I’m one of the ones that has given up on praying for marriage. I’m 46 years old and have never been married and no kids. I’ve been praying for over 20 years and nothing. There’s a small part of me that REALLY wants to be married but my heart aches and have grown sick. Please pray that my faith increases in that area again.
I have me6 SO many Christians whose marry for the first time in their 50's, 60's and 70's. God has a plan, you don't understand but give Him your devotion & trust.
Unfortunately, a lot of people appear to think the FOCUS of faith required to move God's hand in favor of some desire of their heart has to do with the STRENGTH of their "faith," as they powerfully believe that whatever desired thing they've prayed for will become a reality. AS OPPOSED TO strongly believing that IF GOD wants whatever prayed for, desired thing to become a reality, that He fully has the power to make it a reality - AND thus, He WILL make it happen. The problem is, we don't just BELIEVE something strong or long enough into existence - as that's essentially having faith in the strength of our own desire as opposed to that of the will of God! Often, there are things we desire and pray for, that God does not see in our best interests - and so, He doesn't make it a reality. Remember, God can see the future and impact of all things - real or potential. Which means that He fully knows whenever we pray for or have a desire that isn't good for us.
I think yall missing what the “Word of Faith” preachers are saying. Some of them are saying that God has already done certain things already in scripture and if the Word says God already did it then you have faith and be bold. God is King… which means His Word is LAW!!! Which means you CAN enforce HIS LAWS on your behalf but of course His Writer of the Lawbook (HolySpirit) will help you. ATP if you need someone to tell you besides the Holy Spirit about that prayer request… yah need to spend some more time with Him or up your knowledge about His Word. Faith can be personalized. My faith ain’t your faith & what I have faith to pray and receive ain’t the same for the next. In my valley and wilderness season I learned that. I learned God responds to YOUR faith in His Word. His Word says a lot of things that’ll stretch your imagination but your perspective/religion can hinder it. I also learned to be specific in faith and not be so general because being specific will reveal what you truly believe and He’ll work with that because it’s of FAITH.I can say all this but just find out for yourself.
One thing my brother and sister in Christ who recently passed told me that changed my life was: good things don’t happen to you just because you’re nice. Don’t get mad that evil people succeed when you aren’t willing to put in the work to SHOW that you truly desire the thing you want. No, that doesn’t mean you’re “trying to force something”. Because if you work for what you desire and God still say no then that’s your answer. But if you work in obedience to how God tells you to work and take action, also don’t be surprised if God blessed you with what you desire sooner than you think. But you have to pray, have faith and take action. You can’t continually sit back and do nothing then expect a harvest.
Thank you Pastor Parr." I love, love, and love" how you break down the Bible where I understand it. With .. Much passion and enthusiasm....God bless you and your family...
Weird that the bible itself is so vague that it needs breaking down by people who give their own spin on it. That's how you get some many different denominations.
Thanks for bringing this to light brother Parr! My marriage is suffering because of this teaching. I know and trust that the Lord is in control no matter the outcome. Thank you for staying faithful to God’s word and for your encouraging videos. God bless!
The third characteristic just reminded me of when I pray for my daughter. I use to ask God “if you are willing please bless me with a little girl” and now she is 2 years old ❤️
Glad You are calling this stuff out. Hoping for more. These teachings hurt me and my family, as well as others. Just want to see everyone set free in the true gospel
Love THIS!! Allen you be coming with it! 😀 You not only broke it down biblically; but you gave modern day examples and I've always appreciated that about your ministry.
Thanks for the reminder Brother Parr. As I’m about to turn 51 yrs old next week, I never lost the faith, knowing that He may or may not have a husband for me in this life. However, dwelling on my singlehood made me sad, so I focused on contentment and stopped praying about it a long time ago. 😊🙏🏻🫶🏻
This lit a fire to keep on praying for the things I hope for whilst giving me instructions on how to accept the No that God can give. Thank you a million times.
I truly appreciate this video, such an encouraging word, thank you! But one thing i'll say, I think the title is a lil bit misleading imo, but still love the content. Keep it up!

