Must have been for you❤️ So I think they said they learned in therapy that the strong urge/cravings last 7 minutes. So they got themselves a Sudoku book and for every urge, they did Sudoku instead. They said it was really, really hard for 6 months or so, but after that it got easier. I hope that helps you! It's not your fault you got stuck in the cycle, just keep praying, keep fighting, and I hope that tip helps❤️ Even if something else works better. Get well soon! It's a sickness, so treat it like that🫂❤️🩹
Gluttony is taking food, eating it to make sure YOU have, at the expense of others. I think people assume all fat people are 'gluttons.' If true, their definition needs revision.

I was a federal prison chaplain for 31 years and I saw many people who were incarcerated due to their selfish greed. One man, who did repent, shared with me that the more he stole from others the more he wanted.
Sin will take us farther than we want to go and keep us longer than we want to stay. Cost us more than we want to pay. Thanks be God that Jesus stayed upon the cross until my sin account was paid in full.

I hear this alot "multiple streams of income" and I often ask when do you have time God when you're a busy body chasing money still never satisfied and what they're chasing doesn't grow. I don't know about anyone else but I have to spend time with God reading His word to stay grounded and in His Will

It’s mostly messages about “blessings or it’s my season” etc. Brother Allen the verse I think about is, “guard your heart for out of it are the issues of life”. Think another thing we struggle with is envy, especially through social media. Social media has made it easy to see someone with some and out of nowhere we want it. We never needed it until we see someone with it.

Thank you for this, i havent given in church for like 2 months, and i was tithing 10% weekly for the longest time. I know we not required to tithe 10%. I think thats actually why i stopped 2 months ago, but ive made all this money and havent given the Lord anything for 8 weeks. I went to my church app and gave. Idk if it was greed lately, but i do know that EVERYTHING i have is because of our loving GOD & Savior Jesus Christ, i would have nothing if it wasnt for Him. Thanks for the video. God bless! ❤

A minor story: I will never forget I was shopping for a customer, and it was Thanksgiving when people were getting stuff to make their dishes for Thanksgiving. Anyways, people were looking for some turkey necks. Let's just say an employee brought out a few turkey necks, and that was it. A lady took all the turkey necks, knowing people were waiting for them. She tried justifying her disgusted behavior by saying that her family was big and she needed three turkey necks. I was shocked and in disbelief.

As an adult, I have vowed to myself to receive all of the “things” denied during my childhood. So I like collecting high-end figures of various characters in games cartoons or cinema. Because of the economy I've recently slowed down on collecting. I've always known, being part of the collecting community, that no matter how much you obtain, you will always want more, so I prayed to Jesus about it. Wow Bro. Allen! This vid was RIGHT ON TIME for me! I was thinking about some things I felt led to discontinue. Sometimes even hobbies can become a big distraction. I’ve invested a lot of time, energy, and money into these hobbies. And while it’s been fun, I realized it wasn’t all worth it. At the source of it was the thrill and the rush but not enough contentment and peace in the end. Now I’m taking steps to putting God’s interests first and moving on from those hobbies altogether. 😎
It wasn’t my intention, but simply using the Lord‘s prayer as a template for my prayers helped me be more content. The very first part is thank God for all you’ve been blessed with doing that on a daily basis. You can only go deeper and deeper of what you’ve been blessed with those things you take for granted. Looking at the needs of others you can’t help but to become content.

Selfish Ambition is another one, pursing career or buiness endeavours for wealth and status, while rejecting a genuine calling to ministry, or treating calling to ministry as means to personal gain.
I struggle so much with greed in desire to have a house. We have a big family in a tiny apartment. It is so cramped with all of our stuff, mostly clothes, toys, and homeschool books. We also don't have enough beds because of a lack of space. And we keep all the kids' clothes and schoolbooks as hand-me-downs for all the kids because they are expensive! But the clutter is so overwhelming, I find it difficult to be content. I wish so badly to have a house so we can have room for us all and our things. I feel so greedy and materialistic, but it is so hard not to let it control my life! I know in my brain we are beyond blessed and are given what we need, so how can I get over it?
I have just prayed for you and your family, and will continue praying for you. I have struggled with similar issues. Desiring appropriate shelter for you and your family is understandable. Seek God first though. Bring this issue to Him frequently in prayer, then after praying, try to let it go. It’s true that you are already blessed with a wonderful family, so try to be content throughout each day. Pray about this each day, then let it go, knowing that He has you safely in His grip.

