You are absolutely 100,000% right about cellular! Just a few days ago i tested the difference by removing the sim from my iPad mini 5 just to see how it’d pan out. I hated it, to say the least. The video streaming on mini via the hotspot from my phone was sluggish at times, it eats up the the hotspot data from the phone quickly and sucked the battery energy much faster (iPhone 12 pro max). That iPad mini fits into the pockets of my jeans and, i love it. All of my iPads have been cellular, from the first-original iPad all through the years up to these iPad Pro and this mini 5. So I definitely will be getting cellular mini 6! Thanks for the confirmation!!!!
I have the iPad Mini 6 cellular too and I much prefer to use WiFi on it. The device refuses to connect to 5G most of the time, which is quite frustrating even if I am in an area with a strong 5G coverage. Weird thing is, my friend who is on the same carrier provider as mine and lives few blocks away has no 5G connectivity issues. Hegets 5G all the time on his phone. So my advice is just get WiFi version.
As someone who travels somewhat frequently, having a cellular iPad is super handy. 4G/5G iPads come with GPS like you mentioned, but the newer iPads also come with an eSim. I don't even need to pop out my normal SIM and put in a local one, I can just buy the data I need right from my iPad and I'm ready to go. I've used eSim on several trips to Japan and Hong Kong, it worked perfectly. Also, if you have a shared data plan, you can add your cellular iPad for a small fee and it uses the same pool of data that your phone uses. I like using my iPad as a hotspot for my laptop and I don't have to worry about the battery life as much as if I was using my hotspot from my iPhone.
I was team WiFi+Cellular but I realized that I don’t take my iPad anywhere without WiFi. Even if I do take it, my first instinct isn’t to grab my iPad to do anything. Until Apple makes that clear separation between iOS and iPad iOS I don’t think that’s going to change. No hate to people who go with cellular, it just has to fit your lifestyle otherwise you’ll waste money like I did
@Phillip My mom's telling me to go with WiFi+Cellular for the exact same reasons as video. Problem is I hardly ever use my phone’s cellular when outside unless I or a family member, need to look something up and prefer WiFi whenever possible(hotels/homes) I’m planning to get my iPad today and I literally won’t be using my iPad for anything unless it’s to game/watch media or as an ebook reader since it’ll primarily stay at home where WiFi is always available. Still. I’m torn as now I don’t know which to get…
I purchased my iPads always with cellular… never used it 🤦🏽♀️ even with travel… I’m now in need of a new one … I can’t click the one without cellular to purchase 😅
@@Jwatchdizzledrip3003 what did you end up doing? I’m planing on getting a tablet just to stream when I’m on the go and play some games. Yes I know at home I will be in wifi but at work I won’t be. Also kinda was making a choice to get the i pad 9th gen or just upgrade my phone I still have the I phone 8th
Need to use my tablet like I use my cell phone anywhere anytime not eating special circumstances, passwords, or need etc. I need to pull it out where I am at work. That’s the concept of being mobile in my mind.
I brought wifi + cellular m1 iPad pro, I tried put my sim on iPad & sharing internet by hotspot, you are absolutely right, cellular connection provides better experience..
It really depends on usage. Only time I use my iPad on the go is in Coffee shops which always have Wi-fi, but I would use cellular for extra speed, no doubt.
Wifi is still limited where I live but cellular just makes a huge difference, plus I can alway rely on the internet on the road and also I feel a lot more secure with using cellular over public wifi, this are the main reasons I prefer cellular iPads or android tablets.
One more point for cellular is security. When you are using the wifi at the coffee shop, you have no idea who else is monitoring the traffic going through that wifi hotspot. When you are using cellular, you can trust that the cellular company is probably not hacking your connection (if they are, you have way bigger problems going on). Using your phone as the hotspot helps with this issue was well, but then you have the speed limitations he talks about. Also, if you are using your phone's hotspot, make sure you sent an extremely strong password so nobody else connects.
