Is anyone noticing the relationship between Marinette/Adrien and Ladybug/Chat Noir starting to flip? At the beginning Adrien was not interested in her to begin with and saw her as just a friend but Marinette was totally in love with her, but by the NY special, clearly Adrien sees Marinette as something more while Marinette is trying to force herself to see Adrien as just a friend. The same could be said for Ladybug/ Chat Noir. At the beginning Chat Noir was very pushy and forward with Ladybug while she kept giving him the cold shoulder, eventually Chat Noir has started to realise it's pointless to chase her and as seen in the NY special, gave her a friendship rose. On the other hand, Ladybug has started to drift closer to Chat Noir as she realises how much she needs him to fight Hawk Moth and starts to genuinely appreciate his actions, holding hands and kissing cheeks several times during S3. I'm not exactly sure for the future but it sounds like there might be an interesting turn of events in S4/S5
yes, it's really intresting/funny. Imagine if Marinette said that Adrien was "just a friend" we would all kill her but it would be fun to see Adrien's reaction.
In my opinion I don't think Chloe is in love with Adrien. I honestly think she just is really comfortable around him because they have been friends since childhood, also she used to have Adrien to herself because Gabriel wouldn't let Adrien outside the house. But now ever since he's been out she has to get used to him with other people. I just think she gets really jealous but she isn't in love with him.
I just wish this whole secret identity thing can’t blow over someday but not like that I did in Cat blanc That was just a possibility in a bad way I hope in season 4 and 5 Their identities will be revealed in a good way And also yeah I am Not sure if there’s a season five who knows.

summed up my thoughts on Kagami and Mari perfectly I'm not a Kagami hater but her forwardness with Adrien is one sided and at times too aggressive which makes me dislike her and Mari is also cringe but like I've said before, I think her creepiness with Adrien is just the writers not knowing how to write a teenage girl crush and exaggerating way too much, they could get it right if they tone it down
I am sure they confirmed that during season 4 Marinette will gain confidence now that she is the new guardian also since she’s trying to see Adrien as a friend I think her stalkerish behaviour will stop and we saw in the ny special that she recognises it and is trying to stop it
Yeah, the NY special had a lot of good steps forward. It had both Car Noir and Marinette recognizing the other not as a romantic interest but as a god friend, which is exactly what needs to happen for Ladybug and Adrien to start returning their feelings. And it also had Ladybug valuing Cat Noir, which . . . it's about time.

Not to say that Kagami isn’t a great character deserving of a significant other, but you’re right, she and Adrien are just a very bland couple who don’t really serve much of a story point besides Marinette’s growth away from Adrien being the central focus of her life. They’re probably going to remain a couple for at least half of season four, but will end once Marinette has shifted her focus and they therefore no longer serve a purpose
Personally l would choose Marinette but until she gets character development l am with kagami. Even though l don't ship her and adrien at all adrien needs to realize who he truly loves and wants to be with. And he also needs some character development that's why l think he should date kagami. To realize his true feelings for Marinette.

But we have seen in the season 3 and new york special that a change is occuring in both LadyNoir and MariCat ships..Like Adrien is frequently approaching for physical contacts, and he has started to see marinette more than just friends he even praises her frequently... I think with Kagami and Luka, both of them were written to shine in the areas where the other doesn’t. For Luka, as much as I love him, he’s the most poorly developed character in the whole show. We barely even know who he is. I think this is because his development as a character was put on the chopping block so they could focus on his relationship with Marinette and how it grows. Kagami was the opposite. She’s a polarizing character, and has been from the start. When you look at most of the episodes centered on her, Adrien rarely appears in them. If he does, in something like Animaestro, they’re both just kind of in the background so we don’t get to see much of what, if anything, is developing between them. On the flip side, however, Kagami’s growth as a character is insane for what limited screen time she gets. Instead of exploring her connection with Adrien, the show always lets that take a backseat so that it can make room for Kagami as a character. I think the writers chose this dynamic between our two rival ships on purpose. It really covers all your bases. You’ve got one couple, Adrigami, that really feels like a rival ship. It’s meant to make the audience nervous, and question if Adrien will abandon any interest in Ladybug or developing interest in Marinette, but other than that it’s not really designed to make the viewer root for them. Then, your other couple, Lukanette, is meant to test one’s loyalty as a viewer. They’ve got chemistry unmatched by Adrigami, and since in this pairing of the love square Marinette is the one going unnoticed for some other girl, we want to see her get with a guy who’ll treat her right and make her happy. I agree with you though, I don’t think either ship is right for the endgame. Lukanette might be a tempting thought, but there’s a reason characters in the show keep making comments about Marinette and Adrien being made for each other.
Not trying to rain on the parades of anyone who ships Adrigami. I don’t think they have development or chemistry, but I still respect that there’s something there that leads people to ship. Shipping is subjective so I’m not trying to discourage enjoying the couple. Hell, I love Luka and I just listed all the reasons I shouldn’t 😂

1st of all, those points were approving.......According to me, Marinette is the best choice for Adrien because they are very similar to each other (same behavior, attitude etc) but apart from that.....they clearly understand each other......and now that we know that Adrien has feelings for Marinette which are suppressed (for now atleast).....this gives us some hope that Adrien might reconsider his relationship with Marinette. These are just my thoughts

In pretty sure marinette would accept every part of adrien as shown in truth (and lies) where she likes chat noir's jokes and puns the most. Kahani and Adrien are better off as friends. They have a connection but their forcing it into a relationship. (like what Carly says in icarly). Kagami also doesn't accept every side of adrien. She accepts the perfect side not the imperfect. When Kagami gets akumatised the second time, she makes the mistake of claiming that she could only ever love Adrian. She convinced herself that the very first boy that noticed her was THE ONE and that's not a healthy mindset to have moving forward. How is she going to let go when he chooses someone else?
I think Kagami is better for Adrien, Because they get along well. Near the end of the story Marinette gives up on Adrien and goes for Luka. She's very fond to others, And know's it would be wrong to ruin Kagami and Adrien's friendship.

