Hi, how do you center a text with that effect to the page? When you select the final design, the text box does not contain the applied effects, is not centered on the design, how can I find the centre of the design?
Good question! I just eye-balled it for the thumbnail. You could maybe draw a rectangle around it and group it with the text. Then align to center of the artboard and delete the rectangle
For some reason, I'm getting severe jaggies on some of the edges. I could fix it if artwork was expanded but that defeats the purpose. It seems like I saw a fix for this when using the appearance panel but can't remember. Thanks Philip!
If you open the Appearance panel and click on the word Stroke, it will bring up another panel with Cap, Corner, Align Stroke. Change the Corner settings to Round Join and it should smooth out.
If all else fails you can use the pencil tool to smooth out the edges. Double click pencil tool icon to turn up smoothness to maximum.@@doncherimoe8102
This was a great video, Thank you! How do you create the retro lines that look like they are bending on the background (like you show in your thumbnail)?
won't applying this transparent texture image on top of the text make the text not smooth because the image ain't vector? Ain't it is the main advantage of illustrator that we get smooth results with vector graphics? Won't we lose this advantage by using raster on top of vector???????

Great tutorial! Thank you so much!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
When I add a new stoke, it shares the same transform as the previous stoke. How do I change that?

Just wondering how did you create the background lines from the thumbnail? Thanks
great video helped greatly thanks
Thank you so much for this! I want to add an offset to the design. How do I go about doing this? I want to make a sticker effect.
Try grouping everything and then adding a stroke in the appearance panel then dragging it to the bottom. That might work
Could you do a video on how to do what you suggested? it did not work for me.

Amazing
Is there a way to outline this shape and turn into vector graphic for printing? I’m struggling to do this for some reason!
highlight all of it and go to object -> expand
Thank you!! You explained so well.
You're very welcome!
I love this video. Love it
When i use the transform effect it doesn't look like your result, it doesn't make smooth copies like yours
How did you make these lines?
WOW !! nice video
How to put stroke each color?
Great
I like it very much
when i try to transform in the effects panel, it transforms the whole word, not only the stroke
Link to Illustrator project file?
Hi, what is the name of the font?

@@sunuppools6447 yes…corner settings were set to round and still had the jagged edges.
