Hey have you @MrHulthen or anyone considered something possibly even more....frightening? The Relays themselves are Reaper tech and likley after the reaper war if Canon is destroy . The 314 relay would have blown up too even being inactive , But as such the PRIORITY would be post war to repair and rebuild the known citabel space relays and not rebuild or repair the inactive ones that were destroyed or not in fact if the Inactive relays were not destroyed likely they would use them as parts and such to repair known relays. So this image could be of Humanity/with or without cerberus remnants Building a NEW relay 314 to continue what they were doing before the Turians intervened.....and as such end up opening a pandora's Box ?

Also for that human defiance bit, the galaxy pretty much owes everything to humanity: A human defeated Saren and the Geth. A human stopped Harbinger and the Collectors and a human united the entire galaxy to fight an unstoppable enemy. The Citadel is now on top of Earth as well, and by all means Earth is now the "Center" of the Galaxy.
My best theory for the next *trilogy* is that humanity is now the galactic leader who is responsible for uniting the galaxy and creating peace. In essence, Shepard was successful. But then the Leviathans come out of hiding and try to undo it all to regain their lost power over the galaxy. They more than likely would do this by mind controlling and trying to create chaos between the galactic species in order to weaken the strong galactic government that Shepard helped create.
Actually they are as every relay must obey every command that the citadel master relay sends like the relocation protocol after every harvest so the galaxy is fresh for exploration for the next 50,000 year generation this includes those inactive relays but because the citadel master relay fell to earth falling over Great Britain and france with bits and pieces falling over europe and the north pole ice caps it's safe to say that humanity pretty much has a monopoly on reaper tech and more specifically relay tech which would take years given how long it took humanity to parse the martian archives.
If inactive relays weren’t used, it might also explain how the geth survived even if destroy becomes the canon ending, if some were located in a system behind an inactive mass relay.
@@ItsAv3rageGamer there is only one recorded instance where the geth and a mass relay survive and that's the one that the geth use as a telescope for the andromeda initiative and the jump zero relay for the andromeda initiative but we have no knowing if that relay survived the self destruct protocol all relays inactive or active since the citadel is the biggest and the master relay from which you can if the geth or another artificial intelligence deigned to override starkid and monitor every relay from the comforts of citadel tower.
I dunno. As a story telling device it's all about humans for two reasons: (a) humans are the ones playing the game and we want to be the heroes of our own story and will relate to it more, and (b) humans are intergalactic baby morons so we have a built in device of "you can explain everything to this dipshit because they have no idea what's going on". Humans just hit the intergalactic stage for this cycle to be harvested. If this wasn't a human-centric game the reality would likely be that the heroes would have been the salarians. Their entire thing is knowledge, information gathering, eidetic memory (them saying photographic gives me a conniption), and, very likely, manipulation. With it being a human-centric story, that also requires the other species and leaders to do some very stupid things, in order for humanity to really push to the extreme levels of success it does. Humanity is still extremely young, impulsive, greedy, aggressive, and entitled. You take away the story necessity of the general concept of what we are presented in Mass Effect, at the galactic level, and humanity's place would have been far diminished. Of course, you can easily argue that if you take away the human-centric story you take away everything that is Mass Effect, because humanity's journey, and heroism, is the story they are telling. We likely will never get to play a hero who is asari, or salarian, or drell, or elcor. Especially elcor. There's too much ingrained history to be able to easily write a game with such vastly different protagonists. I mean, unless you pulled an FF8 and had a multi-cultural orphanage on Earth so everyone is culturally human, but you could be a blue tentacle head outside multiplayer. .... I don't know if I would be mad at that. But, you are more likely to continue to see the stories told through humanity's lens, making humans the heroes, and the saviors, and the victors against all odds. I tend to see games as much in terms of the environment and history as I do through the main character. So, despite how human-centric the games are and how much it is humanity saving the galaxy, I'm still pretty "humans suck", but I'm kinda that way naturally. Plus, without humility and understanding you just get humans as megalomaniacs. BioWare does try to definitely shove in plenty of human depravity, greed, and success at all cost, as well. You may have a shining hero, but you also get TIM. You have two-faced Alliance leaders decrying the exploration into AI, and Alliance black ops bunkers creating AI and interfacing with enslaved organic minds. Like... humans also REALLY SUCK in Mass Effect. So... yeah? The galaxy can be grateful for Shepard's victory and how he/she helped to bring everyone together. But they aren't ever going to bow down to the unerring influence of mankind. Cause that definitely doesn't exist.
This is another great breakdown as always and I love your theory that we might be activating the 314 relay. One thing I will say though is that on the right side of the blog post concept art, it specifically says SFX5, which as you know was the ME1 project name, so I think the hangar bay could be referencing a Mass Effect 4 sequel, but there's also the Mass Effect 5 on that Illium looking concept art. Ashe (Lady Insanity) also found that two signs in that same concept art are from Kadara port from Andromeda, so I think it's another indicator that we're also getting some kind of Andromeda sequel. Obviously, we don't know anything for sure, but all these clues are so fun to break down!

