    How's Shawn doing??

  • @tzenophile
    @tzenophile 5 лет назад

    It might be a trick of the light, but the smaller one to the right appears to have an asymmetrical line between the head and the body, receding on the left side, so I am puzzled as to why Shawn uses it as an example of the perfect U-shape that koi should have.

    • @ThePondDigger
      @ThePondDigger  5 лет назад

      Interesting observation. Could be a visual anomaly from the camera angle. Shawn is very sensitive about making sure the koi look good on camera

    • @tzenophile
      @tzenophile 5 лет назад

      @@ThePondDigger Exactly, which is why it is strange. I assume the camera was pretty close (5-6' ?), although the lines of the container and measuring sticks do look straight. And if you look at 1:12 you can see what appears to be a clear difference between the two koi. But it could also be the change in color from red to orange-red rather than the "U"-line itself. However, when you draw lines between the eyeballs and between the two [mustache taps] (insert Japanese word here) the lines would indicate that the head is slanted towards the right of the fish. But I agree that could be a fisheye effect, if you pardon the pun.

    Love the video! But the name of the video don’t match the video.
    Keep up the good work!

    Eric I’m NOT trying to tell you what to do bro but you should change your title to these videos to (Explaining Color Patterns on Large Japanese Koi). 😁👍🏼 The video has nothing to do with HOW to grow large Koi. Lol.
