definitely A. love the patern on the head, think the black will pop up later. these are better sized for 2year old. hence I asked previously on sizes. cant wait for mine to grow. the black is intense on the fish.
Please do a video on water. I often hear "our water" or water type" affecting development of color, etc. I would very much like to understand what water qualities are important or affect particular qualities/traits.
As the koi are now I think the pick would be C. For the future, lets say 3 years I predict Koi A will have more balanced pattern. The hi spot on the head of Koi C is likely to be covered by sumi completely or almost completely. This only leaves a very little red left on the head. In my amateur opinion its better to have no color then only small dots. Koi A has black coming up in the large white spot of his body. If this develops the pattern sum and hi will be more balanced then it is now. As shawn stated before the semi on the head is likely to connect which makes it an interesting pattern. Greeting from the other side of the pond (The Netherlands, keep up the good work)
Shawn handles those fish like a pro, I have two smallish GinRin showas called Costly and not so costly ( don't ask :D ) and I have had them since August/September and they are already feeding out of my fingers, but not as good as Charlie ( My baby Chagoi,my favourite ) Nice video Eric, thoroughly enjoy your Chanel! :) x
B is definitely one grade better because of the superior pure white background, which is very important but often overlooked by hobbyists for appreciation of Showa. Its body shape is also very good for a male koi. In addition of the interesting color patterns ..... this is show grade koi.
Fish A for me, love that it has orange and black on its head, that stands out to me... By the way, I'm loving the Koi videos! keep them coming :) ... On a side note, can i ask a question? My koi pond currently has green water, do you have any tips on getting it back to clear? I'm from the UK so its just starting to be Spring over here if that helps. Thanks.
+mdawsss18 Thank you for participating. You can bet we will be bringing you more. Do you have an UV on your koi pond to help you manage green water? Maybe it is time for a new bulb.
how true does he ever have fancy tail or butterfly koi .I know that I love mine they are so graceful swimming in the pond .But aggie and Bert always win my heart hands down .
+Musabe009 He does have several time lapse examples. We are trying to figure out how to film them as an example. My producer and I do not really like to use photos as part of our film editing process. We will see if we can come up with something creative. Thanks for the question
Right away Gin Rin Showa "C" looks to me to have something special. I would pick "C" for his good shape and potential large body size. And I really like his pattern! :)
+scentopink It was a bit difficult for me on this one but I did choose A. I really liked B because I feel there was more balance of all three colors on the face which is important to me but the bull dog body shape made me choose A instead. Thank you so much for asking! I'm digging this!!!
Just got a Showa butterfly koi, absolutely beautiful.
Fantastic! I love me some Showa!
The fish is really beautiful, the colours are also beautiful.
+M. Julian Thank you for watching!

Does he do a time lapse photo journal to check on his own interpretations of where he feels the color will transfer?
