I hear tones of your Dad in your voice. Wonderful job on a beautiful song. His legacy of talent will live on in your family. That is something you all can be very proud of and I hope you all can find comfort in that. I can not imagine losing a loved one in the manner that you are losing your father.
Shannon......oh Shannon. I just found this. Thank you so much for performing this. It's so beautiful and I can't help it but.....I'm crying like a baby. God bless you and your family. I have loved your dad forever and I always will.
Oh, Shannon, your dad's voice comes through in your performance. I'm crying like a baby, this song is such a heartbreaker. Praying for you and all the family. I've loved your dad's music all my life. God bless you all. ♥
Debbie Krueger I have to agree. This song should only be sung by Glenn himself or those that have suffered through this with him. Tim did a fine job. But it would have been more heartfelt to hear Shannon sing it!
+Debbie Krueger for absolute sure, it would have had MUCH more impact if Glen's own son had sang it. And Shannon did such a wonderful job of it. I get the feeling the family might have gotten bullied into feeling like they should ask someone else to sing it. It's so sad that they're already going through so much with Glen being sick then having to put up with such harsh criticism from people that have no idea what they're going through. Glen would have loved for his son to perform it and they should not let people bully them anymore. Just let them say what they will. They're damned if they do and damned if they don't.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my granny to Alzheimer's almost 9 years ago. The first time my mom and I heard this song, we started bawling after the first line. It perfectly describes Alzheimer's.
A seriously beautiful tribute, your father would be so proud, saw my grandfather go through Alzheimer, i soooooooooo understand! I remember my Uncle who was such a big fan of Glen.....and now you make me think of him, and the life circle goes round and around, amazing song, vocals, instrumentals Mr Campbell.... you inherited a beautiful gift!
I like to think I'm not an emotional man, but when I saw the documentary on Glen Campbell I cried a lot. I can now say I am a fan of him, his music, his life and especially his incredibly brave family. What an honor you have done for his legacy and hopefully for bringing attention to Alzheimer's. I wish continued success in your music career and hope a cure will be found for Alzheimer's. God Bless and keep the faith.
Shannon I hear your Dad's voice in yours! I've heard this song before but now that my boyfriend is further into Alzheimer's I hear what you're Dad is trying to say. Sad, yes but thank you for singing for your Dad.
Awesome Song, and Awesome family.! Shannon, wished I could sing like you. I admired your Dad, and his Testimony, when he said he prayed a lot to overcome alcohol.
I grew up listening to Glen Campbell, I have a pain in my heart just thinking of what he may be going through, he's a classy man, with amazing talent. Thank you Mr. Campbell for the beautiful music you gave us. God Bless you always.
Very nice very appropriate my heart is sad im so glad ur Dad was part of my family's evenings we always watched his Goodtime Hour...he made it wonderful....he is very very special to so many lives across the country... Thank you Shannon that was just superb...I hear him in you.
@Marcialee M ... the thumbs down are even sadder than the song 😥 ... how anyone's heart cannot be touched by the emotion & intensity of those lyrics is beyond me 🤔 ... they must have ice water in their veins & no heart at all ...
Shannon, wow the genes came through, you sound much like your Dad, I don't know what your doing with your life but you do have a voice like his. There's so many people who your Father never knew like me, who loved his voice & his music. I was there from the beginning and I'll be there until the end, I will miss him, for now, I'm sure one day in the next life he'll be doing his thing and I'll be there looking for him. God bless you and your family..........
+Ron Gillespie A person can have all the talent genes in creation. They still have to practice, and work at it. That's true in sports music or anything else.
Beautiful! "Never defines who I am"........Amazing what happens when we face dis-ease head on.....Don't give it power....just keep living until you can't anymore.
Shannon, please record more of his music.. wow - you are a superstar and have a calling to continue his music and your own as well. Please re-make his hits for us so we can love you like we did your dad.
It's really hard when you lose your Dad. They say as time goes by "Time heals all wounds." I have found this quite perplexing as I miss my Dad each and every day. As time goes by I realize he was always right and how privileged I was to have him. Your Dad Shannon was an American Treasure and will be missed.
Thank you so much for this song. I too hear your Dad in your voice, as many have said. I used to listen to your Dad's music all day. I could listen to you all day as well! Hope I get a chance to! All the best to you and your family. Thanks to your Father for hours and hours of beautiful music.
Just Beautiful, your fathers version made me cry, and your version made me cry. Love to you and your family and to my favorite guitar and singer Glen Campbell.

