I learned things I didn't know about Illustrator - like making the dotted circle, by setting the "dashed line" size to "0."

Very helpful even in AI 2018. Not that much has changed... I'm only just getting back into this, so this video is very helpful. Despite it being fast, it's pretty easy to follow along point by point. There's a lot of information for a ten minute video.

Spoon Graphics actually figured it out, but by accident. I'd like to be able to replicate it so I fully understand the concept. The logo I created looks fantastic, but I like to be able to repeat what I learned on my own.

how did you do the second text? when i try to copy and paste, it does not paste.
Do you use a Wndows PC?
If you do, then select the text and click ctrl+c on your keyboard, then ctrl+v to paste :)
In the video he was reffering to shortucts on the MacBook not Windows PCs.

great tutorial. Such a fast and easy way to create circular logos. But I'm trouble adding patterns and shapes into the logo. If you could maybe post a video of how to add shapes into a logo that would be awesome an prime example would be "Columbus Crew SC" badge.

I was following along great until we had to copy the "Power House Gym" text on the path. I could not figure out how to paste so that I could see my text being typed over the other text. I would highlight and control Copy but when I pasted it would go above in a straight line. Curious, what am I missing? Great video. For those who complain about the speed I just slowed the speed down and it helped a ton.
A little fast on a few parts but after watching it a few times I was able to keep up. Overall good video.

how did you make it looked like it aged? I didn't get the las part where you said "then click on the artwork thumbnail to exit out of mask mode" and what technique did you use to give the effect of aged and wheathered! please!
Use SHIFT + ALT for make the circle bigger or smaller.

How can I switch ON rectangle scaling option on elipse tool? I have only elipse when selected with selection tool
stuck on 5:10 where you copy paste the text on a path circle . which shortcut key you used to paste on path circle. Because when i try to paste it, it doesn`t paste on path circle rather as simple text on my background.

Had trouble aligning the stars so that they evenly apart from the circle border... i click the centre align but then stars just perfectly overlapped eachother in the circle...

Great vid but having an issue with the direct selection tool when making the tag line. It rotates but doesn't flip the text right side up. Please help.
+Da St when you type in the word, in the middle of the senctence there is a line. If you hover over it it should show this little arrow going up beneath your mouse icon. From there you can drag it over your circle and it will flip corretcly as shown :) hope this helped :D
