When super jets break the sound Barrier there's a very quick wave and then a boom at the end now with Mass effect since its space, I would think there's no sound but just the wave barrier. And let's just say the Counsel made Liara a specter then she would truly have to change her title from "shadow broker" to Benefactor so no one would know except those who needed to know which would tie in very well.
@@MysticFL1-Beth Ships generate Mass Effect fields that yield planet-like atmospheres, allowing things like the ship to turn in what would be an airless sphere.
Three facts that Liara is not a Benefactor: 1. Assassination of Garson; 2. Giant money and resources for Liara appeared only in ME2 when she became a Shadow Broker. The Benefactor began sponsoring the Andromeda Initiative before the events of ME1; 3. The Benefactor learned about the Reapers before the events of ME1. Liara found out about the Reapers in ME1
I think Liara's redacted title is Specter. I saw this being mentioned in a video someone else did, and the reason in that video makes sense cause in the audio file Liara says about having to report her findings to the council
Liara was the one character from the trilogy that was referenced over and over again in Andromeda through her conversations with Alec Ryder. So even if she's not the Benefactor she might have ties to the initiative.
I doubt she is the benefactor. But perhaps the previous one. She wasn't in possession of large sums of money until just months before the Initiative launched and left the Milky Way Galaxy. If anything, it would probably be Cerberus and maybe some dealings with the conglomerates in charge of Ilium which were a group of Asari with vast amounts of wealth and in that influence. Maybe even criminal elements such as Donovan Hock before he was killed by Shepard and Kasumi. He may have not been able to get full access to the greybox but did manage to get enough to piece it together that the Reapers existed. Also, if Kasumi wasn't recruited in 2 Donovan Hock is the one that gives Jodam Bau the information on the Alliance group led raid on a Batarian research station in possession of Reaper tech.
The Arks departed in 2185 while she defeated the Shadow Broker in the same year, where would she have gathered the money to fund the Initiative and when would it have had the time to build one of the greatest projects in galactic history? Either it's the previous Shadow Broker or another personality entirely.
I think the art work depicts the new citadel. The Citadel is the home of the different species. And more important, the council. Liara is implicating a council reaction to human actions. Not humaniy as a whole, but a group of humans that are opposing a inter-species agreemwnt of some sort.
I like your theory! I really think it's Thessia personally because of the breathing mask and not seeing any humans in that specific piece. Could be them throwing us off too who knows. I also think Liara might be a Spectre. I don't want her to be the benefactor personally just because I think they have the opportunity to introduce a new interesting character to fill that role. Great vid!
I don't think liara is the benefactor. A data pad in the exaltation facility on Voeld was proof of communication of the Kett with the benefactor who has to be the same benefactor of the AI otherwise it makes no sense to introduce that intel.
I doubt Liara is a spectre as while she is able to fight, she is still just an archeologist, Spectre’s or almost always security and military personnel, also I don’t think it would be Thessia because the Turian wouldn’t need a breathing device to be there, it’s more likely Illium since the buildings are more Asari based but it’s also got high access for most races, Earth makes sense too with the teleported theory since the Citidel is still likely in Earths orbit
@@myteamsupreme4348 You can found a datapad on the kett exaltation facility (a side room, quite begin of mission) : Benefactor, I hear that your're having good success on [IMPRECISE;ALT:??, "Eos"]. Perhaps you would be interested to see my homeworld, like you once showed me yours In harmony, Hztch
Is Liara the Benefactor? From MEA? I don't think so. The Benefactor was an ominous and sinister figure who was responsible for Jian Garson's murder. I'm having a hard time accepting Liara being responsible for that, plus the timeline would mean she would have been the Benefactor *before* ME1 and 2, the Andromeda Initiative was started years prior to the main trilogy. Unless you mean some other kind of Benefactor, or if the Benefactor is like a... title or something, like Shadow Broker is, and Liara supplants them in the next game? But that would seem to retread old plot points like Lair of the Shadow Broker, I doubt Bioware had that in mind for the Benefactor storyline. Here's my off the wall hot take tho: Liara's [redacted] title is... Councilor. After ME3, the Citadel races would have had to make a new Council (I guess, depending on how... depopulated the Citadel becomes when the ME3 endgame begins). Would be cool if Liara's elevated to that position. This would keep her in the game, as a major character, but probably not as a squadmate.
Plus if you read few data pads in kett exaltation facility it means that benefactor went to andromeda with nexsus. As for your theory on Liara being on the concul woult be kind of cool.
