An interesting thing to note with regard to your "air ball" - the RX doesn't really have much more space, less than 10 cubic feet difference in cargo space.
Lots of comments comparing to the GV70 (Gv70 being a better veh). In Canada the electric gv70 STARTS at $84,000. NX hybrid all-in premium sits at around $63k. Just saying, huge price difference there.
The GV70 has a non-electric to be compared to the NX lol, the GV70 fulled loaded is almost exactly the same price as a fully loaded NX 350. It is also somewhat more powerful. However, the GV70 is still part of the new Hyundai line and their dealership rollout has been abysmal, the genesis cars aren't as reliable as the NX, and honestly the interior definitely sacrifices on feature quality in favor of an overly gaudy interior and overly niche features that will break early and age poorly. Imo the GV70 is only worth it compared to rival if you are wanting to pretend you're way richer than you are because someone that knows nothing about cars make think your ass is driving a bentley with that interior. Otherwise if you don't care about keeping the car a long via leasing or whatever, Mercedes wins by far but driving a mercedes out of warranty is just asking to be financially ruined so... yeah. Lexus imo has managed to make an interior with tech that I think will actually age well, significantly more reliability, more consistent build quality, better dealership distribution and parts availability, more options in general, etc. GV70 is that car that looks good on paper until you actually start parsing out the real ownership of it. In 5 years anyone getting in that car is going to cringe at the interior if the car even makes it to 5 years.

Don’t like where Lexus is going with the electric door nonsense, Lexus is known for being conservative on tech and they put electric doors? Even bmw and Mercedes don’t do that, just give us traditional doors
@@naveenthemachine let’s be honest, I’d rather have a big touchscreen then that mediocre and glitchy trackpad display that the Acura utilizes, plus Lexus new interface doesn’t bother me at all, it’s the fact that they put electric doors like on a corvette, not ideal when in a bad wreck and knowing that most people who drive these luxury crossovers are older people, bending over to open that latch will be a challenge for them
have you tried the new door handles? i tried them and could barely tell a difference to normal door handles on the outside. and the inside is even simpler to use
I don't know what Lexus IS thinking is a gas guzzler and you have to use super unleaded fuel plus it has run flat tires they cost an arm and a leg when you go over 60 MPH you think you got your window open cuz it sounds really loud on top of that it's real small and I'm comfortable to be in you better off getting a RAV4

How come it’s rational to compare an nx to a rav4 but not nx vs Camry? First off even the Camry is closely related to the nx. Same platform too. Not to mention nobody’s directly cross shopping an nx vs rav4
I’d buy the closely related Camry XSE v6 with the same luxury features, more legroom, much better performance and handling/ride than the nx, and to top it off, a silky smooth 3.5L v6. All that for 10-15K less
@@RealKevGotEm you think. But trust me that 3.5L v6 in the Camry is as smooth and almost as quiet as the average Lexus while costing less. Not to mention the Camry in the top end trims has a nice interior, I’d even say it’s nicer inside than the Lexus nx. And the same luxury features like pano roof hud 360 cam, cooled seats, 8 way power passenger seat, ambient lighting, full led interior and exterior lighting. So you’re not really sacrificing luxury when you think about it. Plus you don’t have to get a Lexus to get the customer service Just take your Toyota to a Lexus dealer and service it there. Will it cost more? sure. But even so it’ll be significantly cheaper to do this than buy a Lexus for 50-60k
The CX5 front seats are uncomfortable for tall drivers. I recently test drove the NX and it was far more comfortable and had more of a luxury feel imo.
I’d say my 2023 350 f sport is “ok”. Bought on impulse which was a mistake. Dealer add on’s jacked the price even more. I’d probably get a GV70 2.5 with a do-over

I was quite disappointed with the NX. After 10 minutes of trying to open the door, shift to drive and then to park, I found the test drive to be harsh and relatively noisy. I was getting Toyota vibes, not Lexus, especially with all the gloss black and fingerprint-loving screen. There is such a huge gap between the NX and the RX. In Canada, it was also nearly $10K more than the top line Genesis GV70 2.5T and did not have as many features. So I went with the GV70. A lot of work to do with ride and noise isolation here.

It made all the other cars feel like a tin can. None of them rode as good, were as quiet, or had as much room. I was sold on a GLE until we drove the Lexus. Gets better.. WIRELESS carplay (none of the others have this), enough headroom for me 6'5" and guess what.. it's the lowest price! Want even more? It has the best MPG, the longest warranty and the best resale value of any other manufacturer. Lexus is the #1 most reliable manufacturer according to JD power.. its a luxury car with an unkillable Toyota motor. No German engineering bs to pay for. You could replace the entire powertrain of the NX for what you will spend on out of warranty repairs on a BMW, Audi or Mercedes. Services are half the cost of other brands. You get all (if not more) the same features, a better ride, better safety, better mpg, better reliability, cheaper service.. and the best of all.. a cheaper base price! Can't dispute that. You must own stock in Hyundai or something because there is no comparison.
Average SUV except the giant front grill. It looks like a cow catcher. I guess the designers in Japan think otherwise. Don't care for the run flat tires that ride hard and are expensive to replace. Gimmicky electronic door handles. Unimpressive ride quality most likely due to the NX is using the same four year old platform as the RAV 4. Check out Genesis, Acura, and Volvo for more impressive models for the same amount of money.

The only exception is the LC500 And I even sat in a gv70 prestige. The interior absolutely blows away the LX and just about every other Lexus except of course the LC500.

In what universe is a dressed up rav4 better than an x3 gv70 or RDX? 😂 The nx falls apart in just about every way possible. It honestly ties with the Cadillac xt4 and Infiniti qx50/55 for the worst luxury cuvs you can buy in the class

@@naveenthemachine I would be stupid if I said that BMW is a bad car. Because it drives great, has very nice materials inside and many other advantages. However, precisely because BMW cars are unfortunately more unreliable, more expensive to service, the x3 is not worth the price. I have a good friend who worked at BMW, if I don't have a bag of cash, I don't strictly lease a car to the company, don't take a BMW because they break down all the time. The second thing, I liked the Lexus better than the x3 on the test drive, in general, in my opinion, it is better fitted, has better materials inside and is a bit more comfortable and most importantly, as it is a Lexus, much more reliable. Everyone buys what they want, it's an individual thing, but unfortunately BMWs don't have a good opinion about their reliability.

You really can’t tell the difference in person, they also have an emergency release. I think they should come heated tho if they don’t
It allows them to have the safety feature that prevents someone from opening the car door if they don’t see a car approaching.

That front grill is horrendous. One of the worst I've seen in this segment. Those brake lights are comically small too.
