There are several bands that try to exert the sound of the first three Black Sabbath albums but Cathedral really captured the rawness and essence of the very grandfather of all metal. Cathedral started a new line in the early nineties for other bands to follow; Orange Goblin and Electric Wizard are in the likeness of those really good British Doom metal dudes...
these guys rule. I think its cool lee can sing the way he does in napalm death and then do something like this. he's so versatile. also this song kinda sounds like albatross by COC.
NO. That's a fact. Lee Dorrian is a giant in the history of metal and a pioneer of modern doom. As vocalist, musician, songwriter, promoter, discografic and talent scout.
This is exactly how Black Sabbath should have played on their "13" album released this year. I mean THIS is the TRUE early 1970s Sabbathian atmosphere and sound. I mean imagine this song playing with Ozzy Osbourne on vocals, his CLASSIC style of singing. Oh, so fucking great ! But this song is just kick(fucking)ass, man !
Couldn't agree more ! At the end of the 80ies and up to the present day Cathedral took over from Black Sabbath and came up with better riffs . Must 've been frustrating for riff master Tony Iommi. Luckily enough he could count on frontmen like Ozzy or Dio to keep Black Sabbath on a high level. Lee Dorrian does a great job, but just imagine Ozzy in this band ?!! Black Sabbath's last album "13" was a bit of a disappointment both songwise and soundwise and it didn't take us back to the early days as promised.
The fucking Doom metal in all his extension I will always like more the whole album "forest of equilibrium" and don't forget Black Sabbath's "Into the Void" the fucking "Iron Man" the fucking "Electric Funeral" damn this are good songs!
Im not racist but I totally agree. If I say im proud of my white heritage then im brandished a racist. I respect all creeds and all kinds but im proud of my ancestry and want it to be preserved.
makes me wanna take needle and the rubber band .... like slow poison cripping to your very soul I've had terrible time trying to find the lyrics though ,if someone can give me a link would be awesome Stone on from Bulgaria \\_//
@4602max This sounds NOTHING like Carry on Wayward Son. The closest thing this reminds me of is Hendrix. Definately some inspiration there (but that ain't no bad thing).