I want it to be true cause it makes a lot of sense and that "people with guns" line was hilarious BUT it wouldn't explain why jien garson was killed to cover up the reaper invasion (also I don't want to believe liara would order that). One possibility are the geth! They've had the opportunity to stockpile supplies and technology .We know the geth were looking for an opportunity to break free of oppression and war so as an alternative to worshiping the reapers, why not look for a galaxy where synthetic life is in charge IE andromeda (we know they were literally observing it with an FTL telescope) and trick council races into testing the waters of a mass migration to the new home and hitching a ride aboard the ships. SAM could be a geth network which explains how the profiles work in-lore each one is a different configuration of the network in the user's mind, amplifying experiences and reflexes from geth that have fought in similar scenarios.
I was thinking the same thing. I t would make sense if Liara did become the next Asari on the Counsil. Assuming the other one died or just flat out stepped down. Or maybe she's a Spectre? I just thought of that one. It would also fit her considering...
I love Mass Effect theory crafting. Love the idea of the city being rebuilt on Earth despite the toxic atmosphere. Maybe those big structures are atmosphere cleaners inspired by the tech on Tuchanka. Plus the city being a major setting in the game would make lots of sense. We would get to see how Earth has changed after the war. My own wish is that there has been a wave of Batarian refugees coming to Earth to help rebuild and look for a new home. I mean options for Batarians are slim, its either risk it out beyond the Traverse or ask Earth for help. Would love to see a Batarian crew mate and explore the social impacts, personal journey of a Batarian fighting for the old enemy. Plus with the Hegemony destroyed who knows where Batarian society can develop to. So many exciting possibilities!
Maybe Liara is a Councilor now, we never learn of the fate of the old council or anyone on the citadel when it was captured or moved. May the old council is gone
I think the redacted might be Spectre. It would only make sense that the survivors of Shepard's crew would be considered worthy of the title themselves.
@@azzythechristianfurry and imagine tali as the first quarian spectre, that'd make her one of the most successful characters career-wise in the trilogy (her being an admiral as well)
@@imogensullivan2210 Makes sense Also a pretty neat story arc. She would go from “suit rat vagrant” (as the Citadel races rudely call her, plus other Quarians) to Admiral, to Ambassador, to Spectre. She’s racking up titles like Garrus racks up the heads of his enemies.
I think Liara’s third title is Spectre. Reporting to the council means she likely works for them in some capacity. Her network and biotics make her a good Spectre candidate and she was under the command of a Spectre for some time. In fact all of Shepherd’s squad are potential Spectre candidates, I think.
I can't see Liara being the benefactor. The initiative was started years before she even became the shadow broker. The timeline doesn't add up. Unless the original shadow broker was the benefactor and Liara took that over too
Always get a giddy sensation when I see an upload from Mr Hulthen. Massively appreciate the work put in by yourself and the community in bringing out these analyses! Trying in vain to contain my hype 😅
Liara being the benefactor would definitely be the way to tie Andromeda and the trilogy together. You're probably right if Liara and her resources as shadow brokers, would be able to fund something like this.
It would be way better as well to have her as the benefactor rather than the Illusive Man, which was a popular fan theory at least around the time Andromeda relased. Cerberus was a bit over-used in the original trilogy and had their fingers in way too many pies, and was part of a larger problem of eveything after ME1 inflating humanity's role in galactic affairs at the expense of verisimilitude.
Liara being the benefactor would be a plothole and a terrible idea. The benefactor is in the Andromeda galaxy, Liara is in the milkyway. The benefactor ordered for Jien garson to be assasinated which is completely out of character for Liara. The benefactor knew something was going to attack the milkyway before Shepard used the beacon, Liara didn't believe Shepard about the Reapers until Shepard tells her about the beacon. Last but not least the Benefactor is filthy rich which rules out Liara since she becomes the shadow broker after the benefactor started funding the initiative.
It might be that what Liara means with defiance is actually the plot of Andromeda: humanity going behind the council's back and kickstarting the Andromeda Initiative (with all the AI research it entailed)
@@LuisManuelLealDias From what I recall the main AI researchers were the Riders. Moreover, the project founder and spokesperson was Jien Garson, a human. The other species could've been considered accomplices, but I don't think it would be considered discriminatory to place the bulk of the blame on the humans
According the novel "Mass effect Andromeda : Initiation", the Andromeda Initiative is a 100% Human project at the start - Ryder's IA, the idea of opportunity that human race could have the lead somewhere (Ryder thinks Humanity is too...behindhand in the Milky Way where we can't be anything other than an economic and technological dwarf regarding Asaris, Turians and Salarians) - there is even no mention about the other species involvement.
