    If you are wondering how to relieve vocal tension, vocal strain or even pain, let me show you three of my favourite vocal tension release exercises for a strained voice. Tension can come from many different places in your body, therefore you should try different types of vocal tension exercises to find which ones work for you. With one of these exercises, you will learn how to avoid vocal strain even before you say anything. With another one, you will learn how to reduce muscle tension when making sounds or how to reduce throat tension after voice use.
    These three vocal exercises for strained voice will teach you how to relieve vocal tension and release throat tension so that your voice becomes free and flexible.

    Thank you for your videos! Are we we supposed to take a deep breath before blowing in the straw? Also when we speak are we supposed to take a deep breath or small breaths in between sentences? And can we breathe through our mouths instead of the nose when we are talking? Thanks for your time!

    • @healthyvoicetips
      @healthyvoicetips  3 года назад +1

      You do not need deep breaths for talking or blowing through the straws. On the contrary, you probably will do better with smaller breaths in both cases because large lung volumes can cause tension. It is ok to inhale through the mouth when talking abut breathing at rest should be through the nose.

    • @healthyvoicetips
      @healthyvoicetips  Год назад

      That often happens when people are dealing with extra tension, like you. You may not be ready for humming or you need someone to give you feedback on how to hum in a different way because there are many structures participating in creating that sound. Some of the structures can be working too hard and causing the tension. Ask your therapist to help you with that. If you have any other questions, let me know via email at myhealthyvoice@gmail.com because I don't come here too often any more.

    Shalom. I loose my voice after prolonged singing. I was diagnosed as using my false vocal cords. Is this the same as muscle tension dysphonia? I haven't seen a video of yours dealing with this topic. Many thanks!

    • @healthyvoicetips
      @healthyvoicetips  7 месяцев назад +1

      I am sorry to hear about your vocal troubles. It is common for people with muscle tension dysphonia to overuse false vocal folds. It is one of the most common symptoms visible on the videostroboscopy. I don't talk about this topic much in my RUclips videos because it requires exercises that are tricky and need more guidance than just a public video.

      With techniques that release tension even before you say or sing anything and then with techniques for healthy voice production that don't invite tension. Your question is so broad that I could write books on this topic. Look through my channel to learn some of those techniques from the videos I already published.

    Hi Katarina Madam, I'm 17 yrs old now....when I was 16 yrs my voice was very beautiful and everyone appreciated me....but suddenly I used to wear earphones and used to sing loudly and at high pitch....now my voice has lost its attrativity.....I am having two questions:-
    1)How can I overcome these problems and make my voice as good as it was earlier after the complete voice change of mine??
    2)Will my changed voice become good?

    • @healthyvoicetips
      @healthyvoicetips  3 года назад +1

      1. I would recommend that you seek help of a professional to check your voice. I am not understanding whether your voice changed because you got older or because you used it at its extremes. 2. With vocal training, everyone can improve their voice. A good voice is very subjective.

    • @healthyvoicetips
      @healthyvoicetips  3 года назад +1

      @@smitaingale1525 spasmodic dysphonia is a tricky condition. Generally speaking, voice therapy is not the first line of treatment but I 've heard from some people with this condition that it may help. Vocal exercises will not eliminate the cause of spasmodic dysphonia but may help release tension from muscles around the voice box.
