Hello! Question for you: Lightkey is not showing up for me as a MIDI port on Ableton. What am I doing wrong? I followed along with the video and it's just not there! Thank you.
Thanks a million for your excellent video's! I'm an Ableton guy and still using DMXIS. The thing that holds me back using Lightkey is the fact that I don't see a way to repatch DMX channels after I program a show. I'm a technician for shows that travel to different theaters. I use a combination of my own fixtures and I use the house lights. So when I get to the venue, I have to repatch some of my DMX adresses. Do you know if that's possible?
Thanks!
You’d have to reach out to DMX-is support
@@fromstudiotostage , DMXIS does have the patch function, but I want to switch to Lightkey :)
Found it 😊
sorry.. meant contacting lightkey.. I'm not an LD and haven't gone that deep with it.. so I can't help much there. @@OELMEIJER
Thank Will. Had a similar question to this. For A touring band not traveling with our own lights, We give specifications of the lighting setup we want on the venue. The question is, How do I connect the computer to the lights to have the same results from venue to venue? What do I need to purchase that will connect to the venue-provided Lighting?
I don't have much money, what is the minimum laptop specs to run Lightkey and Ableton on same computer?
I run it on my base model M1 MacBook Air with zero issues.
@@gabriel_levithat’s an m1 tho 🥲
