Wonderful. Before I became a Christian, I used to go out with friends to bars and clubs. When I became a Christian, I prayed and prayed to God to take away my thirst for alcohol and, I swear, I no longer care for alcohol one bit, not interested. God is faithful.
This morning I slipped up and watched pornography. I confess to my brothers and sisters in Christ, and ask of you all to pray for me such that I am able to strengthen my trust in God’s word, and hone my obedience to his commands.
I slip up as well after years of abstaining , but we are claiming victory to completely STOP viewing immoral objects! Praying for you brother! It is hard, but take the steps needed to change and feel the conviction every time. Keep working and pray to Jesus for the strength you (we) need!
We can pray for you but the best has to come from YOU and you only. Don't give up. As someone who battles those thoughts, I can tell you that it becomes easier with time. At some point you will reach a level at which those thoughts will only overtake you when you let them. That's where I am right now and it's constant battle in my mind but it's definitely easier. I went from having physical pain from stopping to actually being motivated to pray whenever I feel in danger. In conclusion, keep going and don't let guilt eat away at you. The more you come to the Holy Father, the stronger his infmuence on you will be. Best wishes to you and may the Holiness of God overtake your temptations and destroy them Amen.
I have unbeliever friends who if I talked to them about it, they would say it is all natural. Then with my Christian friends, I feel like they will look at me like I am some sort of pervert if I told them I struggle with lust. I confided with two friends about it and they made me feel like a weirdo pervert. I wish I felt comfortable with friends to talk about it with them
The devil tries to persuade me that I have to give in, but I don’t. God gives me the strength to overpower lust. This video really helped me brothers !
Praise God. Idk if anyone will read this but personally declaring to God that I’m committed to fleeing from all lust in my life really helped me. I struggled for a long time and this finally made me feel free. Any time i think about anything lustful I immediately run to God in prayer, confess my sins and ask for God’s protection. God has really blessed me and I am so thankful to Him.

Lessons that I will never forget. after my first breakup, i fell deeper than i ever have before. i’m embarrassed of my past. i’ve been scammed because of lust. i was a fool. with the help of God’s grace and power, i’ve been able to destroy the scamming relationship that hindered my life for a year. Now, i start my journey to becoming completely pure sexually. I know it’s going to be a tough battle. I’ll go through withdrawals like I used to. However, i know that I can all things through Christ, and I will become sexually pure.

God delivered me from a very similar situation. I know how you feel. In my situation, I had to confess all my sin to my wife and my pastor. Since then I've had an accountability partner and I have gone for regular biblical counseling. There is hope

I have my own specific prayer that I pray 4-5 times a day that no thoughts of sexual fantasies or pornography will enter my mind or heart. I ask the Holy Spirit for strength, wisdom, guidance and direction in this problem area of lust in my life and to refill my mind and heart with the Holy Spirit. it's been very effective, and the more I say the prayer the more strength I get from the Holy Spirit. A family member just got sentenced to 9 years in prison for downloading illegal content. It was clearly an addiction that he lost control of. He realizes and has repented and is on a new journey. If he could, he would beg all of you….don’t look at it! He has lost everything including a beautiful family. He hopes to help others with this issue ..especially the one no one can admit or talk about. He never in a million years thought he’d end up in this situation. And kudos to the people who minister in prison.

Social media for sure! I got off ALL social media years ago, it was one of my main avenues for hooking up... no more! Its one more chain that i have been released from. I knew God was telling me to stop watching the movies, listening to the music promoting sexual promiscuity and come off social media that encouraged sensuality. 4 years later I feel free and when the devil attacks I run to God in prayer and think on scripture and marvel at his being. Everyday I long to please the Lord. Whom the Son sets free is free indeed! Thank you Jesus!
Please pray for me… I struggle with this currently. I know it’s a sin, I get convincted of it everytime I look at it. My wife caught me 2 years ago and now I’m back to the old sin. I don’t want to loose her and if this keeps happening I will. I’m telling her tonight after church.

For me, what really helped was realizing how connected the industry is to things like human trafficking and exploitation. It opened my eyes to the fact that there’s no way to know for sure if what you’re watching is hurting someone.

I am currently struggling with lust my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ via corn.. Sometimes I do good without a few days but then fall right back in. Please pray for me as I struggle with this terrible sin, that the Lord and our Heavenly Father will deliver me from this sin, I can feel the disappointment from Heaven itself.
Just remember that Jesus died for those sins already. Don't wallow in guilt, but move on into freedom. Make note of where you are tempted and stay away from those situations as much as possible and keep in the Word man. Also, have someone that can call you out that you can talk to. Not to commiserate, but to build you up and strengthen your spiritual defenses.

