    Nice C-4 at the end. Artie Shaw would be proud of you! Sensational clarinet artistry. Right up there with Martin Frost and many others. WOW!

    Good grief, the tone this man has in the upper register is unbelievable. He has truly mastered the clarinet!

    Tone, intonation, articulation, interpretation...all near perfect. This is the best I have ever heard this piece played. Bravo!!

    What an amazing last note. Really?!!! Wow! Absolutely loving that highest register, OMG'oodness the crispness of those high notes. Every clarinetist's desire - to get that kind of responsiveness from all the notes above high C. Also, amazing speed.

    Milan! Milan! I can never thank you (and your fellow musicians, and not to forget Rossini) for the heart warming sounds that you gift the world. I have heard many clarinetists and I find you to tie and top any of the greatest ones. Your music brings tears to my eyes and I love you for bringing the love to my heart that only great music can.My heartfelt "Thank You" to you. I toast that you may live forever.

    I listened to this twice today and continue to be amazed. And maybe the RZ Bohema clarinet helps you to get such a clear, beautiful sound, but I'd have to guess that years and years of practice and exceptional talent have also got something to do with it!

    • @garyshorts3201
      @garyshorts3201 6 лет назад

      Kuz308 How could you tell from just watching the video what type of horn he's playing 😒 hmm

    • @jackcannon9154
      @jackcannon9154 6 лет назад +2

      I will respond to your question to Kuz308.
      Kuz308 is correct. Milan is playing an RZ Bohema model RZ-CL6401 manufactured by RZ Woodwinds in the Czech Republic. The mouthpiece is a Licostini Mouthpiece.
      How do I know this? I happen to know Milan and frequently communicate with him.
      Milan designed this clarinet and he has assured me that this is the clarinet he always uses.
      Kuz308 is also correct regarding the clear, beautiful tone. No other clarinet produces such a clear, beautiful tone. Another commenter referred to the tone as the 'nightingale of the orchestra'. But it is also true that Milan's skill is just as important - if not, more important.

    I love the sound of this piece with the orchestra. Although I haven't studied this piece, compared to other interpretations, I think you had a very good execution. I guess the high to low note leaps & jumps can impact the tone & embouchure a little, but you still did a great job! Very, very well played!

    Si può scherzare a ridere con un clarinetto?Ed ecco la prova del grande Gioacchino che sa farlo alla maniera sua,cioè da grande creatore di giochi di suoni,da sbalordire. E' possibile che ci siano tutti quei guizzi di chicchirichì nello strumento a fiato?Altro che e ridete pure seriamente.

    And notice how you can appreciate the music more when the soloist isn't distracting you by bobbing, weaving, gyrating, and dancing all over the place. I can't stand when performers upstage the music like that. "Oooooh! Look at ME!"
    NO!... I came to HEAR you!
    Thank you, Milan, for being so respectful to the audience, orchestra, and composer.

    I do respect the individualism of the interpretation but bad pitch is just bad pitch no matter how you listen to it. Does that clarinet company use and equal temperament tuner when designing the clarinet?

    • @junelee6494
      @junelee6494 6 лет назад +3

      ? Can you specify where he played a bad pitch? Also the brand that he uses is a relatively new brand that is getting known for lower prices but impressive quality. I know quite a lot of people that use it and they sound amazing.

  • @QuyloonReeseQTMS
    @QuyloonReeseQTMS 4 года назад +1

    When one is playing the piece too fast, this is what happens (4:19). The fastest is not always the best all the time! I heard Mr. Fiterstein's version, and it was absolutely amazing. I like the selection with the clarinet and piano better as well. Though, the piano can worsen the dynamics when it comes to accompanying the clarinet. This piece truly tests the musicality of the clarinet and accompanying instrumentalist(s). The performer here has emotions while playing but does not have the best technique.