I think that based off of oblivio, they would work, because they genuinely liked each other’s personalities. when marinette wasn’t stumbling, adrien liked her, and she liked adrien.
Adrien has about as much chemistry with Kagami as I do, which is to say NONE. As was said near the end of the video, THE ENTIRE STORY has been building towards Marinette and Adrien. Having Marinette or Adrien end up with someone else wouldn’t just be a massive mistake from a story perspective, it would be a betrayal of the fans. Just because you know where a story is going doesn’t mean the story is bad as a result. It’s why suspense is far better than simple shock value. As Alfred Hitchcock said: “If you have a room full of people and it blows up, your audience will have about 10 seconds of shock. If you tell your audience that a bomb will blow up in 10 minutes, you now have 10 minutes of suspense.”
I really didn't like Lukanette and Adrigami and couldn't take them seriously, mostly bc it was one sided but like Luka and Kagami dated two people whom they knew were in love with someone else (so what did they expect to happen?) and Marinette and Adrien had to save Paris, they couldn't stay on dates while Paris was terrorised. Marinette and Adrien never told these two they loved them, they just gone out on two dates. Fanon Lukanette and Adrigami were cute, but in canon they were weird, awkward, and obviously nothing was in there. Plus Luka and Kagami have no affect on plot what so ever (so far). Adrinette meanwhile, they had ups and downs but every time they were dating in other timelines they were perfect. Love Square has never left the chat and never will. Plus Adrinette has it's own theme music and umbrella scene, I think there is no point to argue which ship is superior.
I could definitely see Marinette and Adrien / Cat Noir and Ladybug being together as they both have such amazing chemistry, but on the other hand Kugami and Adrien don't really seem like they would be a happy together. I think they would suit each other as "just friends"

Both Lukanette and Adrigami have zero chemistry and since their personalities are two similar they would often clash! So for me, it is always Adrienette and both Adrien and Marinette doesn't love Luka and Kagami. They never did and never will, they have always been Marinette's and Adrien's plan B from the beginning so doesn't Luka/Kagami deserve better? While I agree Marinette doesn't always express her love for Adrien in the most healthy way but that doesn't mean that her feelings for him aren't genuine, deep down she truly loves him and since we know that they are the endgame, they both will probably receive heavy character development that will convince the viewers to ship them even harder, therefore by making their obsession a bit more healthy!!

