These are great! We just got Lightkey a couple of months ago and we are barely scratching the surface of what it can do. I really appreciate you making these videos because we aren't lighting technicians and are just making it through. We've done some cool stuff but I can't wait to get there tomorrow and start implementing these techniques. Keep up the good work!
Hello Jeremy thanks for this video, was wondering if you could help me little more with setting up my set up. Still new to this and can't seem to get it right
Hey Jeremy, Do you offer any sort of one-on-one workshops for this? I'm using Lightkey to program a light show for my bands album release concert. We have a waaaaaay less complicated setup than what's in your tutorials, but I feel like if I could sit down with you for an hour (I'd pay you for your time) and just ask direct questions about what I want to be able to accomplish that would be a massive rocket forward toward proficiency. Let me know what you think, and in the meantime thanks for these tutorials!
You will need to create a custom profile for your light. In the manual for your light there is a table that tells you what each channel on the light is and what it does. You can use this information to build your profile on lightkey. There should be some resources from lightkey that tell you how to do this. I had intended on doing a video on creating profiles but I haven’t gotten to it yet 😬
I created a custom generic dimmer profile that was a single channel that stays at 255. This way, as soon as light key turns on, it powers up our electric rails in the theater and they stay on until I shut it off. I did this to get around the fact that light key has no “park” feature like a traditional console would. If you start with the generic dimmer profile and just edit the range it should work!
Dude, this video deserves 1,000X more views. Unbelievable! I can't wait to go try the fanning & shortcuts!

Matthew Morgan I’m really glad these are helping! I love explaining this stuff. If there is anything you need feel free to ask questions!

This is awesome. Would love to chat with someone about this. I have light key at our church but having trouble configuring robots.
Are you talking about moving lights? I may be able to help you out. What are you having trouble with?
@@Quiksilver6565 yeah. The moving intimidator lights by chauvet
@@Quiksilver6565 I have the robots added, but they are not moving in the direction I see in light key. Not sure if the robots need to be reset.
Hi Bro!, what if I cant find exact brand and model of lights in the setting up part (fixing channels)

any chance you can do a vid re the visualiser set up?
I’ve been considering this. When I get some time I’ll put one together!
How were you able to permanently set the LED Power to 255? I'm looking to do this myself.

@@Quiksilver6565 I'll have to give that a try. I wish there was a park feature. Thanks so much!
Fanning and keyboard shortcuts on light key. Video would probably rank better with this title