I have a cellular iPad and it’s just nice to have for some reason. It feels good to have an iPad that still works even when I’m out of range with my home WiFi or any other WiFi connection.
I have had a cellular ipad mini for years. It's a back-up to my phone in many ways. If my phone is dead I can text from it. If I misplace my phone I use find my iphone to find it. (surprising how often I can misplace my phone--even in the car) I believe there is a way to call from it though I have never used it that way. I've been using the smallest iphones (SE) now since they are easy to carry in a pocket, etc and I can use with one hand. They also cost less than the bigger iphones too. I keep my cellular mini for watching movies, playing games, social media, and work with students. It is so much easier to navigate than just a phone.
TBH, WiFi is everywhere now and that cellular is a “nice to have”. I usually just hotspot with my cellphone if needed and it works great. And you save money. In addition while traveling , you can rent a portable WiFi hotspot device.
Tethering for me sucks so I just go with my own 5G service whenever I'm going on a roadtrip. A lot of people forget you can just buy plans as you go. You don't need to commit to any plans as long as you didn't buy it from a carrier
I have an Apple Watch Wifi+Cellular and with that device I feel like it’s a necessity to have cellular capabilities because it’s a watch and I will sometimes want to go places without my phone. However, when it comes to iPads, I feel like it becomes more of a conveniance factor because wherever I bring my iPad, I bring my phone, and since my phone is hooked up to an unlimited data plan, might as well make use of it. That way I save the extra $200 on the iPad upgrade itself and an extra monthly cost just to have cellular on the iPad.
I set my Wi-Fi only iPad on the passenger side of my car’s hood while I put some other items into my car. Got distracted and forgot about my iPad. Needless to say, it flew off the hood somewhere down the road. Because it’s only Wi-Fi… it’s offline and could not be located with Find My iPad when I signed into iCloud. I’ve walk 13 miles of roadway searching for it without any luck. I just ordered another yesterday and it has cellular. Hoping the cellular connection will improve my odds of locating it if unfortunately I find myself in this situation again of losing it.
I totally agree with you. I originally got the cellular option becasue I travel a great deal and Ive already tried to deal with being efficient and frugal by hotspotting with my phone when trying to work while out of town. VERY FRUSTRATING! The last thing I wanted was to spend extra time waiting for Hot spotting which is not always a smooth operation. WTH the iPad cellular option, it is so much smoother and easier and RELIABLE! No fumbling around with the phone, just open up the device and get to work and get it done with a quickness. So very much worth the extra $10.00 a month that was added to my already unlimited ATT plan. I wouldn’t go back to being limited for anything. I also agree with your statement that those who don’t want the extra cost probably never used cellular on their iPad BUT, it might just also be they hardly ever travel with it so their correct in not purchasing the option. But when you’re on the road a lot like myself, I can whip out that iPad even while eating at the airport or in my car or wherever whiteout needing the phone around. Great video! Thumbs up! Looking at more content.
WiFi +Cellular…. I agree with your point of view. I had an iPad mini with cellular and then changed it to WiFi only and I had to go back to Cellular. It is the best way to have a mobile iPad.
I am using the iPad mini 6 cellular model. Here in my country (Thailand), data plans are really cheap. I got 20mbps 4G yearly unlimited without data cap for about $40. It’s definitely worth it. The mobile carrier I am using also offers the phone app for receive calls and sms as well.
One of the way as I imagine using cellular is if I don’t bring my phone at all. My thinking is that I’d like to have only my watch and my iPad with me for focussed work sessions out in a park overlooking the water or even at a café with my AirPods in. Being able to leave my phone at home is a huge feature for me
This is the cleanest video I could find about whether or not to purchase cellular. You should definitely do an updated version of this with the M4. Thanks for the video.
I'm team WiFi+Cellular. I haven't got my cellular enabled ipad 9th gen yet (It'll be here Monday) but I have a lot of devices with smaller screens. That said, I know it'll be better to go places with a full cellular device that I can see better after an eye stroke. Great review!