I love pastor Bill I have learned so much from him… all the success of his ministry is because of God! And unlike other ministries, the power of God is demonstrated here.
I agree with you wholeheartedly. Listening to him gives me a moment to catch my breath, and just feel bathed in love of the Father and know I'm not being beaten up by those just make it so difficult.
100%!! Mark 11 is foundational when it comes to Faith. It’s interesting how people are now dismissing the supernatural. We serve a supernatural God that does supernatural things through the channel of faith. Solomon said “there is nothing new under the sun”. At my home church in Chicago, we experience the dead raised, blinded eyes opened, limbs grow and back then you had doubters. No one can change that!! I can’t unsee what I saw and experience. I wish everyone will share in this experience!! God can do anything!!,
Great message! Thank you very much! I have great faith. I have believed God for ridiculous things and they came to pass. It's impossible to please God without faith. When I first pastored a church, we did not have a building. I had no money in the bank, and a hand full of of members and I believed God for a vacant 20,000 sq ft building and WE GOT IT!!! The leasing agent gave it to us for a mere $1,500.00 per month in 1995. That was dirt cheap even for back then. We stayed in it for 6 years.
Deeply appreciative of the content. Asking if we can be mindful of use of other preachers photos if the content isnt relevant to the that teacher. I was deeply concerned when I saw pastor todds photo associated with the title. Again deeply appreciate the teaching content.
Thank you so much for bringing this teaching of the scriptures. I’m thankful you’re using this platform to follow God’s leading by bringing His truth and explaining it in a very understandable way which draws me to the Word to seek Him out. And I have to believe it is doing the same for so many others.
A M E N ! Thanks, Pastor Parr! I remember a particular prayer I prayed once. It was about a few weeks in that I received a message from the Lord in a dream letting me know that he was bringing change concerning that particular situation. About a few weeks afterwards I was standing near a wall at the place I had been praying about. I felt a hand press down on my left shoulder. At first I thought the place could be haunted or something, but then I realized it had to be the Lord! My answer was coming! Sure enough, very soon after this I received my answer. The Lord removed me from that situation which was never meant for me Btw. I had just taken it upon myself to accept the position that had placed me in this situation. Actually GOD didn't answer me the way I was expecting him to, but GOD did it a better way. Praise the Lord!!! 🙏
Pastor Parry thanks for your sermons, you explain everything so simple. I'm tired of these prosperity and materialistic preachers in South Africa who milking people money and claim to raise dead people.
I just love your content and truly feel you teach from the Bible. I love the transparency in your messages and I don’t feel “worried” that I’m being steered in the wrong direction when I am here!
And yes... I've given up on praying for a few things because although I haven't gotten a clear no; I've watched God answer plenty of my prayers but go SILENT on specific prayers that I've been praying for years. I really appreciate this teaching.
Doesn’t mean you should give up. Nowhere in the bible does it say to give up. Consider the parable in the bible about the woman and the judge, the context Jesus is talking about is prayer. Luke 18:1-8. Have a read and be encouraged xx
Then why did he give my dad covid and let him die, even after countless prayer? My neighbour prayed for his keys to be found and god provided. That's not the actions of a good god.
Brother Allen, your content of recent years appears to me, to be focused on other people. Man, just teach the truth, there are enough “witchcraft hunting” Christians on RUclips 💯
What I love so much about God is his word it’s so powerful The words of God’s will never lose its power. I just wanted to share that his word is always a right now word.