In ME1, administrator anoleis mentions to an earthborn Shepard that Earth is basically a super polluted slum. This could be another cause for the breathers. Additionally, for the Rogue VI mission, when you go to visit Earth, the picture displayed has architecture that is very similar to the new concept art you showed at the beginning of the video
I believe the structures aren't beams to the citadel, but infact terraforming spires that aren't remnant related. They look similar to Shroud technology updated with reaper/ post reaper tech. It would make sense that Earth's atmosphere would need cleaning up similar to a nuclear winter (like the Krogan) after the sheer amount of destruction and the insane release of carbon emissions due to all the burning material.
I think the shaking you mention in the clip is the transition from actual view into a video feed (like coming "out of the TV") and that connects with the reflection you already mentioned in other videos.
5:18 I don't think that's a cloaked Reaper. Since the footage we are seeing (the Cerberus looking Mass Relay) is from a surveillance camera. That glitch/disturbance to me only suggests that the camera itself is cloaked and we are seeing it's own cloaking field since it is recording.
Lol I may be off on the Lore, but the Battaraians may disagree on "ground zero" - Didnt the Reapers hit their planets first, and basically left them in a state of no-recovery with just to few alive to repopulate post war. But yah for the real "war" and not the first strike Earth was the finalconflict-zone.
By the way, here's another fact that Liara is not a Benefactor. The Benefactor knew about the Reapers before the events of ME1. Liara found out about the Reapers in ME1
We see that very faint N7-looking stripe above the text on the left, so I think we're looking at a screen showing this security footage. What we're seeing may be the same sort of effect where if you film a screen you will get weird distortions on said screen.
It’s funny this video just came up because upon my start of another ME3 game, I noticed a lot of the buildings in the background of Earth are very similar to those in the art. Then it got me thinking. The citadel is there so that beam theory makes sense. Also, since Shepard brought all the fleets there, Earth is more than likely going to have a way higher presence of alien races which in turn is going to breed more influence for buildings like that of the one with the Asari. I’m very much sticking to my belief that the concept art is reflecting Earth.
If it IS meant to be Earth, I hope it's a more exotic location like Singapore or Iceland instead of just London or New York City again; These two locations also have very interesting topography and geography.
To decipher the weird shimmer that goes across the screen, try inverting the colors; kind of like the negatives for a photograph. The weird sound was deciphered using software that filtered the sound. I think if software is used to decipher the shimmer, we might be able to see a clear image of what it is.
or maybe its like one of those images, you have to look at it from the charging port and shake your phone to see it clearly. the hint said "look closely 🔎" hehe

If you're saying benefactor as in Andromeda initiative, she couldn't be, as she only became shadow broker, what, months? before the war broke out, whereas the initiative was planned and launched earlier.
The Benefactor has started sponsoring the Initiative BEFORE ME1 events. Where did Liara get such money, resources and influence in those days? And by the way, why did Liara's agents kill Garson?
Specter is my guess on her hidden status, since shepard is most likely dead she felt like taking the mantle of one in her place, and I do like the idea of it being earth it would make sense, the human defiance part might be about people wanting to remove the citadel from the sol system but since shepard is the reason they’re all alive humans are not liking the idea ? Idk
One thing I thought of was those structures are terraformers or they are trying to restore the atmosphere/air quality of Earth. Since the entire planet was shelled into oblivion, the atmosphere must be in a terrible state. Kinda like how the terraformers in Andromeda worked perhaps.
'Benefactor' or 'Spectre'. The first would definitely give the main series a direct connection to Andromeda, but it'd mess with the timeline of the series. I'd say Shepherd's actions could have inspired her to join the program, plus she's never had to 'report' to the council before as a civilian.
it's possible, but I think you're wrong. the benefactor was at least partially responsible for the hidden murders in Andromeda, therefore it makes little sense Liara would be the benefactor. The benefactor would have been an AI. As in "Andromeda Initiative". Yeah yeah, the good old pun.
In this video, starting at around 5:34, watch the just below the very dark shadow, the one that cuts past the top corner of the M…. A shape with some like blinks in with the movement of the distortion. Edit: more specifically it’s below the shadow between the M and the closest spire to the left of the M, on the edge of the relay/ship/station/thing. It’s almost like another ship coming out of a cloak or something
Maybe on the Benefactor part, but it will take time to see. Now, if we can just get the Enterprise to fight the Normandy that would be swell for the time to pass for the foreseeable future.

the three ships you pointed out at the end remind me of the shadow broker's ship in the ME2 DLC as well as the arks. Also the the Liara voice clip could easily be her talking to one of her Shadow Broker agents, who either has their voice masked or is a Geth. Edit: it just occurred to me that in ME3 during Priority Rannoch you can have Shepard enter the Geth Archive to remove the Reaper code. What if in doing that a copy of his neural patterns were saved, and THAT is how we get a resurrected Shepard, he's basically a digital human.