the idea of activating the 314 relay is plausible and it explains what Liara said since the council doesn't want it to be activated. and if it opens a new part of the galaxy allows the devs to create new stories and new aliens and makes the discovery of a new civilization possible. another thing: if the relay was dormant it means that the crucible signal in the destroy ending didn't reach all the galaxy. and I think it will be called ME4. about those numbers why there is no number 1 if they are hangars?
It also got me thinking about other reaper created relays that ain’t active when the crucible beam was fired at the end of mass effect 3 I wonder if they will still work
well i'd like to say that the Destroy ending (and all others) do reach the whole galaxy, cuz there are pulses after the relays launch the energy, but the inactive relays may be in near perfect condition cuz they weren't active and they didn't launch the energy

I still think there might be some reapers still alive somewhere would be cool to go halfway in the story and suddenly you hear the reaper sound out of no where. Oh the fear that will instill on me will be through the roof xd

Agree with most of the points made. The idea of salvaging Reaper corpses to upgrade our ships and such is so fun. Each Reaper is a treasure trove of tech and information about unknown past species. I really hope that gets explored even just as side content.

In Greek mythology, a Cerberus is a three headed dog that guards the gates of the underworld. If you look at the Cerberus logo, it's split into three pieces. It made me think, maybe Cerberus has three CEO's with each one controlling their own division. We know Cerberus operated in cells, so if one goes down it doesn't compromise another. If the Illusive man was the only figure heading Cerberus, the Reapers would have known about the Andromeda Intiative and the relay system being built when they took control. I'm guessing the benefactor is another Cerberus CEO and the one behind the relay construction is the other.
With Liara's line about human defiance, I can't help but think about the line in the movie The World's End: "Face it, we are the Human Race... and we don't like being told what to do"
That 'REAPER' definitely refers to the Reaper DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). There's also a reference to a .rpp file, which is a Reaper project file.
I like the shanxi theory. I also just noticed how remarkably similar the planet looks to the one shown in the old Andromeda N7 day teaser from like 6 yrs ago.

The part about the antenna meaning it's Mass Effect 4 is contradicted by the other piece of concept art that says "SFX-5" in the background, Mass Effect's name during pre-production being SFX. While the antenna is an understandable conclusion on one hand (even tho kind of a stretch) the SFX-5 thing is clearly the obvious right answer here (the right answer being BioWare is treating this as ME5 and not ME4)
The Antenna pointing to the number 4 could be a hint to the development in mass relay tech in the 4th title FIrst off portable mass relay ship Potentially they have small ship docking bays which shoot mini mass relay shots ejecting the ships across the galaxy if this is some new advanced project we could see all kinds of utility
I think it's pretty clear it is pointing at 4 as a clue that the next game is Mass Effect 4. Not only is 4 the sequel number to follow ME3, and MEA was clearly NOT a sequel...but look to the left of 2. There is no 1 there. Well, Mass Effect 1 is NOT Mass Effect 1. It's Mass Effect. No number. And that is exactly why there is no (1) to the left of that (2). Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, mass Effect 3, and now, Mass Effect 4. Furthermore, I think the reason it goes up to 7 is either that they plan to do 4, not 3 games. Or, it's simply for N7...7. And finally, it could mean that there is a trilogy coming, with a new game after that which ties MEA into the end of this trilogy.
Could it be possible for Shepard to return via the Geth? During the mission to destroy the Geth fighter network shepard gets uploaded into the Geth, could it be possible that Legion saved a copy of Shepards consciousness into the Geth servers? Legion often did things without first consulting Shepard believing it to be beneficial
I just assumed as the new catalyst. The keepers would grab him to repair him as he is part of the citadel. But, making Shepard fully functional is low priority beyond keeping him alive since the citadel is massively broke. And they are pulling quintuple shifts