So, I understand what you're saying and agree with everything that you said but the one thing that kinda doesn't sit right with me is your last point about how just because Jesus granted the woman's wishes doesn't mean that He'll grant your wishes just because you follow the "template" of the way the woman approached Him about her daughter. If we look at other examples of when Jesus "granted' or in other words, healed those who were sick, He told mostly every one of them that their faith had healed them. So, of course, we need to start off with the other person you referred to in your video who Jesus said had great faith who was the Roman soldier regarding his servant Matthew 8:5-13. He, as a gentile, had great faith because he asked Jesus to heal his servant from afar and told Him that He didn't have to come over to his home to heal but said, "if You just say it, my servant will be healed" because he understood what it means to have authority. Even in this case, Jesus who was astonished by the soldier's faith, healed the servant from afar. Now, if we go to a different example, let's look at the woman who struggled with bleeding for 12 years in Luke 8:43-48, Jesus said that her faith had made her well and immediately, her bleeding was healed. If we look at this instance, it records that Jesus's healing power, even without His intent or knowledge, had gone out from Him to her. How does this fit into your last point about Jesus not always wanting to heal or grant someone's wish? The same thing happens with the paralyzed man whose friends lowered him down the roof of Jesus's home. Jesus said to get up, pick up your mat and go and before they all left, Jesus told the healed man that his friends' faith had made him well. And if we look at another example - somewhat different but the same in the point of Jesus "granting our wishes" - where Jesus and the disciples were going across the lake in Mark 4:35-41, the disciples were scared to death because of the storm they were in. They came to Him while He was sleeping and asked, "do You not care if we drown?" and even without asking, He woke up and rebuked the storm and the waters and the winds calmed down. And as a side note, it was only after He calmed the disciples' fear and anxiety when Jesus turned to them and said, "why are you scared, you of little faith?" So, even in this case, Jesus granted the disciples' wishes by calming the storm and relieving them of their fears before criticizing their faith or the lack thereof. Jesus was gracious enough, so good and merciful enough that even with the lack of faith, He still calms the storms in our lives because He cares for us and for our wellbeing. Now, i think we should also look couple other passages in the Bible. The first one is from Proverbs 18:21 where it says that death and life are in the power of the tongue. So, I believe that there is some truth in the Word of Faith movement because of this passage. (NOTE: I said SOME truth. Not that the Word of Faith movement teaches the full truth). And so whatever you say will become your reality. So, if you keep speaking death, depression, bondage or lifelessness in your day-to-day speech then your life will be filled with those negative things. And the opposite will be true. If you continue to speak life, goodness and hope then your life will be filled with life hope and goodness. Which is why what you say and think is very important. Which is where the 2nd verse I'd like to talk about comes in which is Matthew 17:20 where Jesus says, "if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'move from here to there' and it will move and nothing will be impossible for you." So, that is why there are Christians who say to declare things over your life and such. It's not because they think THEY'RE the ones who have the power to do anything or that they deserve those things but it's because they believe that there is power in the words you speak and that even with that small faith that they have in God, He is the One to move in their circumstances and lives because Jesus implicitly taught that to His disciples. The other part of the Gospels that I'd like to point to is when Lazarus was sick, his sisters came to Jesus and said, "Lord, the one who you love is sick" and although Jesus didn't come immediately, He came to the sisters and Lazarus and found that he was dead for 4 days. (Although i love the fact that as Jesus was talking to His disciples about Lazarus, He said that he fell asleep - not that he died.) Then Jesus wept seeing Mary and Martha because He cares. He cares about the pain we feel, the struggles we go through, the things that make us stress and break our hearts. Then He brings Lazarus back to life. Not because He had to or because Mary and Martha asked Him to or because they had "great faith". They just simply had a relationship with Jesus. And so there are multiple ways in which healings came to be and our wishes were granted. And i guess that might have been the point you wanted to make at the very end but to say that just because you follow a template doesn't mean that God will grant your wish in this way, i dont think was the best way to approach this whole issue. All that to say, that is why I don't think our God is a God who just ignores our wishes and desires and doesn't care about our prayers - and i'm not saying that you're saying that but your last point in your video made it seem like there will be times when God says "no" when we bring our petitions and our cares to Him for Him to fix. Now, I'm not saying that He will definitely answer our prayers when our prayers are for riches or for us to get into specific schools or get good-paying jobs or whatever because most likely, the intent behind those prayers is selfishness and greed. But if someone is struggling with something for example: their financial situation, health-related issues, and/or relationships and we bring these concerns and heartaches to Him, He will not only comfort us but He will heal and restore whatever it is that we're praying for. That is something that I truly believe in - that it is God's heart for us which is to be healed and be restored. That is why there are verses like Jeremiah 29:11, Ephesians 3:20 and John 10:10. There are verses that also speak to this line of theology as well. So, i'd like to hear your thoughts.