After watching Ikari Gozen, I fricking love kagami. Although I love Adrienette, kagami would be so perfect with him. Or so I thought. Kagami and Adrien just have no chemistry as said in the video. Now kagami and luka. They're they definition of perfect couple (on paper of course. Adrienette is the more popular perfect couple.) Think about it! My life would be complete knowing luka and kagami aren't going to be left alone and heartbroken. Since luka is such a perfect choice and everyone wants him with Mari. And everyone loves kagami and wants her for Adrien. Finally I don't have to be torn that I like Mari with Adrien!
If we reached a point where we are choosing the 'best option' of partner to Adrien, then we completely forgot the signs and the obvious. Both girls are similar to be honest, personality wise. Kagami may be blunt, seem cold, and too defensive, yet let's not forget the last trait is also Marinette's as well. Kagami is kind on the inside and it can be shown if well interacted with her (both Adrien and Marinette can testify). She is confident, beautiful, and knows what she wants in life which, whether haters like it or not, is actually attractive and appealing in terms of energy and optimism. She's also a good supporter with her wise words. Marinette has the same exact traits for she has beauty in and out, clumsy (from believing so actually - the proof she isn't is Ladybug), seems more social but in fact Kagami is too if it wasn't for her mother, a hard to stop energy, and a big heart, except that she believes the positive ones belong to Ladybug as if that part of her wasn't her. As long as Marinette doesn't believe in herself and mainly love both sides of herself (with or without insecurities and mask on or off), she will keep failing in being an equal match to Kagami while she can be otherwise. One difference would be Kagami giving Adrien a choice as another human while Marinette uses overpower to become Adrien's fate without giving our boy some space and choice to reject and accept as if he was already hers (Season 4 pushing Marinette to focus on herself first before love and boys will make a huge impact on the show and the Relationship Meter, I'm sure). However, by the end of the day, Adrien remains a human with a mind and heart which makes him qualified to choose on his own despite his... Innocence and poor social abilities. I'm certain that both girls will want him happy in the end for they love him which means they will respect his choice and most likely stay friends with the other girl for friendship doesn't end from competition over a lover, correct? We should do the same. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I agree also the point about marinette acting like he's already hers is also shown with kagami. She gets mad that another girl kissed him on the cheek and just that got her akumatised (marinette does too)
I've been reading a lot of webtoons and usually characters similar to Kagami ended up being loved, while characters like Marinette ended up being hated. Also characters similar to Kagami usually ended up being reincarnated and ended up being the lead character.
I think Adrien just needs to move and find a new person to like. Marinette is a stalker who can't even talk to him, and Ladybug is often abusive in the way that she doesn't treat him with a whole lot of dignity. Long story short, Adrien doesn't have any good options and should really just look elsewhere. The only way their relationship makes sense is from a narrative perspective.
I feel like Kagami, Lila, or Chloe would be better as the main character so hear me out first before you say something on why you don’t think so. So why would Kagami, Lila, or Chloe be a better choice then Marinette? Well here’s why I think so. The whole show is based off of the Agreste and Graham De Vanily family background. Gabriel is ShadowMoth, Emily is in a coma, the Graham De Vanily twin rings, Felix, etc. The whole family is the plot of the show. First I will tell you my reasons for Kagami. Tomoe Tursugi is the mother of Kagami and a very close friend of Gabriel Agreste. The friendship of Tomoe and Gabriel has always bothered me. It just doesn’t make sense. He’s Paris most famous fashion designer and she’s well a blind feisty women. So I thought more into this friendship and realized that Gabriel always makes friends with people who can help him with his plans as Hawkmoth. So I’m thinking that Kagamis family has something to do with the backstory of Adriens family. They also have a lot of stuff in common. They both were isolated in their rooms growing up, they do fencing, they both know multiple languages, and they are expected so much from their parents. Next up is Lila. Lila is a pretty questionable character. We all know that Lila has been helping Gabriel as him self and ShadowMoth with their evil schemes. What’s she doing it for? Adrien. What does this have to do with her being meant for Adrien? Simple. Lila has been apart of the background of his family and has been lying just for him. It would be cool to see character development just for her love for Adrien. She also stalks him and lies just for him. Reminds me of somebody. Oh yeah! Marinette. So if it’s ok for Marinette to do it I don’t see why Lila can’t. Lastly Chloe. As we all know Gabriel would not be a well known name if it wasn’t for Audrey. The reason why Gabriel is famous and has his job is because of her. Audrey is very important character for the story and doesn’t get enough credit. I’m hoping that in the Gabriel Agreste episode we learn a bit more about her. I have a feeling there’s more to her then we think. But,back to my explanation. Chloe and Adrien basically grew up together. Chloe is Adriens first friend too. There would be great character development for both characters just to get them together. And to why I don’t think Marinette is a good match for Adrien cuase why not. I feel like Marinette is a Y/n in a Harry Styles high school fan fiction. She has a huge stutter count too. Kinda like every single Y/n. Also she some what reminds me of a Mary Sue. She never really makes mistakes and when she does she doesn’t learn a lesson from them. She’s a perfect character who always does everything right and is perfect in everybody’s eyes. It really annoys me that she can’t talk right around Adrien and always falls. The second hand embarrassment is being given to me way to often too. Also her character is to hard for character development. Her family has no connection to the Agreste or Graham De Vanily family’s either. She also has nothing that her and Adrien can share. The only reason they are friends is because of Alya and Nino dating. If it weren’t for them they’d probably never have spoken.
Basically what these characters want from adrien: Lila- Wealth and power. Chloe- a genuine friend. Kagami- a forced relationship or forced love. Marinette- a sincere love.
Yeah. Seeing season 4 I felt really bad for marinette (and luka, adrien and kagami but mostly marinette honestly) how she just wanted someone to love her and help her. She just wanted sincere love and affection from a significant other but her duties as guardian and ladybug ruined it for her
Bruh I know kagami and lila are toxic but seriously marinette she's a literal stalker , look I don't hate mari but the way thomas has written her kinda gets my nerves. Mari of course. They have gone through a lot together as their hero selves and civilian selves (Adrian and Mari). Also Adrian can't stand Mari been hurt . When Lila hurt Mari Adrian put Lila in her place . That proved Mari matter so much to Adrian .. Also when Mari was almost akumatised in chat blanc Adrian saved her . Another thing Adrian 's first thought is to protect Mari and to ask about her whereabouts. Plus Thomas emphasizes the fact that Adrian and Mari are meant to be like all the time . In the train episode Adrian put his head on her shoulders. Mari is my fav character. She is often misunderstood. Saying she is hella creepy but Adrian doesn't think so .. Adrian said that he doesn't at all mind a lot of pictures of him even in unlikely places . To me Adrian is saying that he doesn't at all mind that Mari has pictures of him and he even said that he was glad to have her as a fan . It's clear Adrian doesn't at all mind Mari 's behaviour and he loves her and always there for her ... Also Mari gave up Adrian in season 3 finale . SHE feels that Adrian likes Kagami so it's best if she keeps her distance . Mari so strong and funny . Her awkward and creepy behaviour makes me laugh .... In puppeteer 2 when Adrian was not a statue and she almost kissed him l laughed my head off . Mari is my fav character. If it wasnt for her and Adrian l would never watch the show. Mari is the most strongest character l have even seen ... She hides her feelings whilst Adrian let's his feelings get in the way .. Also Mari so clumsy and l am also clumsy .Mari is artistic and l am also artistic . I would never hate Mari cause she is super funny , super caring , loving and sweet. When Adrian asked her for love advice she put her feelings aside and helped him with Kagami . That's so sweet if you ask me. If l were her l would never do that. Mari is just a sweety just like Adrian. Those two are made for each other and they love and trust each other . Even people who love each other fight and disagree but at the end they are back together. Mari is sassy.. I just like her.. In new york she admitted she was harsh with chat and regretted what she did ... Mari has emotions ..... Plus it's her first time liking a guy especially one who is famous ... Mari is more and more smart everyday . Even though she is clearly better than chat she said it herself that she can't imagine being ladybug without chat noir.. That means chat noir is important to her ..Clearly even though she doesn't know it she confessed she loves him more than a friend by saying these words....
I agree marinette and Adrien are amazing characters and make a great dynamic. They've got a very complicated relationship. They're very similar but so different
There were a couple of scenes that I did really like with Kagami and Adrien that I thought pointed to a healthier relationship, though I still think all your points stand. But a couple of times I really saw Adrien joking around and playing (more of his cat noir personality) around Kagami. I think they were sword fighting playfully with kitchen utensils in one scene and then there was another where they were laughing and joking about ditching a responsibility or something and I thought it was adorable and I was so happy to see Adrien actually able to relax as himself because even around Marinette he feels a little stiff to me when you consider how playful he is as Cat Noir. I just really need Marienette to love him even for his silly side. The last time he tried to play around with her she did the whole creepy kissing what she thought was wax Adrien. I need that to rectified and both of them to be able to play and laugh with each other.
wow i acrually love this because most of the fandom that ships adrigami is because is healthier I actually not into adrigami but those scenes were very cute tbh, they had pretty good chemistry but not as much adrinette or lukanette, actually kagami and adrien being friends makes more sense to me and tbh adrigami thing feels forced and pretty bland...BUT i have to admit some adrigami scenes were very cute
How I see it: They’re all too young and not mature enough for a relationship, maybe except Luka lol. Otherwise: Adrien is right for Kagami because Kagami needs someone who balances her personality yet is understanding of her and doesn’t get in her way of life. Unfortunately Kagami loves him because “he is the only person perfect for her”, which is so wrong. She’s too immature and expectant of him, and cuts him down quite quickly. He is often down at her side remarks. And while I don’t blame her, Adrien is neglected enough. He needs someone who can care for him and share an emotional connection with. Marinette needs someone like Luka, but they aren’t end game which is a shame. Luka is kind and supportive in a way that doesn’t make Marinette need to depend on him because of how insecure she is, but feel more confident in her decisions and as a person; Luka helps bring out a good side in Marinette that is more confident and self-assured. I think Luka deserves someone who can love him wholeheartedly though, he is the best character in the show alskjalj. So. I don’t know how I feel about this couple. Adrien and Marinette... Marinette would be getting who she wanted, but would Adrien be getting who he wanted? Marinette is emotional and passionate and cares a lot for Adrien, which is the kind of person Adrien needs in his life, but it can be obsessive and often leaves Marinette feeling even more insecure. Not to mention she needs him. She shouldn’t need to be with him, she should want to be with him. It’s a bit too overbearing and would result in a very overbearing and jealous paranoid relationship for him and be tiring for Adrien. I do agree but luka and marinette make a sort of in healthy couple. Marinette loves luka as in truly lives him but at the same she also likes adrien and we can't really blame her for it. She doesn't control who her heart (actually brain since it's in charge of emotions) loves. Mean while I feel like marinette and Adrien would trust each other alot. I mean V after years of trussing each other about their secret identities and waiting for the right time they have a connection. And I sort of want adrienette to have troubles in their relationship so we can see how they get thru it together and grow a stronger bond. After all every couple fights
I agree with every point you made in this video. Kagami and Adrian have ZERO chemistry and it will never work out. Luka and Marinette have chemistry and such but Luka deserves better and Marinette and Adrien just work. If they get character development (with the creepy shit-- which I also think is exaggeration that they need to stop-- and the whole Adrien- Ladybug and Marinette- Adrien) and the directors speed it up more, they could have a real healthy relationship that I would be happy about. I also think they should touch more on certain topics such as: Felix, Adrien dealing with grief, real heartbreak etc. Also, I would love for Chloe to get some character development because in my head, she could be really great and her and Luka could have chemistry.
I think in season 4 we might see ladybug falling in love with chat and drifting away from adrien and adrien falling in love with Marinette and drifting away from ladybug which might also lead us to having more moments of marichat!