I've been using Wifi only tablet for a year thinking I could do more work outside from home and use the hotspot from my phone cause I don't wanna carry my laptop everywhere. But it is so annoying, with the signal and it's draining my phone's battery. If you're planning to use the tablet for work, using outside your home, or just daily use, I would suggest the WiFi + Cellular. It cost more but it will save you time and your phone's battery. That's why i'm here. looking for better options.
im looking to buy a new one. current ipad 5 gen. and im doing a photoboth bussiness and my phone hotspot its fast sometimes but disconnect here and there. and venue sometimes have no wifi or locks it for you. then im screw. the cellular its great if you use it for work
love my iPad with cellular it’s brilliant. It means I can go anywhere with internet. Just like my phone. It’s been brilliant in other countries I have visited. Thanks for reminding me
As someone who lives in a mountainous region where the power can go out at anytime, Cellular connectivity on the iPad helps me attend classes even during power outages where I can't use WiFi. Its a lifesaver especially on rainy days.
Thanks for the video. I’ve noticed that really iPad isn’t useful without data connection regardless of storage having had a 512GB 4G 10.5 Pro. I bought the 128GB M1 5G 12.9GB as I use iCloud and most HDR content you have to stream anyway! I’ve got unlimited data sim for £20 a month in U.K.
Ok so here is my story:- I recently purchased a 2021 M1 12.9 inch WI-FI variant. I use wifi in my house and I'm from India where i don't have 5G and have 4G only. I wanted a cellular variant but because of the budget i couldn't buy it. But I have a WI-FI dongle and it gives you more than 90% of the cellular speed so i don't regret my decision. If the speed is 20 MBPS then in dongle it gives around 18-19 Mbps. Honestly i don't take my ipad outside of my house. But during my family trip i took my ipad and went to the mountain (hill station) which has poor network coverage. But when i was using my dongle it was actually providing me with good network coverage. One thing I understand is that there is no such big difference between wifi or cellular. If you have money then buy cellular but if you don't then buy a dongle and use it. You will not regret your decision. If ever i have to use Location,GPS or have to watch RUclips outside of my house i use my smartphone and not my ipad. So why should you buy a cellular ipad??? Some people might need cellular because of their necessity but if you don't have that necessity then don't buy it and save money. With that money but apple pencil, screen guard, and a back case. Also buy a 1TB SSD that will be necessary if you have a 128 or 256GB variant.
Interesting take. I thought you were gonna say it wasn't worth it. I have wifi only on my current 2018 11 inch iPad Pro, but might get cellular when I upgrade my device! Great video!
I’ve been had cellular iPad since iPad Air 2. Never can go back, plus if you travel or your cell towers down and need a pre paid plan from another carrier you dont have to find a store, hot spot to find wifi to down the eSIM.
I'm late to the game since I just got the iPad mini cellular. I love it. Just wish I can find a way to call and text on it without having to get an iPhone or depend on a third party app.
I was using the Pro 9.7" wifi + cellular for 3 years, I used the modem and GPS only once. Currently I use Pro 10.5" wifi only and don't need cellular as I use it mostly at home with fast wifi. Now I purchased Pro 11" M1 wifi + cellular only because good offer, was cheaper than wifi only model with the same space. Because of that I'm going to install eSIM from my Orange plan (30 GB, calls, sms) also in iPad. eSIM in iPhone and extra eSIM in iPad. Honestly I don't know if I will ever use cellular on the new iPad, but since can share the same plan without additional costs in 2 devices, it doesn't hurt to set that configuration. Ps. Why cellular in Regular, Air and Mini cost 130$ and in Pro cost 200$? Is there any technical justification for that 70$ price difference?