I've been praying for years for God to soften the hearts of my husband and children that they may come to salvation. Everday I pray for this and will continue all my life. I accept either way, but I have no other choice but to pray for my family. He has answered many prayers, and my hope is He will answer this as well.

Thank you Mr. Allen Parr for this wonderful teaching. You just had to use the example of marriage.....I was doing all great until you used that. My soul was hit with conviction since that is where I lack great faith. All other prayers (that align with our Heavenly Father's Will by empowerment of the Ruach Ha-Kodesh [Holy Spirit]) have been answered. There's a woman that has caught my attention...first time ever where it doesn't have to do with her flesh. Not even sure why I'm attracted to her. I've been rejecting the thought of her because I have this "faith"/"belief" that it will ruin my focus of "Seeking the Kingdom of Elohim first and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you." She's not a thing, but I meant the thing known as marriage. So many odds have come up, it's been since May we've noticed one another and gone back & forth through silence and actions. (We met at my gym). Had only 4 conversations; but her silence & actions says a lot more to me than what she could ever say.
thank you so much pastor. This is a great encouragement for me. You are a blessing to me. I may not always comment on yiur videos, but i always do watch a lot of your vids. the Lord bless you more
Great lesson. The way I personally see it is God gives what we deserve. What I have now is what's meant for me at this point in my life, same as for others. Doesn't matter if it's of equal value or not with what others have. I just pray that God, if it's Your will, so be it. If I didn't get what I wanted then perhaps He just saved me from a massive mistake. He knows best. 🙏
We don't deserve any good thing. Christ took what we deserved. We get the promises, the gifts..we are given gifts, blessings, whatever you refer to them as, but we can never, ever earn his love. His SON got what we deserved.
Exactly! Lots of faithful devoted Christians face persecution and severe struggles in their lives. We are living under the same sircumstances as all the people. The great differences are that we are living with Christ and trust in Him no matter what
I am so grateful for this video because it articulates what I try to convey when inquiring of relatives where did that thought process or way of speaking come from when attempting to stimulate their meta cognition to recognize that it isn’t scriptural and not the faith that Abraham had nor the eyewitnesses of Jesus’ resurrection.
It's not always negative people, it's negative SPIRITS coming to stop you and hold you back, the lying spirits - "God has finished with you!" - He hasn't. Keep going, keep trusting.
Beautiful. I thank God that i dont receive everything that I want. We must pray in the spirit and ask in the spirit. Then we will automatically pray in Gods will.

His giving your life. His helping you make it when so many died from covid. He said: If you lift me up, I will draw all man to me. God allowed leaders to govern this land. He gave us common sense to choose leaders of Love. He wants a leader that resemble his desire for his people to feed the poor and hungry, to love one another. He is not a God of hate and division.
Not everyone has the faith to move mountains but everyone can build their faith
I think maybe because faith without work is not faith
Can you name somebody who has the faith to move mountains? I'd love to see such a demonstration.
“ Let will be done” I finally got this after almost a decade of anger and question and being lost.
It's not even a correct sentence...
Thank you for reminding me that great faith doesn't look at the odds. I look at how I'm gonna get a job as an animator, and when I'm gonna get married, and this world tells me it's impossible. But thank you for reminding me that our God does impossible things.
Thanks for this, it’s giving me a new motivation to keep praying for my husband’s salvation! I know it is His will for all to come to Christ so it is most definitely in His will for my husband’s salvation ❤
I feel so called out. But this was the best slap in the face… 👋🏻Thank you for this truth. I accept it, and I want to build my faith.
This is good food. My son listens to your channel and it truly helps him in his faith walk. God bless Bro Allen.
The one about marriage is the one I am facing as well, prayers needed here.
Thanks.
Thank you for bringing folks back to the Bible.
