    I vote for a project with the olive wood but a trinket box from the rosewood would be nice.

    Based on your last video, I got the exotic and domestic offcut boxes as well as the labeled sample pack. Just got mine today, and very happy with everything! Lots of thinned down pieces I can use with minimal prep for small boxes with liners as well as a few bigger ones. :) Thanks for the videos, never would have ordered otherwise.

    The olive wood will be an awesome live edge accent table. Maybe laminate some color matching wood for a sweet set of legs. Just my thoughts

    Wow, what a great selection of wood! It is tough to pick one to use as there are so many beautiful pieces. I absolutely love the Olive, Rosewood, and Aromatic Cedar. Heck, just flip a coin for what wood to use 😄. I can't wait to see what you make with it!

    Hey Skyler, I really enjoy these videos because in my line of work, I'm working with mahogany, walnut and oak and sometimes cherry. So your unboxing vids of lumber are really cool to watch. Thanks! :)

    The ones that you weren't sure about look like sapele or mahogany to me. You should be able to compare them to the sample pack pieces that you got a couple of weeks ago to be sure. Overall, it looks like you got a good box with usable pieces.- Chris

    I would have expected shipping costs on wood to be prohibitive. I'm going to have to look in to buying stuff online.

    Hi Ms Skyler, that ebony or rosewood would make some fine looking guitarnecks,(maple is used on lighter brighter color necks as well). My vote is for a good guitar graphic inset on a small pickbox using that laser. I like the wood order but would be stuck if getting the thicker boards. I don't think my little benchtop bandsaw is up too it being honest. I am looking at a Ricon saw for my limited use. I remember many a projects and ribbons in Jr high with the school bandsaw projects mainly using walnut. I will take a look at that website as always wonderful info. They propbaly send you the good stuff, maybe I use your name and my address to not get the 1/4 sawn skid wood using my name! When you do your fall shop maintance please do a video introducing your tools and how you like them and what you would change as your experieance has with the hands on use of them! Typical shop flow if any?Thanks!

      The great thing about ocooch, is you can order 1/8 in planks or 1/4 in. Thats what made me order from them. Needed something for inlay work. Will do a shop toor soon but have to wait till after october 19 because at the momment I have a tool in shop that has not been released yet and cant show it:)

    Don't cut so deep with that box cutter! The boards on top got scored quite visibly from it.

    You received some good wood in that order. BTW did you get the 40W laser yet. I'm waiting to see that one.

    • @woodworkingwithSkyler
      @woodworkingwithSkyler  10 месяцев назад

      I decided not to review the longer 40W and do the creality 40w instead because I like it better. Still waiting for them to ship it to me but they are in holiday now. I have a different laser that can’t mention yet because it’s not been released yet but I think you will like it a lot
