Within minutes lost my voice... Today morning the, same, thing happened.. So I just now read an article which says that speakers/ singers should not use aspirin on the, day they speak or sing excessively! Oh God! It took so long for me to realize I am allergic to Aspirin!

    Dobrý den, Katarino :) Could you please make a video on LPR/ silent reflux? Are there some exercises that would help with that? Děkuji!

    • @healthyvoicetips
      @healthyvoicetips  2 года назад +1

      Dobry den, Alzbeta! I already have a few videos on that topic. The real solution to acid reflux is to manage the reflux (either with medication, or with diet and behavioural management depending on the severity). When it comes to specific vocal exercises, I would suggest any type of SOVT exercises (also made several videos on this topic), such as straws or lip trills or using fricatives (sounds like V, Z, ZH) to warm up your voice. But vocal exercises themselves will not fix the issue. It has to be a combination of acid reflux management and vocal exercises.
      Dufam, ze Vam moja odpoved pomoze. Ak mate ine otazky, rada na ne odpoviem. 😉

    Hi Katarina,
    I am suffering from grade 1 Sulcus Vocalis with high pitch voice. I consulted couple of laryngologists and had gone through few voice therapy sessions which they suggested & found some mild improvements. I am following your videos since past few months & also tried few exercises such Straw, resonance, Diaphram breathing etc. However, Would you please suggest me which one according to you could really help me in my case as per your experience ?

      I am sorry Harshal, but this is not my area of expertise. So, I cannot really tell you which one would work best.

    I have had voice issues since Feb. 2020. Its so bad, i Cant even humm, cant do lip trills, can't do the straw exercise. They said that I have vocal dysphonia. Haven't been able to talk or sing. Been to 3 otolaryngologists. Now looking at botox injections. Cant stop all the tension. No exercises you've given me work. Lungs and throat are inflamed. Also did 3 mos chemo, which made it worse. Not using voice much since I cant teach. Trying to get rid of all the phlegm , have sinus drainage- a lot as nd also acid reflux. They are getting better, acid got better, using an allergy medicine but still lot of phlegm. SO frustrated I could scream.

      I am sorry to hear about your vocal troubles. It seems that your problems can only be solved with individual attention from a voice therapist, not from online videos. Be strong! Sometimes, finding the right solution can take time.

      I am sorry to hear about your voice troubles. Have you seen a laryngologist for a voice assessment? That would be the first step in helping your voice.

    I keep clearing my voice, but even when I'm doing nothing and when I stop singing I feel my voice a bit tired. Today I was singing in the shower and for the first time I was able to hit high notes with strength and without effort but I still felt the voice a bit tired after. I think this happens cause I always talk to fast and loud

    Hi Mam, your video looks really helpful, but my issue is that I don’t feel power to my voice . Everytime I have to clear my throat before delivering clear audio, which gradually become habit now. I had shown to ENT and they examined my throat with Layrangoscopy . As per doctor there nothing looks serious neither reflux but while speaking my cords leaving some air space and he refer me to Voice therapist. As per him I am not using my voice with full capacity . Please help and tell what specific exercise and things I should do. I’m in voice extensive job. I am doing ur advised exercises but still feeling discomfort to my throat or something chocking or blocking me to speak.

      Rohit, there is no one specific exercise that I can give you if I don't know you. Speak to your voice therapist who heard your voice and assessed you. They will know what specific exercises you should be doing. I wish you all the best.