And become more powerful to deafest hawk moth. But there’s always a twist it’s not simple and goes happy ending. I think kagami wants to push adrien closer to him more. While marinette knows how to control it, he knows how much she loves Adrien and she knows that’s it’s his choice and not hers. While kagami forcing him to love her. I know Adrien might be that guy, that every girl falls in love with, also his such a nice guy he helps lots of his friends. So I really think he like kagami, also marinette. Thanks for this video. It was very sensible. I agree that Marinette's obsession and clumsy is exaggerated for comedy. Marinette does so many activities, only a cartoon would have the energy to then obsessively moon over a boy. I think because time moves differently in the story, some in the audience are getting annoyed. I have never considered Lila or Chloe for Adrien. I knew Kagami and Adrien will not work b/c he still likes Ladybug. They are also too alike. Kagami needs to rebel a little like Adrien is attempting to do. Also, did everyone forget Kagami got akumatized because she likes Adrien? Marinette has pictures of Adrien b/c he is a model. I remember going through that phase when I was a teen.

I think Marinette and Adrien just need more moments as friends. Like for them to actually see new sides of each other will get them closer. I always felt like Marinette was better because Adrien has been through so much, and needs someone like Marinette, to be there for him. I feel like Mari can show Adrien the love that he has missed from his father, and Kagami kinda fails to show him, affectionate love. Adrien can experience friendly in-laws (another thing Kagami cannot offer).
I feel like theoretically Adrien and Kagami work out. As pointed out in the video they have many things in common BUT I still think Marinette is better for Adrien because he needs to break out of that isolated rich kid world and Kagami wouldn’t be possible to do that since she herself is part of that world. And I think he (and Kagami as well btw) has to get out of that world because it’s just borderline abuse and he would not be able to live a happy life if he continued like that (I’m not done watching the video yet if this gets mentioned at some point then I’m sorry)
Tbh in my opinion the only reason Kagami got in a relationship with Adrien before Marinette did was because she didn’t hesitate, just like she told Marinette “The only reason you stumble is because you hesitate, I never hesitate”. And she’s right in order for Marinette to finally tell Adrien or even Luka maybe how she feels she shouldn’t hesitate on her feelings because it might be too late by the time you gain the courage to confess and someone might’ve taken your crush away. The thing is with Kagami and Luka is that they didn’t hesitate on their feelings towards their crushes which resulted in Kagami getting with Adrien and Luka well he confesses with Marinette while akumatized and not being akumatized, so if Marinette continues to try and see Adrien as a friend then they might be well on their way to becoming a couple, a couple is really like to see Kagami can be pushy with Adrien and doesn’t value his feelings like that which ultimately their relationship will fail, but with Luka I genuinely feel that Marinette will be truly happy and will continue to be happy if Adrien doesn’t come back and invade her mind and heart again. So basically what I’m saying is that Lukanette definitely will be endgame as long as Adrien doesn’t go back into the picture, but to answer your question Marinette is the better choice for Adrien, even though right now I’m more of a Lukanette shipper
In my opinion Kagami is the best option for Adrien because she isn't a creepy stalker like Marinette, she treats Adrien normally and makes him feel comfortable. They also have a lot of things in common and that can bring them closer. You said that you think they don't have any chemestry at all and I noticed that too in season 2 and half of season 3, but at the end of season 3 and the NYC special I noticed there was more chemestry between them, you can see they make each other happy and for me that's what matters. In Miracle Queen Part 2, when Adrien and Kagami are eating the ice cream and Adrien touches Kagami's cheek they both look happy and in love with each other, then, in the NYC special, when Kagami kissed Adrien, Adrien smiled and kept smiling after Kagami left the room like pls they are so cute. But anyways this is just my opinion lol.