Lust is a hard thing for me. I struggle with seeing people in public and imagining such lustful thoughts about them. It's even worse when online. I just need to stop watching and listening to all things because I can't focus on God and what he wants for my life. Another helpful tool is to give yourself a mental "high five" every time you say no to temptation. It will reward your brain and train your brain that saying no is rewarding. Turning from the temptation and not allowing it to stick around will give you a much better chance to say no to the temptation

One of the things I have done to to have self control with my temptation. When I catch myself in temptation. I got straight to God's word and I pray. I got rid of all social media and even stopped listening to music in my car so that I can corner my mind to see Christ as my answer and nothing else. It is not easy but it is true. Thank you LORD.

It can be hard(er) for the married as well! SOmetimes your mate stops or does not want intimacy when you do, sometimes your drive increases and theirs does not, and also the temptation does not go away just because you are married. Placing your faith in God, keeping your own integrity, and the love of your spouse, also will help stop lusting in marriage.
The devil hates marriage, for it is a picture of Christ and the church and it is God ordained. He will do whatever he can to destroy a marriage. I am currently struggling with lust. I have asked the Lord to help me with this but I am also struggling with other things as well like anger, hatred and anxiety. I can literally feel evilness inside me when these feelings come over me. I know that I need Christ in my life and the Holy Spirit to cast out any evil spirits that are causing all these struggles in me. I will keep seeking the Lord until he delivers me from all this.

I knew God was telling me to stop watching the movies, listening to the music promoting sexual promiscuity and come off social media that encouraged sensuality. 4 years later I feel free and when the devil attacks I run to God in prayer and think on scripture and marvel at his being. Everyday I long to please the Lord.
Whom the Son sets free is free indeed! Thank you Jesus!

Please pray for me… I struggle with this currently. I know it’s a sin, I get convincted of it everytime I look at it. My wife caught me 2 years ago and now I’m back to the old sin. I don’t want to loose her and if this keeps happening I will. I’m telling her tonight after church.
I’ll be praying for you. I know how hard it can be to break free from that struggle. For me, what really helped was realizing how connected the industry is to things like human trafficking and exploitation. It opened my eyes to the fact that there’s no way to know for sure if what you’re watching is hurting someone.
What happened?
There’s power in surrender, brother. Really and truly surrendering it all to our Saviour.

I am currently struggling with lust my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ via corn.. Sometimes I do good without a few days but then fall right back in. Please pray for me as I struggle with this terrible sin, that the Lord and our Heavenly Father will deliver me from this sin, I can feel the disappointment from Heaven itself.
Just remember that Jesus died for those sins already. Don't wallow in guilt, but move on into freedom. Make note of where you are tempted and stay away from those situations as much as possible and keep in the Word man. Also, have someone that can call you out that you can talk to. Not to commiserate, but to build you up and strengthen your spiritual defenses.
I’m right here with you. It’s creeping back in but I know that God won’t let it get out of control. I’m not strong enough to do it and that’s what I told My Father in heaven a few hours ago after falling down again tonight.

Lust is a hard thing for me. I struggle with seeing people in public and imagining such lustful thoughts about them. It's even worse when online. I just need to stop watching and listening to all things because I can't focus on God and what he wants for my life. Another helpful tool is to give yourself a mental "high five" every time you say no to temptation. It will reward your brain and train your brain that saying no is rewarding. Turning from the temptation and not allowing it to stick around will give you a much better chance to say no to the temptation

One of the things I have done to to have self control with my temptation. When I catch myself in temptation. I got straight to God's word and I pray. I got rid of all social media and even stopped listening to music in my car so that I can corner my mind to see Christ as my answer and nothing else. It is not easy but it is true.

It can be hard(er) for the married as well! SOmetimes your mate stops or does not want intimacy when you do, sometimes your drive increases and theirs does not, and also the temptation does not go away just because you are married. Placing your faith in God, keeping your own integrity, and the love of your spouse, also will help stop lusting in marriage.
The devil hates marriage, for it is a picture of Christ and the church and it is God ordained. He will do whatever he can to destroy a marriage. I can safely say marriage doesn't make anything easier in regard to avoiding lusts. "Walk in the Spirit, and you will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh." Gal 5:16

I am currently struggling with lust. I have asked the Lord to help me with this but I am also struggling with other things as well like anger, hatred and anxiety. I can literally feel evilness inside me when these feelings come over me. I know that I need Christ in my life and the Holy Spirit to cast out any evil spirits that are causing all these struggles in me.
I will keep seeking the Lord until he delivers me from all this.

I just wanted to say to you all, don't be scared to confess your sin to a very mature Christian. To your pastor, a deacon in the church. I can almost tell you with 100% confidence that your pastor has spoke and helped someone overcome this sin.
The Lord has gotten me through some very dark times, He has brought me though alcoholism, drug additives, low self esteem and worth. I still struggle with lust but have faith that He will bring me through this as well and I hope and pray that he is with all of you, my brothers and sisters in Christ, in whatever youse are going through great and small🥰☦️✊
