Duuuude! I recently got hired by a wireless headphone company called soundcore to make all their new digital content, their product looks just like these and my contacts name is Jona, plus I just started learning to use octane, crazy all the similarities! Just wanted to share that 😄...great video, feel like it was made just for me!

Hi. How i do Shadow Linking in Octane? I try do include a object to Light only for to get the shadows and exclude of the rest as far as and direct and indirect
Hey J, thanks for the fantastic tutorial! ❤But is it possible to reverse this process? I have a scene with lots of objects and several lights. I'd like one of these lights to affect only one object. Is there a quick way to do this, or do I have to select each object individually and mask that specific light? 😵
Hello Jonas. I was just playing with light linking in Octane the other day, this is great. Question not related to Blender : How did you make the size of your mouse cursor bigger at 6:24 ? Thank you
Does the octane version for blender need to export the mesh first before rendering or is it a custom build. I noticed its pretty fast when you hit render and the viewport render shows immediatly. I guess this is a custom build version
i wonder how to use the light id on transparent glass material and then keep background trasparent...in nut shell i want to know how to render glass on transparet background with blender octane... could you make this comment into short tutorial
Hmm… I really like Cycles. But for me there is two things to consider. First I Personally get to the desired result faster with Octane, I just like it’s way of handling Color and light better + it has more features. Second, it is more industry standard than cycles, and I don’t want to switch from blender, so Octane allows me to get more prof work so to speak. The speed is about the same for me. Though the viewport of Cycles is faster I think. But when rendering not much difference. Hope it answers your question. In reality it is about the work you do and present. But of course software can help 🕺
Yep I get the same question all the time it's not really about what Render engine your using it more about how you use it and how it fits in your own workflow I use octane for VFX because the render passes are easier to setup then cycles and it fits into a vfx pipe line better then cycles (more industry-standard) but I still use cycles often job to job
Glad to see more Octane users 🙏🏾
YES! I enjoy your tutorials a lot :D

Hey! Nice! Octane is really awesome 🙌
Please make that as a tutorial one day. I think it's important for like a cgi product rendering or simply doing masking
Great as always. 👏🏻 have to try it soon. Wish You best Jonas. :)
Thank you so much! 🙌❤️
Nice thanks for this tutorial, pls do more on octane animation and particles
Hey! - you are welcome :D

Hey! I will do my best to provide you with more knowledge on Octane :D I work on RUclips whenever I'm not working on Client projects.
Hello Jonas. I was just playing with light linking in Octane the other day, this is great. Question not related to Blender : How did you make the size of your mouse cursor bigger at 6:24 ? Thank you
He’s on mac and when you move the mouse around quickly on mac it gets bigger to allow you to find it if you lose it
@@robbieashcroft I didn't know that. Thank you very much for the response my friend !
May I ask? What device do you use? MacBook pro M1? Or M2?
I use the Pro maxed out with the M1 chip - but also work on other computers sometimes. :D but for these videos the Mac is more than enough

This is just the standard version of Octane :D it is pretty fast when rendering

Hey - I will try to keep that in mind :D thank you
Is Octane really worth it in comparison with Cycles? And how fast is it in your experience with an rtx card compared to Cycles?

Jo, do You plan open discord for patrons in the future? to exchange experiences between people. Best.
Hey - have not yet thought about this that much - do you think it would be a good idea? like an exclusive Discord for the patreons?