I think that since the very beginning, it showed that Adrienette would be a major ship. I personally ship them, but I ship their alter egos more than I ship them. Ladybug’s character and Cat Noir’s character fit so well together. Sometimes Adrien and Marinette can get really awkward, but Ladybug and Cat Noir don’t. They trust each other and depend on each other. The chemistry between them as themselves and as heroes has been lifted from the beginning, and it seems weird for Luka and Kagami to come in and swoop them off their feet. Let’s face it-it’s a little difficult to imagine Adrien and Kagami as a couple. I see them as great friends for sure, but nothing more. It takes more than having things in common to have chemistry. Even in the NY Special, he seemed more excited with the fact of going with New York than being with Kagami. Luka and Marinette. I see why people ship them. Luka is so kind and is someone Marinette can really rely on. For characters, I do kind of ship them, but as far as story wise, I think Luka needed a bit more character development to be with Marinette, since she is such a main character. Anyways, if anyone actually took the time to read that, thank you. It’s my opinion, so don’t change what you think of the whole ship dynamic between all of them because of this.

Adrienette will have problems like adrien's father not accepting marinette or might have trust issues with the whole identity revealed to alya first or chat noir not listening to ladybug in New York special but I would love to see how they get through that and grow a stronger bond. I honestly really like the idea of marinette with Luca and adrien with kagami Like you said, marinette and Luca have a good relationship and they compliment eachother well, Luca actually noticed her for being her and she seems really comfortable around him, and he’s always there to make her feel better. They have a mutual understanding. Adrien and kagami, they’re really close and definitely comfortable with eachother, and the way adrien acts towards her sometimes id a bit more open than he does with his everyday friends, which I think shows that he has some affection towards her, but honestly I’d say they’re better off as close friends 😅 _adrien can just be lover-less.. 👀_
I’m Marinette x Adrien all the way. Kagami is always really reserved/tough and she doesn’t necessarily fit in with Adrien’s kind personality (especially considering Adrien’s true self as Cat Noir). My only problem with Marinette is that the writers make her kind of creepy toward Adrien at times. Like instead of a cute high school crush where she’s so shy and clumsy around him, she’s kind of got an obsession going on. It’s not really cute, I would say. I’m hoping that the creators fix a variety of other aspects in the coming seasons too.
I think Adrian and Kagami could have a best friend relationship if Kagami didn’t have feelings for Adrian because there clearly comfortable around each other and there parents are pushing them towards each other , and I could totally see Kagami trying to help Adrian be more open about his feelings towards Marinette. So I hope their relationship will turn into that in the future.

Adrien knows lila’s a liar. Chloe is slowly finding herself but is still a bit pushy around adrien and friends. Kagami very bland, has less emotion and adrien is very awkward around her. Marinette is slowly becoming different in adriens eyes and there pretty close as friends and have been so meant for eachother, they are just perfect.

At the beginning Adrien was not interested in her to begin with and saw her as just a friend but Marinette was totally in love with her, but by the NY special, clearly Adrien sees Marinette as something more while Marinette is trying to force herself to see Adrien as just a friend.
The same could be said for Ladybug/ Chat Noir. At the beginning Chat Noir was very pushy and forward with Ladybug while she kept giving him the cold shoulder, eventually Chat Noir has started to realise it's pointless to chase her and as seen in the NY special, gave her a friendship rose. On the other hand, Ladybug has started to drift closer to Chat Noir as she realises how much she needs him to fight Hawk Moth and starts to genuinely appreciate his actions, holding hands and kissing cheeks several times during S3.
I'm not exactly sure for the future but it sounds like there might be an interesting turn of events in S4/S5

I think with Kagami and Luka, both of them were written to shine in the areas where the other doesn’t. For Luka, as much as I love him, he’s the most poorly developed character in the whole show. We barely even know who he is. I think this is because his development as a character was put on the chopping block so they could focus on his relationship with Marinette and how it grows. Kagami was the opposite. She’s a polarizing character, and has been from the start. When you look at most of the episodes centered on her, Adrien rarely appears in them. If he does, in something like Animaestro, they’re both just kind of in the background so we don’t get to see much of what, if anything, is developing between them. On the flip side, however, Kagami’s growth as a character is insane for what limited screen time she gets. Instead of exploring her connection with Adrien, the show always lets that take a backseat so that it can make room for Kagami as a character. I think the writers chose this dynamic between our two rival ships on purpose. It really covers all your bases. You’ve got one couple, Adrigami, that really feels like a rival ship. It’s meant to make the audience nervous, and question if Adrien will abandon any interest in Ladybug or developing interest in Marinette, but other than that it’s not really designed to make the viewer root for them. Then, your other couple, Lukanette, is meant to test one’s loyalty as a viewer. They’ve got chemistry unmatched by Adrigami, and since in this pairing of the love square Marinette is the one going unnoticed for some other girl, we want to see her get with a guy who’ll treat her right and make her happy. I agree with you though, I don’t think either ship is right for the endgame. Lukanette might be a tempting thought, but there’s a reason characters in the show keep making comments about Marinette and Adrien being made for each other.
Not trying to rain on the parades of anyone who ships Adrigami. I don’t think they have development or chemistry, but I still respect that there’s something there that leads people to ship. Shipping is subjective so I’m not trying to discourage enjoying the couple. Hell, I love Luka and I just listed all the reasons I shouldn’t 😂

1st of all, those points were approving.......According to me, Marinette is the best choice for Adrien because they are very similar to each other (same behavior, attitude etc) but apart from that.....they clearly understand each other......and now that we know that Adrien has feelings for Marinette which are suppressed (for now atleast).....this gives us some hope that Adrien might reconsider his relationship with Marinette.

