Those back boards are heavy, I respect this woman and give her mad props. True woman strength. 💪

As her husband helps her carry it...
M'lady...
Corian is waterproof and comes in 60" wide eliminating the one seam in the middle of the back wall. There are other plastic or man made walls that are waterproof. I have a shower and bath walls 60" wide made of acrylic that were installed in 1986 and still in good shape.
Worth it to use Wedi board or something behind it. And I would have used A LOT more adhesive on those panels. Like a lot more.
Used panel like that fir my bathroom. Easy to clean. Love them.
Looks awesome! I give it 5 years
Why do you say that?
@skyhighactiondrones5453 Not enough waterproofing prep imo. I do a sealer and flash corners as part of my prep, but that's just me.
@@teliramirez3914exactly. The bathroom was done correctly before she touched it. Unfortunately.
Whenever those new building products come to market, only time will tell how long they will last. Typically, the lifetime warranties aren't worth the paper they are printed on.
@jimmski9908 ...they've been making similar products since the 80s
As a renovator , I say you've done a pretty good job
Renovator?😂
@alanwatts5537 yes whatever u want to call buddy
you installed all the durock with the back facing out except 1 piece but it will work for the panels you put up
Excellent work. Im impressed that you took this on and with little help.
Nice job! Well done.
Girls rock I love this great job 🎉❤😊
And boys dont?
This is not a DIY video. It's an ad for the product.
Nice job! I like that material for the walls. It looks like marble and seems easy to manipulate. What product did you use for the pan? 👍
so pretty good job 👍🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
Looks nice I promise youtube done saved me thousands 😊 all you have to do is out in the work
I would have used much much more glue. But it looks nice.
One would think for the money, the manufacturers could come up with caulkless attachment systems.
Good point.
Its a nice job but i had that and i just got leaking everywhere over time, had to rip out and reinstall with tiles 😢
Where did it leak? What caulk did you use
Should of used tiles to begin with this way doesn't seem like it'll last long especially with just caulking the sheets on the cement board

Wetwall seems to only be available in 4 panel kits through big retailers ($1129.00) or through contractors.
Me: Changing a car engine in the garage.
Wife: Can you remodel my bathroom.
Me: Hell No.
Wife: 😡.
I feel attacked
How did you do the side piece that sticks out? Is there a piece they sell for that?
I don’t mean this in a weird way, but I love you girl. It’s rare to see a woman actually doing something amazing like this keep it up and I wish you the best in your future.
No disrespect but you never use cement board without waterproofing it... Because those panels will leak in the future.... This is no different than what these local bath fitters and bathroom in a day, people use.. has a contractor, I rip out so many of these systems it's not even funny.... And I generally find so much rot and mold behind those panels that it wind ups costing the customer so much more money to repair.... I'm not busting on the work you did, just try to offer a little bit of advice... Always use a waterproof membrane on any backer board... It's just one simple step that can potentially save you thousands of dollars in the future...
Facts. I’m literally remodeling my Mom’s bathrooms because the appraiser said their was mold in the walls through a single freaking crack in the grout. My mom’s lived here for about 27 years. It was a brand new shower too. I was told if they water proofed the walls then I would’ve just had to replace the tile with panels to make it easier for her to clean. This turned into a nightmare!
Thank you for confirming what I thought about those shower I stalls in a day. They don't last long because they don't do a moisture barrier
False
@@RUclipshandle. Dear Handle: You said "false". How do we know which part of this discussion you consider false?
How does water get behind these? Just wondering - no argument.
I’m not trying to be disrespectful but that shower is not waterproof.
Can i ask why?
1,200 for 3 peices 48x96
Good looking out
Thats cheap?
Thats very cheap VS. solid surface granite or having a pro do tile for you. Im having solid surface granite installed in mine and will be about 5K. A tile guy that knows what hes doing was going to charge quite a bit more. That was after several quotes from tile installers.
@@peytonoates2271 $15 to $20k for a new shower is insane. It's not even that hard. Only making sure it's waterproofed is "hard".
Hope you don’t mind me asking but how much roughly did it cost?
I want to know that too
Roughly about 1200 bucks for those four panels
Where did u buy them from
Smart woman
I don’t like joining two walls with a seam would drive me nuts…
That hole you cut for the shower valve is to small how do you get cover plate screws in?
Doesn't seem like you used much adhesive
How did you seal wall to floor ? Same silicon ?
I’d be more impressed if this was not a promotion for a company. Hard to find an honest review on here
What do you do for the floor pan?
How the heck are your circular saw cuts so straight? Was this really just that easy?
Did you need to pull any permits to do this bathroom remodel? I want to renovate mine too
1970s? That's crazy cause it doesn't look that bad.
where did you get wet wall in north america??
What is the specific name of wetwall you used?
Where did you buy the wet wall? Thanks
My cement board has 1/4 gap on lower portion what product to use skim coating level?
Where can I order those panels and how much
Can someone please explain, what is the construction/material type of wetwall panels?
PVC
@@HishamX thanks
Cant wait to tear it out in 5 years and redo the floor/studs that rotted out. 😂 This is what i do for a living, and trust me this is not something you should be posting.
it's not gonna rot. in old houses they did the same stuff and it never rotted for 20 yrs
@@AndrewCantonTV if you say so. It's not like I do this for a living or anything. Oddly enough mostly in old houses. Best part is I also have to replace the subfloor because they couldn't see the rot and it rots out the joist too.
Durock in 2023?
@@drmarsh4287 It's cause of durock the cement board right? You need a waterproof backer board for the capillary action of steam seeping into the durock which will in turn soak the frame and subboard.
@@AndrewCantonTVit’s a new product but yours is 20 years old?
Tool belt is cute but usually it has tools in it haha
Love the shower pan colors. Is that tile?
no
Can you do my bathroom?
Never had to have my wife help #girlboss
WTF are you going so fast for ?
Bathroom Karen did a good job.

70’s bathroom looked fine, what a waste of money!!! 😂😂😂
Husband is behind this
How much does these panels cost I'm just wondering??
300$ per panel 4x8
$900 + tax…I just bought them at Home Depot. Only one hime Depot has it on display but you can order online. The shower base is $350 + tax fyi. These have the look of marble n high grade material. They are beautiful
@@Antzzz_Manzzz @UCycHzLH45ugJCBCedh47aLA Holy moly so she used 4 penals so that's 1200 + tax only for the penals!! OMG.
so if someone is making this job for work how much he is going to ask for everything!! I'm wondering!!
@@liononline84 the wall panels are 4 pieces at $900 total plus tax. The base is $360. Labor depends on your contractor charges. Many complications can arise and so you have to modify accordingly. Looks simple but very tedious n contractor can charge labor up to $4-7k in my estimation
@@liononline84 it’s critical the wall are flat so that the panel fits perfectly attached to the wall. Lots of little specificity have to account for and so need to modify if you’re redoing your bathroom shower yourself.
