Good take, thanks for the info. I’m going to fix up my dads old one and try to sell it for profit.

I have just bought a 2011 LTS 1500, never been used to mow. Washed out the fuel tank, changes all filters and plug, greased 4 points, set platform which was initially attached and attached unlevelled, work beautifully, has a 38" cut and usually use gear 2 or 3 in longer grass and go slow, this is not a speed machine. the 17.5hp engine, B&S, is reasonably good, I wash it out thoroughly each time, its still like brand new.

Bought mine in 2020 from Lowes. The only problem I've faced is self induced. I hit a chunk of concrete in tall grass. So today, I'm replacing both spindles. Like others have mentioned, take it easy on this mower.

I just bought mine brand new at a lowes outlet for $550, had a little dent on the hood from transport so they marked it down 75%. Hope yours is still kicking!

$2139 at Lowes now a days....yikes. Also for the oil, I think there should have been a plastic part that channels the oil when you drain it

if the tractor is a bumpy ride, it's because your yard is bumpy. Start adding sand every year until it smooth's out. Also, this is not a mower you can beet the shit out of. It's an economy machine, which means you're going to have to take better care of it more often. Unless you got money to just throw around

Hey just wondering if you or anyone had some pretty serious deck vibration with it. Mine is new and shakes like a jackhammer. I've checked all of the obvious stuff. Nothing's out of whack. The only thing two things that seem abnormal to me is the amount of freeplay the deck has, and the engagement pulley shakes back and forth while it's running the belt.

Own one. Purchased new. Has been a piece of crap after two weeks. Nothing is worth a crap but the Briggs and Stratton engine.

It should have come with a little black "trough" that fits under that oil drain plug to guide the oil over the frame.....I have a T100 with the same engine and mine came with it.

You can get off with engine going as long as you put it in neutral and apply the parking brake. A good mower. Was push mowing 1.6 acre lot before I FINALLY got one

$1,800...damn lol. I paid around $1,100 with military discount free truck delivery plus another discount because it was missing the owners manual and stuff. Overall it's great! For context I have 3/4 acre. Used to have a Husqvarna 54" deck 26hp V-twin Kohler, used that for a year then sold it for $200 more than I paid due to "inflation" lol. Was push mowing the 3/4 acre for a couple years but it sucked especially when I stepped into a yellow jacket hive twice. This Craftsman T110 is the perfect middle ground and I've mowed 12" grass when I waiting like a month and a half between mows! It's great!

How do you start it brand new I can’t get mine started

    • @dontchawannaknow1017
      @dontchawannaknow1017  2 года назад +4

Could be a few things -
      1. You need to be sitting on the seat because of the kill switch.
      2. The lever by your left foot needs to be pushed in all the way.
      3. Your choke needs to be all the way up, above the rabbit symbol to start and then brought back down.
      4. Won't start if your deck is down.
      5. Make sure you have gas in it.
Beyond that proper spark plug gap, in line fuel filter clogged, check the oil level (really shouldn't be an issue new but you never know). Check out your warranty information to see what's covered. Hope that helps a bit

I don't know who needs to hear this, but I have replaced my battery twice. Then one day I backed it out of my shed, went and did something, came back, dead battery. (previous times it signaled "fail" on my overly-informational charger). So I started to go get my charger but was pissed cuz brand new battery. So I disconnected headlights, which are "always on"? Wtf? To my suprise, turned key and it started. Maybe I had bad batteries, maybe Lowes set up the mower wrong, but why have useless headlights drain your battery? Who mows in the dark? Reply if you've had similar issues with the craftsman.

absolute junk. everything by mtd nowadays is junk. The stamped decks fall apart, the spindles suck, the engines have cam issues, the transmissions grenade inside, the deck belts always pop off, the belt guards snap due to vibration. The frames snap/twist. Avoid these at all costs let alone anything made by mtd
