Thanks for the tutorial! Question: what's the best way to "flatten" the text once the transform effect by adding copies is made? I added 300 to make it thicker and tried to expand, then "unite" in pathfinder options but it takes forever to render.

You must find another type of font that has that command, typing ">" automatically transforms it into that curved line. For example, the font "Painter" served me

This is a really cool tutorial. Tried doing it exactly as in the video and my logo came out almost exactly as this one. However, the entire logo came up on one layer, unlike the multiple layers like on your tutorial. how do i fix that so that there are multiple layers?
Add each new shape on new layer. He didn't teach that.

How did you get smooth copies from the distort and transform? I kept getting jagged layers
Did you ever figure this out? Instead of offsetting the Horizontal and Vertical at .1, bring it allllll the way town to like .025 and lots more copies. It'll still have jagged edges when you zoom WAY in, but you'd have to be printing at a giant size for it to be noticed on a print.

I am making audio spectrum time 3:30 min and the render time take
7 hours can you tell how to fast render
1. Get a faster computer with more CPU processing speed.
2. Get a better video card.
3. Hide/close whatever comps you don't see in AE.
4. Close other background applications
5. Don't touch the computer while it's rendering.
I noticed that after the transformation to add the background shading is staggered, when i zoom in the the transform effect makes it look like its jus a bunch of copies being placed next to each other, anyone else get this too?

after complete the design?
Open the project up and in the layer palette select the text layer that you want to edit. Make sure that the the circle of the layer is highlighted to know that its selected. Choose the text tool and click within the text to add a cursor to the text you wish to edit. Make your edits as needed. Done. :D