I'm an OG, don't let that fool ya. I'm computer literate. My nature say's start cheap and build up. That doesn't play well in the fast paced electronic industry. As mentioned, Wi Fi has limitations. No GPS, and the security risk connecting to an unknown Wi Fi hot spot. Also connecting to your phones hot spot is problematic. SimplyPops was spot on, using your phone as a hot spot is a massive battery drain. Also mobile services most likely will throttle down your speed or subject you to long router timeouts when your phone is used as a hot spot. Direct cellular enables full 5g speeds whereas hot spot speeds can be 1/10th or less of full speed. The longer the down or upload times, the faster your battery will drain on both your phone and connected device
I use ipad pro with cellular, very convenient and I travel alot on motorcycle. I use ipad as a hotspot the battery last longer. I use it for video editing, entertainment, hotspot, stock trading during travel.
As a business. Having a cellular iPad is really useful. Having to sign invoices and send them right away if very important. It eliminates the hassle to remember to turn on the hotspot, wait for it to connect, then if it doesn't connect, having to reset the iPad and iPhone, taking up extra time, and looking like a moron in front of the customer.
Hotspot’s works for me, since I only use my ipad for thirty minute breaks from work, which does nothing to my iPhone battery. GPS sounds cool and texting with family members when I forgot to charge my phone, hmm still unsure to leave team Wi-Fi over that.
In my opinion it’s for people who do business trips abroad or long holidays, people like that. The point you made in gps I defo didn’t think about, if you went on holiday you could download the google maps offline and not need to use any mobile network or Wi-Fi and just navigate the maps with the gps feature. I never considered gps but that’s such a good point. If you go on business trips or holidays then cellular for sure if you never do then get the Wi-Fi only. I travel once every 2-3 years and it’s nice to have.
Yes I invested 3 grand in the new iPad Pro WiFi only for work. I was soooo pissed when I spent almost a grand on each 1 just to find out it didn’t have gps. Gps is a must I use it for work. Never get WiFi only if you plan on using google maps or any driving apps
i have a wifi only 11" 2020 pro, love it but i don't use it enough to justify having it when i don't really take it anywhere so today i ordered a cellular mini 6 which is perfectly portable and is gonna be killer for on the go video editing in lumafusion. can't wait. rededicating my pro as the stay at home ipad for my fiancé and i to share, especially since i do all my youtube work from my imac now
I use my iPhone for cellular and GPS. It is much smaller than my iPad and with my cellular plan. if I run out of Data, I could repurchase it anytime. From time to time, I use Public WiFi. It isn't safe so think carefully about using it. I have securities on my phone like VPN and security apps. I'm very careful about how long I'm on Public WiFi.
Wow. I just saw your older videos about this and you got way better with RUclips. Oh, and I wanted to ask if the Cellular ipad can only use the eSim or also Sim-cards. And if it has a Sim card slot, can I use micro-sd cards with it
both: SIM-card (nano size only) and eSIM -> all iPad Pro models as well as the iPad mini 5, iPad Air 3 and later, and iPad 7th Gen and later models also have an "Embedded" Apple SIM (eSIM).
I just brought brought the WiFi and cellular one I probably won’t really use the cellular much but worth the addition and I went with the 256gb version. Looking forward to receiving it 😀
I bought a Wi-Fi + Cellular model but found myself just using a hotspot from my iPhone so I haven’t bought a SIM card and plan for the iPad but the cellular feature is nice to have on a tablet.
I've always had a WiFi+Cellular for years. I just sold my 2017 10.5 and ended up purchasing a 2021 12.9 512GB non-cellular from BB which was on clearance for sub $1000.00 However, I continued to search for the same size with cellular for about the same price. I lucked up and found a 256GB version of that iPad on what appears to be an Amazon special order as I'll have to wait two weeks for it to be shipped. It's probably pointless at this junction to have a Cellular version as Wi-Fi seems to be everywhere but seeing it's what I've always had and I like the security of not depending on someone else's security risk based open Wi-Fi I feel much better off having a cellular version.