The problem with that is the entire server was wiped out by Legion, with the exception of the programs Legion managed to convince and uploaded into the Prime platoon.
The image actually reminds me of the small thumbnail you see if you go to earth in Mass Effect 1 at the begining of the game. You can’t land, but it gives you the usual image and short bio all planets get when you fly to them in the galaxy map.
Mass Effect 2 takes place in 2185 I'm which Liara becomes the shadowbroker. The Initiative left for the Andromeda Galaxy in 2185 after the events of ME2. Liara would definitely have the resources to be the benefactor and it fits her MO of wanting to ensure civilization continues. Remember in ME3 when she made the time capsule for the future civilizations in case the Reapers won.
@@SeverusHunt Perhaps the shadow broker (the one before Liara) started funding the project and after Liara took over she handled the initiative. That feels like a reach though.
My take is that the visual ripple was a clue to how the audio encoding was done. That was what clued me in to the fact that you had to invert the wave form at the 5 second mark to decode the messages. So it may not be a NEW clue, but part of the hinting for the audio clue.
in Andromeda there is recordings of Liara to Alec, looks like she was involve about AI so i don't know why she would be also hiding as benefactor, then something weird came in my mind, what if the benefactor is the illusive man? Cerberus have unlimited ressources (it seems at least) and this guy have the capacity to be involve in everything, so he would not miss the chance to get some control over the AI, i don't know if this theory already been proposed
Are we potentially over analysing the distortion on the relay clip and could it simply be the camera passing from the outside to the inside of a window that's looking at the relay?
People pointing out that around this new structure there are ships that look like Andromeda ships, got me thinking, what if this is some sort of "MEGA ARK" or "MEGA RELAY" that can get you to the Andromeda Galaxy as fast as other Mass Relays can get you from one system to another. 🤔
@@dragonbornexpress5650 In the meantime people got their hands on a whole bunch of reaper tech. Cerberus rebuilt the Normandy AND Shepard within 2 years. The Alliance built the Crucible within half a year. According the the ending, the Council rebuilt the Citadel and it had to be within the range of 1-4 years time. I'd say it is pretty plausible.
What if Remnants in ME:A are just humans that came to Andromeda years before the Arks came there (there is a theory that if you're going to make a spaceship go millions of light-years, the much more advanced humanity [it's going to take you a while to get there - and humanity will progress A LOT in that time] is going to invent a ship that's going to be much faster, and therefore they'll just be waiting for you in Andromeda, building all sorts of stuff and advancing, while you're still on the way)
It's been a bit since I played Andromeda but wouldn't the Andromeda mission have started too early for Liara to be the benefactor? Garson mentioned in one of the dialogues that she was running out of money while putting the project together and that's when the benefactor stepped in. I got the sense that it was well before Liara became the shadow broker. But as I mentioned it's been a while so my timeline might be off. Further wild speculation... I wonder if the 7 docking bays hint that they are planning another full series of multiple installments and that 4 is just the beginning.....
Wait wait wait. Earth? I wrote a comment some time ago with me saying I wanted to finally get to play on Earth... I would love that. And some stuff on Luna as well, I loved stopping and looking at our planet when you do the "rogue AI" mission ( which I sort of enjoyed, even though it is repetative)
I think the planet with the towers is a Cerberus planet in the terminus sector that we're not supposed to be in. They've been collecting tech, reaper tech, and making a planet. They harvested reapers to make their own to conquer the galaxy. Shame the remnant aren't the source of the mass relays. I can't remember if they were built by leviathan or not.
A couple things that sprung upo in my mind are: Considering the gas masks everyone is wearing in the first image, could those structures be some kind of atmosphere cleaner like the Shroud in Tuchanka? Also, the disturbance in the video of the mass relay could be like a hack or glitch caused by someone to hide something, I think it looks like surveillance footage, so maybe someone edited it to hide something or hacked it to hide a ship approaching it.
Concerning Liara as benefactor: Definitely not. Concerning the timeline, the benefactor must have been rich and influential for years before Liara became the Shadow Broker (and before that she was lacking both the influence and money the benefactor needed to do what he did). ... It's very likely though she knows who it is.
Regardless, I hope to see Cerberus or at least the evolution of the cerberus mindset in the milky way. And how a potentially new cerberus leadership may even test shepard as much as the reapers did. Cerberus is always a welcome, Humanity First! We are humanity's sword.
