These exceeded my expectations.They hit very hard and it’s the best bang for your buck subwoofer package out there.
I have the 10 inch version of this, same power rating. But they bundle this one with a 1600w peak amp, the amp I have is 1900w peak.
Way louder and a hell of a lot cheaper.

I just purchased 2 of these today and I have my own 5/8” box. Idk if that’s enough or not but overall how are the subs? I have a 1000W pioneer amp that I will soon upgrade but I’m hoping it will pound these. I had MTXs that sounded good, I “upgraded” to these shitty pioneer subs in which I blew, so I’m back to the MTXs until these arrive. Honest feedback; are they really good? I’ve seen nothing but good comments but idk the ups and downs of these subwoofers yet

@@RealJerb omg the best purchase i ever made. Literally the bass is overwhelming tbh XD it only 1 time popped my trunk open without me even pushing the trunk button. Id definitely recommend purchasing these subs if youre a basshead like me. I ended up just purchasing a new box from skar too. I wish i wouldve just bought the entire box with both subs and amp for i think $500, because since i bought the subs, amp and box seperate, I ended spending around 550

Since you've had MTX's, would you say they are any more/less accrete or tight? Based on your trunk story, seems like "raw bass force" isn't an issue hahaha.
I love bass but I love it a lot more when its got some control.
@@RealJerb Ive had experience with pioneer, MTX and kicker subs, and these absolutely trump these. These subs hits the lows and mids extremely hard, depending on what you set the low pass at. Id recommend these for anyone. They are so much better than kickers, MTXs and Pioneers, due to those subs being a little more cheaply made. Even those these subs are a little cheaper, they are very similar to sundown audio. If you want, DM me @ thecamdimarco on instagram and i can show you some of the vids of my setup

@@davidmoralesjr Running the Skar RP 1200.1..The subs are 600 watts each RMS so 1200 watts wired to 1ohm..The amp is perfect for these subs..The SDR series can't handle anymore than 600 watts rms from my experience but for the price and in Skars Dual 12inch enclosure tuned to 32 htz is perfect..They aren't Orion HCCA 12's by no means but they also arent being slammed with 3000 watts👍. For the money they do their job and pretty damn good💯

@@mclovin9283 I got the Skar SDR Dual 12s. It came as a kit from amazon for $499.99 ($534 after everything) and it comes with the subs in the box, the 1200 watt amp, and all the wires needed. When it was installed, the amp was about 1/4th turned up and the left sub was clipping so they kept turning it down until it stopped. The bass on my stock stereo is all the way down, treble all the way up. And still, later that day i had to turn the amp down more to stop the clipping. It’s all the way down now. The amp is powerful lol They said after about 20 driving hours i could turn the amp up some but not touch the bass on the stereo still. I have stock alternator and just the 1 battery. I was looking into the Skar EVL series but was told i’d need to upgrade those to run em so i went with SDR, and my lights still flicker a little when the bass hits so it’s a good idea to get those. But for still being in the break in period, they hit waaaaay harder than i expected. it’s my first system and the first day from riding around town, i had this uncomfortable pressure in my chest from all the bass, even while laying down hours later 😂

Yo I love skar audio stuff. Their amps and subs are really such great damn value. It proves that you don't need to spend thousands to get great audio. Sure it might not sound aaaassss clean as a sundown sub but honestly not many people would really care enough. Skar subs sound great and again best value

These just came in 4 days ago already got them in, day three. And they are not bad at all. I haven’t even touched the amp settings yet, very easy to install. Worth the money

You will blow the speakers they don’t come set correctly.
They have to be tuned I done it with a SMD.

