    Great video,just bought this lawnmower,but id be easier to clean underneath with blade off I thought

    • @SHONEY21Z
      @SHONEY21Z  2 месяца назад +1

      Yeah it helps to clean with the blade off, I usually just pressure wash the bottom with the mower on it side anyway, but for demonstration purposes, or for ppl without a pressure washer, I showed using a screwdriver, (brush works too) to get the bulk grass clumps out to protect the deck from rotting

    What do you use to clean the outside housing and make it shine again?

    • @SHONEY21Z
      @SHONEY21Z  21 день назад

      Are you talking about the painted deck or the plastic engine cover?

    • @SHONEY21Z
      @SHONEY21Z  21 день назад

      I usually pressure wash the deck, top and bottom, careful not to get too close to peel the paint or stickers. Then I use a cleaner/polish like Honda spray cleaner and polish. If the plastics have lost their shine, I’ll use a torch on low setting and heat up the plastic lightly to bring back the original color. Sometimes this doesn’t work, just depends on the type of plastic.

    Did you change sparkey

    • @SHONEY21Z
      @SHONEY21Z  2 месяца назад +1

      Negative. Sometimes I do if the plug looks old or if it looks very black. 99% of the time, spark plugs are fine. Every once in a while they are the issue. I’ve had spark plugs that were 50 years old still work, so the likelihood of a 5-10 year old plug being an issue is rare. I usually clean it tip with a torch and wire brush.