Just a hunch here but the geth noise in the message might be a message itself after all in Mass Effect 2 overlord David Archer speak to the geth and they obviously would speak in binary so if a MIDI instruments convert binary code into sound could the reverse be done the change the sound into binary then turn the binary code into letters to see if there's a message within the geth voice to or it could be similar to Audio Steganography hiding the message within the audio itself after all liara is talking to a geth and we don't I know what it's speaking
Now that is actually a very well thought out idea. The problem is, I highly doubt that Bioware actually thought about that themselves, and coded words into a sound format. I think they just went with, "this sounds like cool robot sounds" and left it at that. Otherwise, someone would have already figured it out because it's fairly easy if the software is downloaded on one's computer. Take a midi converter to break the sounds down into the files you want. Then, you have to open the files up in a text editor, but midi files aren't readable in Notepad or whatever you're using. You will have to convert from ansi using commands, because it won't come up as an ascii file. An easier way would probably be to have some sort of premade midi to text software. Once converted to a readable format, you can then see the binary code, and break it up into bytes to convert it into a message - either the old fashioned way using math - or by cheating and using an online converter. If they did enter anything in, it would probably be something like Hello World, which is used to test if our computers or codes/scripts are working properly. Maybe someone in the comments who has this stuff downloaded on their computer will read this comment and try it, and then let Mr. Hulthen know if there is anything there. Make sure you get credit. 🙂
the shadow image is liara, the clue is the audio clip of her voice, if you slowly frame forward, the shimmer is liaras reflection as if looking through a window, possibly the mud skipper or the prototype tempest that liara helped fund, we know liara is ONE of the benefactors - if you look at the lore, and where andromeda benefactor fits into the time frame when most of the project was still in it infancy, liara following the death of shepard would have picked up the mantle to save an element of civilisation for the future, this would have kicked into overdrive once as the text said she became the shadow broker as then she would have had both the funds and network of individuals that she couldn't have as an information broker to this degree. further to this if you take cannon refuse ending, the message that the warning of the reapers isn't any of the know planets, its feasible that as part of the andromeda initiative departure, elements along its travel were detached from the different arcs (since each ship arrived from a different location and angel to andromeda, increasing the odds that each ship could survive since if attacked, thus creating a message for future generations that couldn't be touched by the reapers in there clear up that happens after each cycle so not to impact future generations.
I don't buy that it's Earth. Humanity would have prioritized cleaning up any environmental damage to the planet before building new megastructures. Plus we see people on Earth breathing unassisted in the Mass Effect 3 epilogue.
I think the ships resembling andromeda was supposed to refer to the constellation. Someone did a video where they drew the constellation andromeda over the ships that are hovering in the background of the video you showed at the end.
Ok, what you all don’t see yet is how the single bullet theory is true and it is Oswald who killed Kennedy. It is just that he teleported from the book depository to the grassy knoll so he could be in two places as once.
"Although, they should know not to underestimate Human defiance." Perhaps the 'they', Liara is referring to, is the Turians. The two races knocked heads in the First Contact War and Humans didn't just roll over after their first defeats from the Turians, they regrouped and struck back hard. Humans didn't win, but they weren't backing down from a fight with the Turians. As to the , perhaps the missing title is Councilor. If this is taking place, post Reaper War and they are currently rebuilding the Relays, Earth might still be cut off from the rest of the galaxy and there was quite the menagerie of races that had come together for the final battle. Perhaps they have reconstituted the Council, anointed Liara as the Asari councilor, and her statement is in discussion with another Councilor about some 'disagreement' between Humans and Turians. Also, has anyone considered the possibility that the location of those towers, is a new Asari colony placed on Mars? There is an entire planet that could have multiple colonies built on it to house the Turians, Krogan, Salarians, Asari, and Quarians, and that the beams are the 'transport' system that the Reapers were using, to move people to individual space stations for each of the respective species and fleets. Ehh, it is all theory crafting and until Bioware stops teasing and dancing around the subject, all we can do is speculate and guess, still fun though.
A little off topic but I just played that Guardians of the Galaxy game and it has successfully filled the Mass Effect void left in me. It felt like what Mass Effect Andromeda should have been. I'm so glad the writer from that game is working on the next Mass Effect.
Paused at 3:27 to propose that perhaps humanity is fighting the council on moving the Citadel. I mean, having such an important hub in the system would be a huge economic boon to humanity. It doesn't seem like too much of a stretch if the politicians in power are even somewhat like Udina. 3:51 I don't think Liara's is the Benefactor. By the time she assumed the role of Shadow Broker and had the resources to fund the time to Andromeda, the Arcs, and the resources they needed, had already left. Now the Yahg Shadow Broker before Liara is definitely a possibility. I have no clue what that distortion is. It could be something cloaked. It could be something affecting the footage with hacking (kind of like when Kasumi altered the camera footage in her loyalty mission in 2). Maybe there's some kind of electromagnetic field in the area of the construction causing occasional distortions in the footage. It's really hard to say.