@@johnadams2936gain is about half way up, bass eq all the way up. forgot the rest. if you do get them brake them in for about a week then slowly start increasing your gain. you could also do a clip test on youtube to test how much your subs can handle.
Just bought these with the SKAR RP 1200 watt amp and damn..... For the money it simply can't be touched by ANYONE in the car audio business!! My wife is pissed and no longer wants to ride with me🤣🤣🤣🤣I have the same ride as shown in this vid..Decided to keep my stock radio and get a kicker LoC that puts 8.5 volts of clean signal to the amp..Get a good strong clean signal out the gate people..Luckily that Cherokee comes with a 160 amp stock alternator along with a big three upgrade I did and it holds voltage well.. don't know about the longevity of this set up but damn for the money this thing bangs..Set your gains right..its not a volume knob and give it a good signal and you won't be let down!!Screw the haters for Skar for real!!!💯👊💥

not goin lie...just the box build designs hits hard with almost any subs i look in their box and felt around in there and they have a feature reminds me of bose systems design how the bass has no distortion at 32 htz with subs fits this will put pressure in your car
I bought kicker comp c 12s a month ago. Just wasn't enough. Didn't really know what I was doing. Have till Sunday to return, ordered these n they arive Thursday. Just made it. I have a 1600 watt amp. I'm ready for real bass. Can't wait. One more day and a wake up.

How’s it holding up
Ive been a fan of Skar audio. Purchased just over $5000 dollars worth of equipment from them the past 2 years. I have a real problem with there warranty policy. I purchased among other things 4 SKV2 4500.1 amplifiers. Installed them in a Honda pilot. Upon powering them up one smelled funny and became very hot even when it was turned off. Right out of the box. I called them and sent it back in its original box. And this is was they sent me for Warranty. This is an amp someone burned up and sent in for repairs. its all beat up. and they tried covering scratches with a sharpey marker. The amp feet are all bent up because they put the amp in a cheap thin cardboard box with only newspaper on the bottom. These amps are 900 plus each and going in a show car and this is not an even replacement for mine it was new out of the box. What do you guys think? I expected a whole lot better customer service.

I just set the enclosure on the back seat of the cab there's plenty of room It hits real hard more than you need but I love loud clean music it rocks.

I have a ddx 12 dual 4 its out for a lil while. Now im running two p3’s in a fosgate 37 hz box sounds good but it appears the sdr’s hit harder imho. Sound quality id give maybe to the fosgates but low hit the skars, spl!

Daniel West The skar VX35-ST tweeters is the best tweeters I have ever used the worst tweeters I have ever used is the ignite PT-01 tweeters the ignite PT-01 tweeters is extremely power efficient and 2 TIMES plus 1 percent LOUDER then the skar VX35-ST tweeters but the ignite PT-01 tweeters sound is very bad and dull the skar VX35-ST tweeters sound is sharp and snappy

Yeah it should. I bout a skar subwoofer and have been using it for about two months and it's only getting better
Skar isn’t know for having good deep bass just like most cheaper subs and the ones that hit deep don’t hit high. If you want subs with good range you’re gonna have to spend some money. Imo Skar is definitely the best brand for the price though

It would work but probably not sound as good as a box made for the evls
No it will not work. They require diff amounts of air space. Read the subs specs to see how much cu ft they need. Airspace for speakers is very important, even a little off can make a big difference.
If I install this in my truck do I have to upgrade the alternator and battery? I'm going to anyways but I'm curious to get a price.

I just bought two 12inch skar in a vented qbomb box. The paper work says skar audio M/12 S/NV.. I was in to big of a hurry to replace the two 12 powerbass subs I got.i didn't see which skars I got.and there closed tomorrow. It's driving me nuts..I google what on paper work and skars come up.just not those numbers. I tried taking out off box can't pull out.im thinking previous owner sealed them in.i don't want to mess anything up.sorry such long explanation. Any pointers would be great

My gain is half, bass settings in HU are -5, and with the bass knob all the way it'll make you go deaf.

Yes this set up is running a 1200 watt amp. I have some Sundowb subs that’s run at the same RMS as these and I’m running a 1200 watt amp as well

I was very happy with my Memphis PRX amp up until the warranty was over. Melted the fuse 1 month out of warranty. I paid $500 for a 1500watt rms amp I would expect it to last year's and years.Thank God it didn't start a fire. Opened it up they didn't solder a bridge to the power connector right. Soldered it my self and it's been thumping away again and I'm happy with it but wow $500 for a 1500 watt amp and it goes bad a Month out of warranty. I could've got a 3000watt amp for the price. If I didn't know what I was doing it would've went in the trash and I would've had to buy another amp