Your dad will be missed. The first song I ever heard from him was Wichita Lineman. Thank you for sharing this cover! I know your dad is watching over you each and every day!
Great tribute to an amazing talent. I've followed Glen since his studio days back in the early sixties. I can't imagine what it must be like to not be able to play your music. He and his family as well as all of those who have Alzheimer need our prayers.
Hi Shannon! You sound just like your father. What a beautiful tribute to him. Just so you know, I have been a fan of his since I was 3 yrs old. My family has dealt with Alzheimer's with both my maternal grandparents, my mom's brother and now my mom's younger brother's wife. I pray for you, your siblings and your mom every day. Looking forward to hearing more of your music. God bless!
Shannon should have sung this at the Oscars! This was his "Live like you were dying" moment ; which Tim had for his dad Tug McGraw! Shannon has a tone in his voice that is like his fathers! Very clear and clean! Excellent rendition Shannon!
What a WONDERFUL TRIBUTE to YOUR FATHER, Shannon!! I can hear Glen's Voice in your own...Thank You for sharing such a tender song...Too many Suffering with this cruel disease...Hugs and Love to your family.......and WE WILL MISS HIM!
So beautifu! This is so much better than Tim's version sung at the Oscars (not that Tim's wasn't great) but this version just knocks it out of the park! Shannon sings it with such love and emotion and you can hear Glen in his voice and yet uniquely Shannon! Well done, you should be proud, I know your Dad is Shannon, Bless You and your family, always!

Shannon doesn't sound like Glen. He doesn't need to. He has his own beautiful voice and his father's talents. Great job!
I loved Glen Campbell and his songs. You did a very good tribute to him. God bless your Dad and your family.
Shannon......oh Shannon. I just found this. Thank you so much for performing this. It's so beautiful and I can't help it but.....I'm crying like a baby. God bless you and your family. I have loved your dad forever and I always will.

What a wonderful way to carry on Glen's legacy through his children!
Would have rather Shannon had sang it at the Oscars. Made me cry...
Mr. McGraw was wonderful, but it just seems deeper hearing his son.
Debbie Krueger I have to agree. This song should only be sung by Glenn himself or those that have suffered through this with him. Tim did a fine job. But it would have been more heartfelt to hear Shannon sing it!
+Heath Wright The family asked that Tim do it, it was their choice, I loved how Tim did it :)
+Debbie Krueger for absolute sure, it would have had MUCH more impact if Glen's own son had sang it. And Shannon did such a wonderful job of it. Glen would have loved for his son to perform it and they should not let people bully them anymore. Just let them say what they will. They're damned if they do and damned if they don't.
I don't think they were bullied at all...Kim was excited that Tim was doing it.
Shannon your dad would be very proud of you...you look just like him ..god bless you and your family
Just listening to the song breaks me down. If I were a singer, I would choke up everytime I sang the song :(.
My Husband has the same awful disease! 😢😢😢 Thank you for sharing your Dads beautiful song! I miss him and his music! ❤❤❤

Marcialee M -Ditto!
Totally agree!
@Marcialee M ... the thumbs down are even sadder than the song 😥 ... how anyone's heart cannot be touched by the emotion & intensity of those lyrics is beyond me 🤔 ... they must have ice water in their veins & no heart at all ...
There will always be awful people with withered souls. Frankly, I'm just relieved the apparent percentage of disgusting trolls here is only about 2%.
I think some people are confused as to what they mean. Likely the thumbs down mean that it’s sad for them. Anyway that’s what I choose to think.
I can definitely hear Glen in Shannon's voice! Thanks for keeping your dad's memory alive!