I have a feeling this could be a "First Contact" between Milky Way species that were not deemed worthy of harvesting by the Reapers. So the races we've known could be dealing with the races that were supposed to enherit The Citedel after the Reaper War we experienced. I'm thinking we could see a migration of Council Races depleted by the War and fighting for resources from The Milky Way to Andromeda. And people like "The Benefactor" and the remenants of The Initiative will have a part to play going forward.
what if cerberus were to procure and rebuild some destroyed reapers from the end of ME3? there could be multiple factions repurposing the reaper tech. So you wouldn't be fighting the previous reapers but reprogrammed and mostly repaired ones from ME3. The Geth could also potentially assimilate some they found into their hivemind. Lot of possibilities going down that road, even if it was just some side quest related stuff.

Also if you look again at the antenna on the #4 thing. There are 3 lit bays before it. But the rest of the bays 5-7 are dark. Possible hint at wanting to make more games? Up to Mass Effect 7?? I think Cerberus wanting to come back and build their own Relay network to unknown systems makes total sense and could be a fun story. Especially if they make contact with something the galaxy was better off not running into.
The more and more things get shared the more I can’t wait for the next game. I feel like if they did want to go with a first contact war game it could be like a Reach or ODST situation where it can be a neat spinoff where none of the characters survive in the end
Cereberus has been 2nd place antag for the entire series, be nice if they’re main antag lead by an Illusive Man AI or one of his acolytes in this game, especially with that tease and Reaper tech they’d without doubt salvage.
Cerberus is actually a pretty scary villain because they represent how far humanity can go to get to the top. And yes please, i'd love seeing Martin Sheen come back as an Illusive Man AI
They had fast cloning tech as well. Surely the Illusive Man would want a backup and with those eye... implants. There wouldn't be a problem like close shep had if they were the same type of implants.
@@combatmagi1006 If I remember correctly the Illusive Man's eyes weren't implants but the result of coming into contact with a reaper device. I think it was the spike. It was shown in the comic they made detailing his involvement in the first contact war.
Anyone else believe this is the conversation Liara is having with the Geth; Geth: this is the weapon. Liara: I can see it, how did we miss this. Geth: it wasn't always hidden here/it was only shipped here. The Geth definitely sounds like it's English, albeit broken, almost Evp.
I really don't think Cerberus is going to be involved. They were pretty thoroughly dismantled by the end of ME3. I get that they operated in independent cells, but without the Elusive Man and his command cadre, most cells would probably just go dark. Assuming they weren't destroyed during the events of ME3.
Alright hear me out if your theory on Cerberus building a relay that also could mean they can remake Shepard as they did make a clone to try and kill the real shepherd, so this could how we see shepherd again and have our friend liara save you like she did in mass effect 2.
Let's not forget the og baddie the leviathans who are still around and now if the reapers are gone have no reason to hide anymore. Let's not forget the indoctrination was originally their trick. Also there is also a 1 in the series of numbers but barely visible.

