Quick tip… before you go to change the oil let the mower run about 5 to 10 minutes to warm up the oil.

Just got the same mower yesterday. Thanks for the tips. Gives me more piece of mind

As a protip from someone who spilled a lot of oil the first time I did an oil change on this model, you can use an old milk jug sliced in half longwise to guide the oil away from the frame. Saves a ton of effort with clean up. There's an official part for it but most of the reviews say it spills. And why would you pay $20 for a piece of plastic when a milk jug will do a better job for free?

when changing the oil, you can take a bottle of your favorite soda, cut the top so it fits underr and around where the oil runs out, cut the bottle of the bottle so it flows out into what ever container you want it to go in...and go forth young man and make no mess

A secret B&S engine tip, use an oz or two of Lucas oil stabilizer in fresh oil. Runs smoother

For the motor visibility You can remove the hood cover, pull it up and you can plug it back in when done

my T100 came with a little trough to put under the oil drain to guide the oil past the frame....comes in handy

Always check owners manual before any maintenance procedures. Also it helps to invest in a spark plug wire pulling tool to remove the wire to the plug, saves knuckles and cuts from happening 😊