I’m hardly ever use my iPad outside of my house. The iPad I have now is Cellular+Wifi and I use it for everything: Calling, texting, games, etc. I’m getting a new iPad and am unsure if I should save my money and just go Wifi since I only use it at my house. What should I do? Cellular+Wifi again, or just Wifi.
When I work for a call center I would always recommend cellular to people who truly use their ipad everywhere like me. It’s convenient when you don’t want to trust public WiFi. Avoid additional fees for hotspot using data. The phone battery draining from the hotspot and lord forbid you need to use your phone at the same time. It’s also great if you got kids and y’all on a road trip or getting on a plane. They cost more but they are worth it if you have the needs of those features. I always recommend something that fit the customer. I had people shocked with my honesty when I would tell them I wouldn’t recommend them buying something they wanted because they like the features but had no intention on using it. I don’t believe in wasting money, time, food or my frustrations on a device😂. They wasn’t calling back to cuss out nobody if I could avoid it.
Just attempted to tether the wifi to my iPad. It works if your not moving around, but on the car which I want to use for long road trips doesn’t work well. Def upgrading to a 5g + wifi iPad.
Update, the data plans are crazy for my broke ass. Using the hotspot from my iPhone, works great for my needs! gps navigation +music for commuting daily
I honestly can't think of a use case where I'd have cellular but not wifi. If I'm traveling, every hotel and hostel will have wifi. Planes and airports now have free wifi. The only time I'd "need" it is on road trips where I'm in a car driving on the interstate....but why would I be staring at my ipad and not keeping my eyes on the road? And if I wanted to go off hiking in the mountains or the jungle, why would I be able to get cell service?
Still have my iPad 1 , put in my SIM card from metro for $15 a month it works great . I’m a bus driver so having it go anywhere is amazing . And that was for an iPad 1 !!!! I’ll have to upgrade to get the full experience.
My wife and I just got spectrum internet and we're planning on getting their mobile service just for a cellular tablet or 2.... especially when we go on our 1 year anniversary to Tennessee. We can use it for online entertainment and for maps
I have had the ATT unlimited data plan since 2012 on my IPad. The original data plan was $30/mo when it was discontinued I was grandfathered in at the same price, till a few years ago when it increased to $35/mo. I have used it as my cell phone for that length of time by using a voice over IP app to make and receive phone calls. The app cost $30/year for unlimited calling, domestic and international. I use a few others apps offering free disposable numbers for specific uses like shopping for cars or insurance. I my last phone was an IPhone 3 which I replace with the IPad. A pad without cell service is useless to me
Well... I'm considering a refurbished iPad for one of my 8 year old nieces. Her other Aunt, my older sister, wants to also get her an iPhone. I don't have any kids so I'm not too keen on the latest fads, I just think 8 is too young to have an actual phone. They do use iPad in school. I talked it over with my eldest niece that a tab w/ cell service would probably be more practical and easier for the adults to monitor or to get ahold of her while she's playing her games or face timing with friends. I checked with my service and it'll only cost $20mo to add to my line. I think I just convinced myself lol 😆 Maybe I'll try to sell my sister on the idea of maybe buying a watch in a few years instead. Thanks for your post!
I just bought a iPad Pro 11 withwifi and cellular plus 256 GB. I am trying to decide which phone company to use. My wife has Verizon on her iPhone. We have a fast router in the house, so I will be on it most of the time. Which company do you recommend? Which plan?
I Have a 12.9 wifi only model ipad and I have a car mount for it. I use the gps when connected to my hotspot with no issues. Not sure where you got that from that the wifi only models don’t have gps. Nice video btw
And also dont wanna hurt my iphone battery life at all. I strongly suspect the reason of my iphone 14 changed its battery life to 98% is I tether it for my non-sim iphone 12, damn it
TBh, I need a cellular iPad. I live just out of range for an internet provider, so I use my iPhone hotspot for my TV all day long. I’m getting a cellular iPad for sure.