Adrien has about as much chemistry with Kagami as I do, which is to say NONE. As was said near the end of the video, THE ENTIRE STORY has been building towards Marinette and Adrien. Having Marinette or Adrien end up with someone else wouldn’t just be a massive mistake from a story perspective, it would be a betrayal of the fans. Just because you know where a story is going doesn’t mean the story is bad as a result. It’s why suspense is far better than simple shock value.

I really didn't like Lukanette and Adrigami and couldn't take them seriously, mostly bc it was one sided but like Luka and Kagami dated two people whom they knew were in love with someone else (so what did they expect to happen?) and Marinette and Adrien had to save Paris, they couldn't stay on dates while Paris was terrorised. Marinette and Adrien never told these two they loved them, they just gone out on two dates. Fanon Lukanette and Adrigami were cute, but in canon they were weird, awkward, and obviously nothing was in there. Plus Luka and Kagami have no affect on plot what so ever (so far). Adrinette meanwhile, they had ups and downs but every time they were dating in other timelines they were perfect. Love Square has never left the chat and never will. Plus Adrinette has it's own theme music and umbrella scene, I think there is no point to argue which ship is superior.
I could definitely see Marinette and Adrien / Cat Noir and Ladybug being together as they both have such amazing chemistry, but on the other hand Kugami and Adrien don't really seem like they would be a happy together. I think they would suit each other as "just friends"

If we reached a point where we are choosing the 'best option' of partner to Adrien, then we completely forgot the signs and the obvious.
Both girls are similar to be honest, personality wise. Kagami may be blunt, seem cold, and too defensive, yet let's not forget the last trait is also Marinette's as well.
Kagami is kind on the inside and it can be shown if well interacted with her (both Adrien and Marinette can testify). She is confident, beautiful, and knows what she wants in life which, whether haters like it or not, is actually attractive and appealing in terms of energy and optimism.
She's also a good supporter with her wise words.
Marinette has the same exact traits for she has beauty in and out, clumsy (from believing so actually - the proof she isn't is Ladybug), seems more social but in fact Kagami is too if it wasn't for her mother, a hard to stop energy, and a big heart, except that she believes the positive ones belong to Ladybug as if that part of her wasn't her. As long as Marinette doesn't believe in herself and mainly love both sides of herself (with or without insecurities and mask on or off), she will keep failing in being an equal match to Kagami while she can be otherwise.
One difference would be Kagami giving Adrien a choice as another human while Marinette uses overpower to become Adrien's fate without giving our boy some space and choice to reject and accept as if he was already hers (Season 4 pushing Marinette to focus on herself first before love and boys will make a huge impact on the show and the Relationship Meter, I'm sure).
However, by the end of the day, Adrien remains a human with a mind and heart which makes him qualified to choose on his own despite his... Innocence and poor social abilities. I'm certain that both girls will want him happy in the end for they love him which means they will respect his choice and most likely stay friends with the other girl for friendship doesn't end from competition over a lover, correct?

I've been reading a lot of webtoons and usually characters similar to Kagami ended up being loved, while characters like Marinette ended up being hated. Also characters similar to Kagami usually ended up being reincarnated and ended up being the lead character.

I feel like Kagami, Lila, or Chloe would be better as the main character so hear me out first before you say something on why you don’t think so. So why would Kagami, Lila, or Chloe be a better choice then Marinette? Well here’s why I think so. The whole show is based off of the Agreste and Graham De Vanily family background. Gabriel is ShadowMoth, Emily is in a coma, the Graham De Vanily twin rings, Felix, etc. The whole family is the plot of the show.
First I will tell you my reasons for Kagami. Tomoe Tursugi is the mother of Kagami and a very close friend of Gabriel Agreste. The friendship of Tomoe and Gabriel has always bothered me. It just doesn’t make sense. He’s Paris most famous fashion designer and she’s well a blind feisty women. So I thought more into this friendship and realized that Gabriel always makes friends with people who can help him with his plans as Hawkmoth. So I’m thinking that Kagamis family has something to do with the backstory of Adriens family. They also have a lot of stuff in common. They both were isolated in their rooms growing up, they do fencing, they both know multiple languages, and they are expected so much from their parents.
Next up is Lila. Lila is a pretty questionable character. We all know that Lila has been helping Gabriel as him self and ShadowMoth with their evil schemes. What’s she doing it for? Adrien. What does this have to do with her being meant for Adrien? Simple. Lila has been apart of the background of his family and has been lying just for him. It would be cool to see character development just for her love for Adrien. She also stalks him and lies just for him. Reminds me of somebody. Oh yeah! Marinette. So if it’s ok for Marinette to do it I don’t see why Lila can’t.
Lastly Chloe. As we all know Gabriel would not be a well known name if it wasn’t for Audrey. The reason why Gabriel is famous and has his job is because of her. Audrey is very important character for the story and doesn’t get enough credit. I’m hoping that in the Gabriel Agreste episode we learn a bit more about her. I have a feeling there’s more to her then we think. But,back to my explanation. Chloe and Adrien basically grew up together. Chloe is Adriens first friend too. There would be great character development for both characters just to get them together.
And to why I don’t think Marinette is a good match for Adrien cuase why not. I feel like Marinette is a Y/n in a Harry Styles high school fan fiction. She has a huge stutter count too. Kinda like every single Y/n. Also she some what reminds me of a Mary Sue. She never really makes mistakes and when she does she doesn’t learn a lesson from them. She’s a perfect character who always does everything right and is perfect in everybody’s eyes. It really annoys me that she can’t talk right around Adrien and always falls. The second hand embarrassment is being given to me way to often too. Also her character is to hard for character development. Her family has no connection to the Agreste or Graham De Vanily family’s either. She also has nothing that her and Adrien can share. The only reason they are friends is because of Alya and Nino dating. If it weren’t for them they’d probably never have spoken.