I like that you have basically embraced the meme at this point. Honestly, I don't care if all of this turns out to be us just overthinking stuff, N7 Day has ascended into Memehood and for that it will live forever... Or at least until the game comes out in which case we will throw the meme out of the airlock. Just like in Emperor Javik's Cycle.
Assuming this is Earth (or Thessia), it would mean the next game takes place a long time after ME3 because the time needed to rebuilt cities this way would be at least measured in decades. Not to mention the time it would take to rebuilt of The Citadel... The picture at 1:28 always makes me think this is the Jardaan homeworld. And the distorsion we see in the MR7 video surveillance is probably the cloaking shield of the ship taking the footage.
Can't remember where I saw it, but someone suggested that MR7 could be "Mass Relay 7" meaning there could be 6 others. Either Cerberus built or Council built.
That theory on "Toxic Earth" is actually something to consider. Back in the Prothean Cycle, or before them, a massive fleet battle happened over someone's homeworld, and because of this countless tons of Element Zero fell on the planet, making it unhabitable and changing its lifeforms to biotic lifeforms. Now, i'm not saying Earth is doomed, but i'm pretty sure a lot of Eezo is required to move a Sovereign Class Reaper through space. Now add this to God knows how many ships were lost in the Battle for Earth, from fighters to Cruisers, battleships and everything. The Citadel might just become Humanity's new Home, and the "Center" of the Galaxy. If anyone can remember, let me know
The antenna sticking out of the four. I wonder if, not only is it pointing out which ME we’re on- but also how many total games they have planned for the story. The Mass Effect Septology?
Liara can NOT be the shadow broker, she was a lowly intelligence broker on Illium when the arks left. Or she just took over the Lair, and the Andromeda Initiative was in construction for OVER 2 years at that point. Also, she was focusing all her resources to get back Shepard and even took on the previous Shadow Broker before giving his body to Cerberus. Could be Cora Harper though, she could have pilfered funds for the Initiative, she was the Illusive Man's daughter and had access to Thessian military resources which are supposed to be the most advanced after the Reaper tech. You know what's really wild? If the Benefactor came out to be a stray Jar'daan from Andromeda settled in Milky Way and had no qualms about using AI and had enough knowledge to make itself rich beyond anything, coz it was literally Forerunner tech (terraforming planets and sectors and even CREATED species). Or if the Benefactor was a breakaway Geth Hivemind construct trying to flee the Reapers coz they knew that they could be enslaved by the Reapers by their logic virus, just like how the Gravemind did to Mendicant Bias.

I think Liara's redacted title is Specter. I saw this being mentioned in a video someone else did, and the reason in that video makes sense cause in the audio file Liara says about having to report her findings to the council
Doctor | Shadow Broker | N7
E Roserie I don't think it's N7, for the fact that N7 is an Alliance rank.
Liara: Doctor, Shadow Broker and Member of the Council
@@KepleroGT never said she was the benefactor. Just that she seems to have ties to the Andromeda initiative.
I think the art work depicts the new citadel. The Citadel is the home of the different species. And more important, the council. Liara is implicating a council reaction to human actions. Not humaniy as a whole, but a group of humans that are opposing a inter-species agreemwnt of some sort.
definitely not
I like your theory!

Personally, I'm never done talking about mass effect
As for your theory on Liara being on the concul woult be kind of cool.
thank you thats exactly what I was thinking!
We know she will be a major character
Councilor, not benfactor. I believe Liara is now a member of the Council.
Garrus as a Spectre would be so well deserved. Honestly, James, too. I always liked him, even if the community had some weird hate for him.
@@azzythechristianfurry and imagine tali as the first quarian spectre, that'd make her one of the most successful characters career-wise in the trilogy (her being an admiral as well)
@@imogensullivan2210
Makes sense
Also a pretty neat story arc.
Really hope that the next mass effect have at least one big city hub to explore.
I don’t believe she’s the benefactor, maybe Matriarch or councilor. But I firmly believe the benefactor was TIM.
I can't see Liara being the benefactor. The initiative was started years before she even became the shadow broker. The timeline doesn't add up. Unless the original shadow broker was the benefactor and Liara took that over too
Unless she knew there was something coming and had funding from the Asari government and then continued funding it after becoming the shadowbroker
@@TheCrunchbite The Benefactor began sponsoring the Andromeda Initiative before the events of ME1.