Read Exodus 21 yet?

I’m one of the ones that has given up on praying for marriage. I’m 46 years old and have never been married and no kids. I’ve been praying for over 20 years and nothing. There’s a small part of me that REALLY wants to be married but my heart aches and have grown sick. Please pray that my faith increases in that area again.
I prayed for you sister ❤
Wow
The focus of faith is on God's promises in His Word.
I just wanna say thank you for the emails. It really helps Reach me when I'm Trying to avoid social media, but don't want to miss a Video!
I use to ask God “if you are willing please bless me with a little girl” and now she is 2 years old ❤️
Pastor you're speaking to me! The odds may not be in your favour but God...Amen!
Amen!
Odds?
This remids me of what someone said about prayer
God will wither say yes, no, or wait. What a caring loving God we have
I do continue to pray, but I feel God will know when it's time for me to receive his blessing.
It’s so good to see people like you with large platforms exposing Word of Faith teachings.
I love how you break down stories of the Bible and are able to help us apply it. We need more of that in this day and age! God bless brother
Glad You are calling this stuff out. Hoping for more. These teachings hurt me and my family, as well as others. Just want to see everyone set free in the true gospel
Love THIS!! Allen you be coming with it! 😀
You not only broke it down biblically; but you gave modern day examples and I've always appreciated that about your ministry.
My husband and I love you, Allen! Grateful for your commitment to teaching biblical truth.
I love how you broke these verses down. Needed to hear this!
Brother Allen you are exercising your Spiritual Gifts.... I was blessed by this teaching.
This is so encouraging, thank you. This is the great faith I want Jesus to know me for ❤
#4 sums up faith for me. Awesome video!
Trust the process. Aka trust in God alone no matter what!
This is exactly what I needed today. Thank you Brother Allen!🙏🏽💜
Most in here Africa (particularly) we have the problem
I never thought I would live, to see a time when someone addresses what truly 'faith' is correctly, my brother Allen, you're truly a light!!
Faith is gullibility. Nothing else.
This lit a fire to keep on praying for the things I hope for whilst giving me instructions on how to accept the No that God can give. Thank you a million times.
I needed to hear this- especially to faith when you see others getting blessed with what you have been praying for.
It is the Lords will that you pop up just when I need to hear you. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing 🙏🏿
His grace and mercy be upon you and your loved ones 🕊️🥛🍯
I truly appreciate this video, such an encouraging word, thank you! But one thing i'll say, I think the title is a lil bit misleading imo, but still love the content. Keep it up!
It's greatly misleading.
We shouldn't have to market like world does using click bait titles. God will make sure the message reaches those who need to hear it. I am new here and deeply appreciate the teachings. Don't want to feel deceived or manipulated. Praying God continues to use his teachers to spread the true Gospel and provides insight into titles and thumbnails that reaches his people
I’m thankful to God for what He has already done. A lot of people act like they died on the cross for Christ like He owe us. Then we have a nerve to get upset when prayers are not answered in our so called timing. Hasn’t He done enough on the cross 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾💕💕💕. Thank you Yahweh. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾💕💕 God bless you Allen 🙏🏾💕
I did not know the meaning of Matthew 15:27 till now. That woman certainly had great faith. May we all have great faith and perseverance as we journey with God who loves us.
Allen, thank you for this video. God has been giving me prophetic words about, a house, a wife, and things to happen to me within the next year and there were a lot of confirming things in this video to encourage me to keep pleading with The Lord; this was so encouraging!
Pastor Allen... Such a needed teaching... ✝️
5:42-5:48 😂 “you need to name it and claim it, you need to blab it and grab it”
😂😂🤣😂
Much needed word here brother. Excellent. Thank you.
This was a good reminder and very encouraging. May God Bless you Pastor Parr.
May God's will be done in my life always, thank you brother Allen.