It's clear Adrian doesn't at all mind Mari 's behaviour and he loves her and always there for her ... Also Mari gave up Adrian in season 3 finale . SHE feels that Adrian likes Kagami so it's best if she keeps her distance . Mari so strong and funny . Her awkward and creepy behaviour makes me laugh .... In puppeteer 2 when Adrian was not a statue and she almost kissed him l laughed my head off . Mari is my fav character. If it wasnt for her and Adrian l would never watch the show. Mari is the most strongest character l have even seen ... She hides her feelings whilst Adrian let's his feelings get in the way .. Also Mari so clumsy and l am also clumsy .Mari is artistic and l am also artistic . I would never hate Mari cause she is super funny , super caring , loving and sweet. When Adrian asked her for love advice she put her feelings aside and helped him with Kagami . That's so sweet if you ask me. If l were her l would never do that. Even people who love each other fight and disagree but at the end they are back together. Mari is sassy.. I just like her.. There were a couple of scenes that I did really like with Kagami and Adrien that I thought pointed to a healthier relationship, though I still think all your points stand. But a couple of times I really saw Adrien joking around and playing (more of his cat noir personality) around Kagami. I think they were sword fighting playfully with kitchen utensils in one scene and then there was another where they were laughing and joking about ditching a responsibility or something and I thought it was adorable and I was so happy to see Adrien actually able to relax as himself because even around Marinette he feels a little stiff to me when you consider how playful he is as Cat Noir. I just really need Marienette to love him even for his silly side. The last time he tried to play around with her she did the whole creepy kissing what she thought was wax Adrien. I need that to rectified and both of them to be able to play and laugh with each other.

They’re all too young and not mature enough for a relationship, maybe except Luka lol. Otherwise:
Adrien is right for Kagami because Kagami needs someone who balances her personality yet is understanding of her and doesn’t get in her way of life. Unfortunately Kagami loves him because “he is the only person perfect for her”, which is so wrong. She’s too immature and expectant of him, and cuts him down quite quickly. He is often down at her side remarks. And while I don’t blame her, Adrien is neglected enough. He needs someone who can care for him and share an emotional connection with.
Marinette needs someone like Luka, but they aren’t end game which is a shame. Luka is kind and supportive in a way that doesn’t make Marinette need to depend on him because of how insecure she is, but feel more confident in her decisions and as a person; Luka helps bring out a good side in Marinette that is more confident and self-assured. I think Luka deserves someone who can love him wholeheartedly though, he is the best character in the show alskjalj. So. I don’t know how I feel about this couple.
Adrien and Marinette... Marinette would be getting who she wanted, but would Adrien be getting who he wanted? Marinette is emotional and passionate and cares a lot for Adrien, which is the kind of person Adrien needs in his life, but it can be obsessive and often leaves Marinette feeling even more insecure. Not to mention she needs him. She shouldn’t need to be with him, she should want to be with him. It’s a bit too overbearing and would result in a very overbearing and jealous paranoid relationship for him and be tiring for Adrien.

I mean V after years of trussing each other about their secret identities and waiting for the right time they have a connection. Luka and Marinette have chemistry and such but Luka deserves better and Marinette and Adrien just work. If they get character development (with the creepy shit-- which I also think is exaggeration that they need to stop-- and the whole Adrien- Ladybug and Marinette- Adrien) and the directors speed it up more, they could have a real healthy relationship that I would be happy about. I also think they should touch more on certain topics such as: Felix, Adrien dealing with grief, real heartbreak etc. Also, I would love for Chloe to get some character development because in my head, she could be really great and her and Luka could have chemistry.

She’s so obsessed that she won’t acknowledged accept any flaws. She’s over possessive, like she’ll follow anyone who she thinks likes adrien. While Adrien does appreciate her leadership, kindness, etc, he doesn’t realize that she’s obsessed with him. Like even if they dated do you know how toxic of a relationship it would be? If the creators of miraculous actually learned how to write a teenage girl then it would be fine. Also ladynoir is the best ship honestly because there is a mutual respect in some degree.

But all of them are just 2 people in costumes or without costumes. Marinette having pictures of adrien on her walls or under her bed is basically every adrien obsessed fan like that guy in party crasher. My closing has over 1000 pictures or raya and namaari. Having them in your walls is basically the same thing as having them on your laptop or phone. Adrien knows about the pictures but he isn't bothered. Why? Because he thinks it's about fashion is the thing stated in the show but it's also common for celebs to not be suprised over a thousand pictures because they have obsessed fans everywhere. How would adrienette be toxic btw? If i se them get together they would help and comfort each other for example marinette has helped adrien constantly with his father and Adrien might be able to help marinette become more calm and collected. Marinette being jealous of they do get together would probably only be jealous of a person who flirt with adrien or like him. Wait so like, they are the main characters and main characters always goes together, but in the other hand they’ll be some twist of adrien liking both girls. But I’m pretty sure not 100% though they’ll get together. It just takes time, but when they’re adults I know they’ll move on from their parents and maybe they’ll finally reveal their secret identity. And become more powerful to deafest hawk moth. But there’s always a twist it’s not simple and goes happy ending. I think kagami wants to push adrien closer to him more. While marinette knows how to control it, he knows how much she loves Adrien and she knows that’s it’s his choice and not hers. While kagami forcing him to love her. I know Adrien might be that guy, that every girl falls in love with, also his such a nice guy he helps lots of his friends. So I really think he like kagami, also marinette. Secretly, they see eachother more, while kagami and Adrien only does fencing together. But in the last season 3part 2 of the episode. You see them, kagami and Adrien together having ice-cream together, and Luca and marinette I don’t think Luca would have marinette because he knows he truely love Adrien more, and his a special great character he knows how special he is for marinette. Remeber the time when it started raining, while marinette try’s to go home but it started to rain and Adrien gave his umbrella. After that master fu said, “those two are made for eachother”. So as the New York special of the girl saying, “a those two are meant to be together”. I’m sure they’ll be together but in a twist it’s never too simple. Thanks for this video. It was very sensible. I agree that Marinette's obsession and clumsy is exaggerated for comedy. Marinette does so many activities, only a cartoon would have the energy to then obsessively moon over a boy. I think because time moves differently in the story, some in the audience are getting annoyed. I have never considered Lila or Chloe for Adrien. I knew Kagami and Adrien will not work b/c he still likes Ladybug. They are also too alike. Kagami needs to rebel a little like Adrien is attempting to do. Also, did everyone forget Kagami got akumatized because she likes Adrien? Marinette has pictures of Adrien b/c he is a model. I remember going through that phase when I was a teen.
Kagami and adrien is like same poles of magnet which are in same category and knows each other but always keep repelling. That's why Adrien and marinette is a perfect couple .😚✌

I think Marinette and Adrien just need more moments as friends. Like for them to actually see new sides of each other will get them closer. For example let Marinette be more confident around him and let Adrien make jokes and have her laugh at them and maybe have them lowkey flirt? I stan a more confident Marinette just so they can switch roles.