I grew up in poverty so I feel like im always in survival mode. Is it considered greedy to try to save money or to be frugal? I don't necessarily desire to have more, I just try to conserve what I have.
The Bible isn't against someone saving money and being frugal. In fact, it teaches that it is actually wise for someone to save money and live within their means.
I think there's a difference between ambition and diligence. Ambition: working hard for selfish reasons. Diligence: working hard for unselfish reasons. And I do believe it says somewhat in the Bible that we should do nothing out of vain ambition but labor to help others.
Having an ambition is not inherently selfish. The thing that makes it bad is when it is centered around advancing the interests of the self. If i had the ambition to start a community outreach program for example, would that be selfish? No. If i had the ambition to be the wealthiest drug dealer in the community, that would be different.
Even if your plans don't turn out, we should be grateful and press on. Let us Remember, pick up your cross and follow him. That could be a life of challenges that we don't understand in rich USA most of the time. Most countries struggle with financial gain due tobteor economy. This something that even USA Christians don't experience, mostly. We are so blessed, even when money is low.
And just as bad as greed is the idolatry in the form of worshipping these politicians like gods, and putting politics before God Himself.. Please do a video on how many "Christians" are putting the empty words of politicians before the Word of God.

So I like collecting high-end figures of various characters in games cartoons or cinema. Because of the economy I've recently slowed down on collecting. I've always known, being part of the collecting community, that no matter how much you obtain, you will always want more, so I prayed to Jesus about it. But I never would have imagine that this fell under the sin of greed. I always thought greed was wanting more money, but now I know better. God bless you pastor Allen and everyone who read.

Wow Bro. Allen! This vid was RIGHT ON TIME for me! I was thinking about some things I felt led to discontinue. Sometimes even hobbies can become a big distraction. I’ve invested a lot of time, energy, and money into these hobbies. And while it’s been fun, I realized it wasn’t all worth it. At the source of it was the thrill and the rush but not enough contentment and peace in the end. Now I’m taking steps to putting God’s interests first and moving on from those hobbies altogether. 😎

It wasn’t my intention, but simply using the Lord‘s prayer as a template for my prayers helped me be more content. The very first part is thank God for all you’ve been blessed with doing that on a daily basis. You can only go deeper and deeper of what you’ve been blessed with those things you take for granted. Looking at the needs of others you can’t help but to become content.

Selfish Ambition is another one, pursing career or buiness endeavours for wealth and status, while rejecting a genuine calling to ministry, or treating calling to ministry as means to personal gain.

I struggle so much with greed in desire to have a house. We have a big family in a tiny apartment. It is so cramped with all of our stuff, mostly clothes, toys, and homeschool books. We also don't have enough beds because of a lack of space. And we keep all the kids' clothes and schoolbooks as hand-me-downs for all the kids because they are expensive! But the clutter is so overwhelming, I find it difficult to be content. I wish so badly to have a house so we can have room for us all and our things. I feel so greedy and materialistic, but it is so hard not to let it control my life! I know in my brain we are beyond blessed and are given what we need, so how can I get over it?
I have just prayed for you and your family, and will continue praying for you. I have struggled with similar issues. Desiring appropriate shelter for you and your family is understandable. Seek God first though. Bring this issue to Him frequently in prayer, then after praying, try to let it go. It’s true that you are already blessed with a wonderful family, so try to be content throughout each day. Pray about this each day, then let it go, knowing that He has you safely in His grip.

I grew up in poverty so I feel like im always in survival mode. Is it considered greedy to try to save money or to be frugal? I don't necessarily desire to have more, I just try to conserve what I have.
The Bible isn't against someone saving money and being frugal. In fact, it teaches that it is actually wise for someone to save money and live within their means.
I think there's a difference between ambition and diligence. Ambition: working hard for selfish reasons. Diligence: working hard for unselfish reasons. And I do believe it says somewhat in the Bible that we should do nothing out of vain ambition but labor to help others.
Having an ambition is not inherently selfish. The thing that makes it bad is when it is centered around advancing the interests of the self. If i had the ambition to start a community outreach program for example, would that be selfish? No. If i had the ambition to be the wealthiest drug dealer in the community, that would be different.
Stealing is a symptom of greed...

Even if your plans don't turn out, we should be grateful and press on. Let us Remember, pick up your cross and follow him. That could be a life of challenges that we don't understand in rich USA most of the time. Most countries struggle with financial gain due tobteor economy. This something that even USA Christians don't experience, mostly. We are so blessed, even when money is low.
And just as bad as greed is the idolatry in the form of worshipping these politicians like gods, and putting politics before God Himself..
Please do a video on how many "Christians" are putting the empty words of politicians before the Word of God.