Love the editing of your video Allen. And the messages of course too :)
Going directly to God's word, in partnership with the Holy Spirit to help interpret, is the best way to hear and understand God's purpose and will for His children. And having deep intimacy and love for our Father. I've been doing this for the past 4 months and my life has changed - so full of grace and blessings more than ever💕
Wow! This is the best teaching from these verses that I have heard. I needed to hear this today. Thank you
This was a SERMON! Conviction and encouragement….thank you!
Amen 🙏 this is definitely what I need to improve on. Thank you for sharing Allen. God bless you.
Deeply appreciative of the content. Asking if we can be mindful of use of other preachers photos if the content isnt relevant to the that teacher. I was deeply concerned when I saw pastor todds photo associated with the title. Again deeply appreciate the teaching content.
Thanks for this video, and thanks for the Ebook! Looking forward to reading it!
This hit home for me... Thank you 🙏🏾🙏🏾
The new graphics is really really cool Mr. Allen love this!
“It's not the despair, Laura. I can take the despair. It's the hope I can't stand. ~ Brian Stimpson, Clockwise
”
Great message, Brother. May God bless you and your family this week and always.
I just love your content and truly feel you teach from the Bible. I love the transparency in your messages and I don’t feel “worried” that I’m being steered in the wrong direction when I am here!
Thank you for this lesson🙏🏾
I needed the hear this to jog my memory…thank you
This is so good! That's my prayer always. Thy will be done in my life.
Immensely blessed. Keep preaching, you have a wonderful gift of preaching and teaching biblical truths❤
How do you know that you didn't give up right before a breakthrough...
Just the message I needed to hear. Points 2 and 6 especially jumped out to me. Thanks Allen!
Allen Parr the LORD bless you, keep you and your family brother!
God is good, Hallelujah Amen.
I’m always in Prayer daily and close with “Let your will be done God not mine” just like Jesus said when facing death
Great word my brother! Praise God 🙏🏿
Lord Jesus, thank You for leading me to this video. I certainly needed to hear this today 🙏🏾🙏🏾
This was great Allen. Do more faith teachings especially faith when waiting on a promise.
🔥🔥🔥 shared this before getting to the end ❤️
Thank you brother Allen, this message was definitely needed!
Thank you so much for this. Its one of my favorite interractions recorded between Jesus and someone else.
I've been praying for years for God to soften the hearts of my husband and children that they may come to salvation. Everday I pray for this and will continue all my life. I accept either way, but I have no other choice but to pray for my family. He has answered many prayers, and my hope is He will answer this as well.
This video has blessed me
Thank you Jesus ✝️
Thank you brother Allen 🙏
Listen Dr. Rev. Parr,...... I'm gonna need to borrow this entire video to preach!!! I love everything about you. Don't know if you'll see this but..... Praise God for you!!!! I'll just borrow this and then give it back 😂😊😊😊😊
Thank you Mr.
I may not always comment on yiur videos, but i always do watch a lot of your vids. the Lord bless you more
This was really good Bro. Allen. Really solid teaching. Thank you!🙏🏾 this blessed me.
Great Biblical teaching! We need more of this!
Thank you for your balanced teaching and encouragement.
Exactly! Lots of faithful devoted Christians face persecution and severe struggles in their lives. We are living under the same sircumstances as all the people. The great differences are that we are living with Christ and trust in Him no matter what
Downloaded the e book can’t wait to get into it and read. Going to share with family as well😊
I am so grateful for this video because it articulates what I try to convey when inquiring of relatives where did that thought process or way of speaking come from when attempting to stimulate their meta cognition to recognize that it isn’t scriptural and not the faith that Abraham had nor the eyewitnesses of Jesus’ resurrection.
It's not always negative people, it's negative SPIRITS coming to stop you and hold you back, the lying spirits - "God has finished with you!" - He hasn't. Keep going, keep trusting.
Thank you for sharing this i have had the wrong understanding of what faith is.
Great video sir. God is not a vending machine.
Amen❤️
Beautiful. I thank God that i dont receive everything that I want. We must pray in the spirit and ask in the spirit. Then we will automatically pray in Gods will.
This is a great teaching. Thank so much! However, I need to point out that even if our requests tarry or not granted, it still is a positive response from God.
