    His standing reach looks around 8”5 so for this guy to touch the rim he needs a 19 inch vertical and he could reach higher than that. This dude jumping 24 inches at 250lbs is insane

      @@bballcoachallen shame I’m sure you’ll get it though being 6”2. And your nephew is 5”9 at 13? That’s pretty tall I’m around that height at 15 so he’s doing well I hope you both get your dunks 👌

    I am 6’4” with an 8’1” - 8’2” standing reach… at the time I first watched this I could barely get my fingers over the rim. Since then I started practicing dunking with a tennis ball, then a volleyball, now I can practically get my whole hand over the rim and rim graze dunk a basketball. Thanks for the video! This really helped!

    • @gamingwithjal7169
      @gamingwithjal7169 Год назад

      @@Roadtodunking0 Took me a couple months to gain a couple inches of vertical jump before I could dunk a basketball, one of the main reasons I couldn’t dunk before was because my standing reach was lower than average for my height.
      Average standing reach for my height was 8’6”
      I already had a little above 20” vertical when I first watched this video, but then I started dunking with smaller balls like a tennis ball then building up to a volleyball. Plyometric exercises also helped me with dunking along with track and field practice since I’m in high school. I started dunking a basketball a few weeks ago.

      I have been putting a program together but start focusing more on footwork, stabilizer muscles, and muscles that help you transition power from horizontal speed to vertical power (For example the Tibialis)

      could be a few things, you have hit a plateau and many hit that. you might need some rest, or a different workout.... also nobody can jump higher forever or else some people would be jumping to outer space by now. You might have also reached your top.... hard to say

    Your jumping ability at your weight in the video is astounding. You probably won't see this but i'm a trainer. Just now getting more into plyometrics if you tried a diet for 30 days, of eating 3lbs of lean ground beef (about 12 medium sized patties, 1,680 calories and 200g of protein) with 1 slice of 35 calorie keto bread with each patty (420 calories and 60g protein) That's 2100 calories a day and 260g of protein in 1 month i believe with your stats you'd lose around 12lbs of fat in 1 month and probably another 8 from water weight, for -20lbs, heck you'd probably even build muscle. You would be an absolute monster.
    That would likely take you down from about ~30-33% bodyfat, to around 21-23% bodyfat. and if you were to do that regime for another month or 2, you'd be close to 12% bodyfat, and be flying over the rim. The diet is extremely satiating, you won't even be thinking about food after a few days and it will be more like a chore having to eat your 3rd meal.

      Thanks, yea I was getting up there again but last January I tore my MCL in my good left knee (the knee that didnt have everything torn when I was 20) .. .I since gained a lot of weight and my right knee is worst than ever and left knee wont recover. At this point I just need to lose weight

      @@bballcoachallen You can do it brother! You definitely have a good bit of muscle built underneath, myself personally when I eat carb dense foods I tend to stay hungry all day. When I switched to eating mostly lean meat (I get 96% lean ground beef) I stay full pretty much all day. I hope your recovery goes well!