Liara didn't know about the Reapers at the time
Always get a giddy sensation when I see an upload from Mr Hulthen.
Thing is though Liara didn't become the Shadow Broker Until the Andromeda Initiative had already left the Milky Way.
Great... another important role for Liara.
Don't we hear a conversation between Liara and Alex Ryder? She's not the benefactor
It might be that what Liara means with defiance is actually the plot of Andromeda: humanity going behind the council's back and kickstarting the Andromeda Initiative (with all the AI research it entailed)
the Turians, Salarians, Asari, the Quarians and even the Krogan went along with it, so to pin that down to humans is a bit .... speciest?
Those towers could be fixing Earths atmosphere like the one on the Krogan homeworld.
Earthborn Shepard can also mention to Ashley that Earth is overcrowded and polluted, and that's why they left.
More Mass Effect!!!!!!!!!!
I was also waiting for someone to pick that up as well. Maybe it's nothing or it's just too technical for the ME community to decode it.
or maybe its like one of those images, you have to look at it from the charging port and shake your phone to see it clearly. the hint said "look closely 🔎" hehe
I never get tired of N7Day content. May it never end. Also, Mr. Hulthen videos are always over too soon.

If you're saying benefactor as in Andromeda initiative, she couldn't be, as she only became shadow broker, what, months? before the war broke out, whereas the initiative was planned and launched earlier.
I'm still speculating that the REDACTED title Liara has now is actually "mother"...
The Benefactor knew about the reapers before the first game happened
Confirmation we will have missions fighting krogan/thresher maw aka average sized Australian bugs in Australia
Liara = Spectre
My first thought when I saw the planet art was Illium, but Thessia, Omega, Earth, none of those would surprise me.
it's possible, but I think you're wrong.
the benefactor was at least partially responsible for the hidden murders in Andromeda, therefore it makes little sense Liara would be the benefactor.
The Benefactor has started sponsoring the Initiative BEFORE ME1 events. Where did Liara get such money, resources and influence in those days?

Unknown.
But it is clear from the murder of Garson that the Benefactor flew to Andromeda. That is, this is not one of those who remained in the Milky Way.
There is a wild theory that Benefactor is Kett)
1. In Andromeda, at one of the Kett bases, there is a letter from Kett. And it is addressed to Benefactor;
2. Look. The name Benefactor is not knocked out in meaning from the names of the Ketts:
Archon
Benefactor
Cardinal
Invictor
Prefect
Primus
I'm happy to see other people love Mass Effect this much. Thanks for appreciating this series and for the videos.
Well I do agree with benefactor I do think it’s possible that she could be a council member now
Doesn't the audio repeat around when visual disturbance happens? Time wave?
the three ships you pointed out at the end remind me of the shadow broker's ship in the ME2 DLC as well as the arks.
The distortion is a reflection of whoever is watching that feed on a monitor.
The image actually reminds me of the small thumbnail you see if you go to earth in Mass Effect 1 at the begining of the game. You can’t land, but it gives you the usual image and short bio all planets get when you fly to them in the galaxy map.
Doctor, Shadow Broker and.... New Queen Of England
I think the easiest possibility for Liara's hidden redacted title might be Spectre. But lots of things would be possible, even councilor or whatever.
Everyone who isn't subscribed to this channel but keeps seeing it popup on their recommended: Holy shit this man is beating this horse.
The Benefactor began sponsoring the Andromeda Initiative before the events of ME1.
So it's not Liara
I think you're right, also I seem to remember that the benefactor killed someone in MEA, typical behavior of the illusive man.
Are we potentially over analysing the distortion on the relay clip and could it simply be the camera passing from the outside to the inside of a window that's looking at the relay?
I love hearing all these details cuz I missed some of it as well
People pointing out that around this new structure there are ships that look like Andromeda ships, got me thinking, what if this is some sort of "MEGA ARK" or "MEGA RELAY" that can get you to the Andromeda Galaxy as fast as other Mass Relays can get you from one system to another. 🤔
Big brain 💭
If that's the case, then I doubt it's only been 4 years since the Reaper War; You ain't building THAT in just 4 years.
The buildings seem to have characteristics of Asari architecture in that artwork of the city.
What if Remnants in ME:A are just humans that came to Andromeda years before the Arks came there (there is a theory that if you're going to make a spaceship go millions of light-years, the much more advanced humanity [it's going to take you a while to get there - and humanity will progress A LOT in that time] is going to invent a ship that's going to be much faster, and therefore they'll just be waiting for you in Andromeda, building all sorts of stuff and advancing, while you're still on the way)
Cloaked reaper bit made me lol. "There is a disturbance..." in the Force? There is a disturbance in the Mass Relay. I could be mass effect energy.