@@javiercarrillo6773 as long as youre using your phone number from your phone thats tied to your imessage it should work. The phone number on the tablet sim card isnt for texts or calls
The rural area I live in has no high speed internet options. So no wifi for me. I have unlimited data on my phone and another unlimited sim that I’ve rigged to work in my iPad Air and between those, I have very little use for my laptop at home. I still need it at work, but there is wifi there.
I hear you bro. My favorite stuff. I have iPhone 14 plus 128g and ipad 10 gen cell data. Love both so much fun having them and being so young. ❤❤❤ super lucky.
I use a portable modem that connects my iMac, MacBook Pro and iPad to the internet. I plug the modem directly into my computer devices for the best connection. I am on team wifi using a portable plug in modem.
Also if you travel overseas you can change the sim card to that country’s cellular internet and have gps which is damn important and have internet too .
I don’t know. I’m not saying it’s a waste of money I can just use my phone to mobile hotspot. But 8. Just not convinced that it’s so superior in reliability that it’s worth the money. Or what about a Wi-Fi iPad and a mobile hotspot mifi device? The only absolute benefit is the battery drain. But I’m at a point where I’m already carrying a battery with me anyway
i have a wifi only m1 ipad pro i really wanted cellular it was just too expensive for it i just think of it like a mac that has no cellular anyways i just use my iphone if i need to look up something and hotspot in a pinch
I’m disabled with bad hand control and I’m just waiting to completely replace my iPhone with my iPad Pro because for me bigger is far easier. I have a first generation iPad Pro which is dying but I’m trying to hold out incase Apple finally make a iPad Pro which can make hands free phone calls and make text messages to any mobile phone
In the USA I can safely say most families share a plan, bringing the cost down significantly. Also most plans are unlimited unless you’re using a smaller cellular service or pay as you go. The issue is some of them throttle.
it won't , i have an ipad mini 6 wifi only and google maps works but its really slow , your location will lag very much and won't get accurate tracking
I made the same mistake now I'm regretting not going for a more upper version than sitting with a lower one bought for same price because of additional cellular
Thank you🙏🏻 please inform me is wifi+cellular it means can use with e-sim and there's not build with sim card? And about wifi only is it can put with e-sim?
Team wifi-cellular. It just works for us, since my kids use the IPad, and having this option allows them to bring it everywhere, even when wi-fi is not available. And I don't have to constantly hotspot them. Including, when I walk away with my phone, they use to get mad that the wifi would drop lol. Not an issue now
Can the iPad mini 6 with Cellular 5g data make a personal hotspot? If yes, can I connect my Smart TV to it and watch Netflix without lag? Thank you, I'm considering buying it tomorrow.
TBH I always thought cellular ipads will show what you watch or visit and show up on the bill. I use youtube a lot and my family isn’t keen in the music i listen to such as death metal and black metal.

So cellular on iPad and apple watch?
Can you make phone calls on ipad mini?

I am using the iPad mini 6 cellular model. Here in my country (Thailand), data plans are really cheap. I got 20mbps 4G yearly unlimited without data cap for about $40. It’s definitely worth it. The mobile carrier I am using also offers the phone app for receive calls and sms as well.
in my country(Romania) a have unlimited 4g and unlimited calls
I pay for unlimited 5G at Three UK £16 monthly. Got about 600mbps 😀
One of the way as I imagine using cellular is if I don’t bring my phone at all. My thinking is that I’d like to have only my watch and my iPad with me for focussed work sessions out in a park overlooking the water or even at a café with my AirPods in. Being able to leave my phone at home is a huge feature for me
Even if you don't take the iPad out of the house much it will be nice to have cellular on the iPad if power outage.
This is the cleanest video I could find about whether or not to purchase cellular. You should definitely do an updated version of this with the M4. Thanks for the video.