I always felt like Marinette was better because Adrien has been through so much, and needs someone like Marinette, to be there for him. I feel like Mari can show Adrien the love that he has missed from his father, and Kagami kinda fails to show him, affectionate love. Adrien can experience friendly in-laws (another thing Kagami cannot offer).
I feel like theoretically Adrien and Kagami work out. As pointed out in the video they have many things in common BUT I still think Marinette is better for Adrien because he needs to break out of that isolated rich kid world and Kagami wouldn’t be possible to do that since she herself is part of that world. And I think he (and Kagami as well btw) has to get out of that world because it’s just borderline abuse and he would not be able to live a happy life if he continued like that (I’m not done watching the video yet if this gets mentioned at some point then I’m sorry)
Tbh in my opinion the only reason Kagami got in a relationship with Adrien before Marinette did was because she didn’t hesitate, just like she told Marinette “The only reason you stumble is because you hesitate, I never hesitate”. And she’s right in order for Marinette to finally tell Adrien or even Luka maybe how she feels she shouldn’t hesitate on her feelings because it might be too late by the time you gain the courage to confess and someone might’ve taken your crush away. The thing is with Kagami and Luka is that they didn’t hesitate on their feelings towards their crushes which resulted in Kagami getting with Adrien and Luka well he confesses with Marinette while akumatized and not being akumatized, so if Marinette continues to try and see Adrien as a friend then they might be well on their way to becoming a couple, a couple is really like to see Kagami can be pushy with Adrien and doesn’t value his feelings like that which ultimately their relationship will fail, but with Luka I genuinely feel that Marinette will be truly happy and will continue to be happy if Adrien doesn’t come back and invade her mind and heart again. So basically what I’m saying is that Lukanette definitely will be endgame as long as Adrien doesn’t go back into the picture, but to answer your question Marinette is the better choice for Adrien, even though right now I’m more of a Lukanette shipper

In my opinion Kagami is the best option for Adrien because she isn't a creepy stalker like Marinette, she treats Adrien normally and makes him feel comfortable. They also have a lot of things in common and that can bring them closer. You said that you think they don't have any chemestry at all and I noticed that too in season 2 and half of season 3, but at the end of season 3 and the NYC special I noticed there was more chemestry between them, you can see they make each other happy and for me that's what matters. In Miracle Queen Part 2, when Adrien and Kagami are eating the ice cream and Adrien touches Kagami's cheek they both look happy and in love with each other, then, in the NYC special, when Kagami kissed Adrien, Adrien smiled and kept smiling after Kagami left the room like pls they are so cute. But anyways this is just my opinion lol.

I think that since the very beginning, it showed that Adrienette would be a major ship. I personally ship them, but I ship their alter egos more than I ship them. Ladybug’s character and Cat Noir’s character fit so well together. Sometimes Adrien and Marinette can get really awkward, but Ladybug and Cat Noir don’t. They trust each other and depend on each other. The chemistry between them as themselves and as heroes has been lifted from the beginning, and it seems weird for Luka and Kagami to come in and swoop them off their feet. Let’s face it-it’s a little difficult to imagine Adrien and Kagami as a couple. I see them as great friends for sure, but nothing more. It takes more than having things in common to have chemistry. Even in the NY Special, he seemed more excited with the fact of going with New York than being with Kagami. Luka and Marinette. I see why people ship them. Luka is so kind and is someone Marinette can really rely on. For characters, I do kind of ship them, but as far as story wise, I think Luka needed a bit more character development to be with Marinette, since she is such a main character.
Anyways, if anyone actually took the time to read that, thank you. It’s my opinion, so don’t change what you think of the whole ship dynamic between all of them because of this.
I agree with this completely. Adrien and kagami are better off as friends while luka and marinette seem like a very bland ship. Adrienette will have problems like adrien's father not accepting marinette or might have trust issues with the whole identity revealed to alya first or chat noir not listening to ladybug in New York special but I would love to see how they get through that and grow a stronger bond. Adrien and kagami, they’re really close and definitely comfortable with eachother, and the way adrien acts towards her sometimes id a bit more open than he does with his everyday friends, which I think shows that he has some affection towards her, but honestly I’d say they’re better off as close friends 😅

I’m Marinette x Adrien all the way. Kagami is always really reserved/tough and she doesn’t necessarily fit in with Adrien’s kind personality (especially considering Adrien’s true self as Cat Noir).
My only problem with Marinette is that the writers make her kind of creepy toward Adrien at times. Like instead of a cute high school crush where she’s so shy and clumsy around him, she’s kind of got an obsession going on. It’s not really cute, I would say. I’m hoping that the creators fix a variety of other aspects in the coming seasons too.
Yeah they made her crush seem wrong and Chat Noir's seem romantic, hopefully season 4 gives her character justice! So far it has!

I think Adrian and Kagami could have a best friend relationship if Kagami didn’t have feelings for Adrian because there clearly comfortable around each other and there parents are pushing them towards each other , and I could totally see Kagami trying to help Adrian be more open about his feelings towards Marinette. Adrien knows lila’s a liar. Chloe is slowly finding herself but is still a bit pushy around adrien and friends. Kagami very bland, has less emotion and adrien is very awkward around her.