You remember correctly. The benefactor began sponsoring the Andromeda Initiative before the events of ME1.
i was just going to say that 25 years book has such a gold mine of knowledge for their game development!
Great video as always!
It's only a tiny detail, but the lights coming on at certain parts of the station at the same time as the distortion was kind of suspicious to me
Wait wait wait. Earth? I wrote a comment some time ago with me saying I wanted to finally get to play on Earth... I would love that. And some stuff on Luna as well, I loved stopping and looking at our planet when you do the "rogue AI" mission ( which I sort of enjoyed, even though it is repetative)
Liara may either be the benefactor or a spectre
I think the planet with the towers is a Cerberus planet in the terminus sector that we're not supposed to be in. They've been collecting tech, reaper tech, and making a planet. They harvested reapers to make their own to conquer the galaxy.
Shame the remnant aren't the source of the mass relays. I can't remember if they were built by leviathan or not.
A couple things that sprung upo in my mind are:
Considering the gas masks everyone is wearing in the first image, could those structures be some kind of atmosphere cleaner like the Shroud in Tuchanka?
Also, the disturbance in the video of the mass relay could be like a hack or glitch caused by someone to hide something, I think it looks like surveillance footage, so maybe someone edited it to hide something or hacked it to hide a ship approaching it.
Concerning Liara as benefactor: Definitely not. Concerning the timeline, the benefactor must have been rich and influential for years before Liara became the Shadow Broker (and before that she was lacking both the influence and money the benefactor needed to do what he did). ... It's very likely though she knows who it is.
That distortion is just the little ship/shuttle passing through the mass effect shield/envelope event horizon of the relay ship thingy...
Regardless, I hope to see Cerberus or at least the evolution of the cerberus mindset in the milky way. And how a potentially new cerberus leadership may even test shepard as much as the reapers did. Cerberus is always a welcome, Humanity First! We are humanity's sword.
The distortion wave over the secret video of the relay construction looks like a sound wave format.
Mass Effect 5 what happened to Mass Effect 4?
No
No
No
Andromeda is not Mass Effect 4
well. this confirms, control is the cannon ending XD
the shadow image is liara, the clue is the audio clip of her voice, if you slowly frame forward, the shimmer is liaras reflection as if looking through a window, possibly the mud skipper or the prototype tempest that liara helped fund,
we know liara is ONE of the benefactors - if you look at the lore, and where andromeda benefactor fits into the time frame when most of the project was still in it infancy, liara following the death of shepard would have picked up the mantle to save an element of civilisation for the future, this would have kicked into overdrive once as the text said she became the shadow broker as then she would have had both the funds and network of individuals that she couldn't have as an information broker to this degree. further to this if you take cannon refuse ending, the message that the warning of the reapers isn't any of the know planets, its feasible that as part of the andromeda initiative departure, elements along its travel were detached from the different arcs (since each ship arrived from a different location and angel to andromeda, increasing the odds that each ship could survive since if attacked, thus creating a message for future generations that couldn't be touched by the reapers in there clear up that happens after each cycle so not to impact future generations.
Yes, I thought 'benefactor' was it. And the geth (non-heretics) were transmitted to Andromeda as 'software'.
You are my life support at this point
Liara is Doctor, Shadow Broker, and The Illusive Woman. The new head of Cerberus.
Those longer ships remind me of the Krogan seed vault you have to take back in Drack’s loyalty mission
Loop that distortion and speed it up to the point where you can see its form
Assuming this is Earth (or Thessia), it would mean the next game takes place a long time after ME3 because the time needed to rebuilt cities this way would be at least measured in decades. Not to mention the time it would take to rebuilt of The Citadel...
The picture at 1:28 always makes me think this is the Jardaan homeworld.
And the distorsion we see in the MR7 video surveillance is probably the cloaking shield of the ship taking the footage.
It also looks the the air purification structure on Tuchunka.
Can't remember where I saw it, but someone suggested that MR7 could be "Mass Relay 7" meaning there could be 6 others. Either Cerberus built or Council built.
Mr hulthen. what star projector do u use. I love ur backround
Galaxy Lamp! There's a link in the description of the video : )
awesome thank you. love ur videos.
"Keep seeing stuff that isn't there" basically how the Doctor from Doctor Who summed up why they like humanity but also finds us frustrating.
Does the static sounds have a meaning? Are they connected to the image distortion?