Noted! Thank you for the suggestion!
That's why i'm here. looking for better options.
im looking to buy a new one. current ipad 5 gen. and im doing a photoboth bussiness and my phone hotspot its fast sometimes but disconnect here and there. and venue sometimes have no wifi or locks it for you. then im screw. the cellular its great if you use it for work
I have a cellular iPad but you can take a Wi-Fi model anywhere as well you just have to be mindful in downloading content to use offline
love my iPad with cellular it’s brilliant.
Not everyone lives in a deserted area like you do.
Why not just activate unlimited data configuration without monthly subscription
Ok so here is my story:-
I recently purchased a 2021 M1 12.9 inch WI-FI variant.
Totally agree!
Good questions
Because if buying an IPad pro Apple considers you can afford more therefore they charge more (?)
this is the sign i was waiting for to buy my iPad 😅 thanks man
I'm an OG, don't let that fool ya.
You did not mention pocket routers. Pocket routers are d way to go. It provides connectivity for all ur devices on d go, laptop, ipad, iPhone.
So the Cellular has GPS?
@@leahcimd yes
i have a wifi only 11" 2020 pro, love it but i don't use it enough to justify having it when i don't really take it anywhere so today i ordered a cellular mini 6 which is perfectly portable and is gonna be killer for on the go video editing in lumafusion. can't wait.
rededicating my pro as the stay at home ipad for my fiancé and i to share, especially since i do all my youtube work from my imac now
I use my iPhone for cellular and GPS.
Definitely worth it for me and others who want to double it as a car GPS/infotainment hub.
I had an iPad Pro 5th gen and I gave it to my gf at the time and opted for the iPad Pro 5th Gen cellular. I love it and will never ever go back.
I just brought brought the WiFi and cellular one I probably won’t really use the cellular much but worth the addition and I went with the 256gb version. Looking forward to receiving it 😀
My boss in my company blocked us from accessing RUclips, so I need a cellular iPad for work…..
Any boss would...
THAT’S HONESTLY THE BEST REASON I’VE HEARD FOR GETTING IT
I bought a Wi-Fi + Cellular model but found myself just using a hotspot from my iPhone so I haven’t bought a SIM card and plan for the iPad but the cellular feature is nice to have on a tablet.
Honestly the best way to use the iPad to it’s full potential. Own the 2020 iPad Air cellular, love it more than my iPhone from time to time. 👍
Same here
Not worth it for me, but I understand it depends on one’s needs
Cell plus wifi
Tbh this is the best real life review!! Keep up the good work my brother. I trust your opinion!! 😊

A pad without cell service is useless to me
What about battery life comparison? It seems to me that the battery life of the cellular version must be shorter. (?)
Security too, people over look company / personal information security, having a dedicated cellular connection to an iPad is definitely worth it
I agree. It makes sense. Thank you. Have a blessed day.

0:43 right that's the thing
And also dont wanna hurt my iphone battery life at all. I strongly suspect the reason of my iphone 14 changed its battery life to 98% is I tether it for my non-sim iphone 12, damn it
Apple charges so much more just for celullar on an Ipad.
You can just activate unlimited data
I have wifi and it works for me. I only use it at home. But I can see why someone would need the Cellular + GPS version.

Woah! Data prices are that high in the US
In the USA I can safely say most families share a plan, bringing the cost down significantly. Also most plans are unlimited unless you’re using a smaller cellular service or pay as you go. The issue is some of them throttle.
Will maps and gps apps work on iPad when non cellular and only synced with iPhone ?
it won't , i have an ipad mini 6 wifi only and google maps works but its really slow , your location will lag very much and won't get accurate tracking
I made the same mistake now I'm regretting not going for a more upper version than sitting with a lower one bought for same price because of additional cellular
I used both a lot, and the hotspot is really not as bad as you keep saying

Only cellular iPads have e-sim and are compatible with AT&T, Verizon and T mobile.