I still strongly believe in the ME theory that the Jardaan were the reapers, and it was they(or a rogue, which might explain the hinted at uprising) that created - from their point of view, artificial life - the Angara. Or, the leviathans are back - I always thought it was silly that a species capable of traveling anywhere without a mass relay, STAYS in the milky way, right under the reapers, so called, noses.
They can travel, yes. But it's possible they were not superior in other galaxies. They may have found an even greater threat than themselves, inviting their own destruction back home in the milky way. They were obsessed with superiority and control, so it might not have been a risk they were willing to take.
The theory about the next game being a prequel focused on the Relay 314 Incident never made sense to me. I just don't believe Bioware would make a game where our central conflict would be against the Turians. It's also much too small a conflict. The original trilogy pitted us against an ancient foe with the power to destroy all sentient life in the galaxy. Andromeda pitted us against intergalactic Nazis waging a genocidal war in an attempt to breed the perfect race. A misunderstanding over a relay would be anticlimactic.
Love the theory and the involvement of the the relay 314 and as we know mass effect is known to have so many story arcs that lead u to the final confrontation with the main villan and i believe that the reapers the 314 relay, the uncharted space, creberus and Andromeda are all involved here just imagine the size and the content that we could have here and maybe we're looking at the beginning of another trilogy here. Perhaps the "MR7" is a Moveable Mass Relay which can also Transport itself (possibly even to Andromeda with incredible speed) which Cerberus has been working on in Secret during ME2 and ME3. I mean they managed to Make a whole new Normandy (SR2) within 2 Years without anyone knowing, so who said they couldnt make a Whole Relay ship based on Reaper Tech they gathered in 2-3 Years in Secret? I find this quite intresting and actually quite Possible, the death of the Illusive Man doesnt necessarily mean the Death of the Ceberus or the Projects that they have had.This Theory makes too much sense for me to not be actually included in the new ME...at least some parts.
And if you look here in the color pallet, there are some deep shades of blue, so clearly, that's a reference to Leviathan, and the reapers are a nickname for leviathan being the new big bad
Hey, Hulthen! I don't know how this might factor into anything, but... Isn't there a DARK CITADEL somewhere? Relays come in pairs. So if the Citadel was a giant relay to dark space shouldn't there be a second one out there beyond the Milky Way? Possibly a Reaper nest?
Has anyone ever theorized with Cerberus backing the Initiative and possibly this new ship/ relay/ weapon thing, that with the Citadel being a Relay to Dark Space (and the possibility of a Dark Citadel which I love the thought of) and the Nexus, an Andromeda Citadel replacement, whether the Nexus itself has some dormant relay tech built in to it and this is how they will bride the two together? Maybe with this relay ship being what can travel between the two galaxies?
They don't come in pairs. Traveling to Ilos didn't need one on the other end. You just ended up stuck if you traveled there, hence why the Protheans had to make one to escape to the citadel. But you are still correct that dark space has a mass relay with the same capacity as the citadel, otherwise the reapers couldn't have used it.
Them activating that relay that goes into uncharted space could make a really interesting story. Just hope the writing is waaaaaaaaay better than ME Andromeda.
Just had to think about one thing; The Citadel is the main mass relay and was used to defeat the Reapers. Moreover, the Reapers built the mass relays and used them. So what if they activated all inactive relays including the first contact war one? So unlike ME1 to ME3, we now have all mass relays online but damaged or already repaired
I would love to see a story where we see the pitfall of what happens now that there are no more Reapers. What if new species grows out of control as they were not stopped by the reapers. I think it could be fascinating.
Relay 314 makes sense. The RGB signal went through all the relays to get around, if 314 isn't active and leads to uncharted space, Reapers being hidden away is entirely a possibility.
It could be that it's not an antenna but an unbiblical a walkway at which a spacecraft can dock with move material and personnel from vessel to station and vice versa. The number is probably what a flight controller would tell a pilot of an incoming ship to dock at when giving the pilot the ok to dock. Like Mass Effect 1 the controller tells Joker to dock at docking bay 22.

I always love your videos my friend. I never even thought about the activation of dormant relays. That could be very interesting. I'm trying not to get overly hyped for the next Mass Effect given the state of current AAA development in the industry. Pretty much everything releases broken these days. Mass Effect is my favorite gaming franchise of all time though so it is hard to not be super excited for another one. I just hope that BioWare can truly take their time on this one and blow us away. Crossing all my fingers and toes. One can dream.
Shepard is alive. Reapers are dead. Cerberus has built a self-relaying relay. Shepard is the relay’s commander. Earth is destroyed. Shepard is taking the bulk of Earth survivors in search of a new home-world. To unexplored regions against the council’s wishes. ME2 meet MEA meet Battlestar Galactica. Main antagonist, everyone.
Bioware really loves to tease their fans and I'm all for it, they definitely are one of the best companies at teasing stuff. I just want this game already but I'll be patient so they can do it right
Something I´m kind of wondering, if the Mass Relay in the Shanxi system (relay 314) is dormant, how did humanity travel to and from that system, as systems don't usually have multiple mass relays right (besides the region where the Citadel used to reside I believe)? I might be wrong so if so, I apologize for being dumb as it's been a while since the last time I played any of the Mass Effect games.
That's actually not explained as far as I know. I might have been wrong on the part about it being in the same system, but it's probably in another system closeby, which would explain it
I really find the first contact concept interesting for a continuation. Mass Effect 4. And what is a plausible story when picking up the puzzle pieces from both the trilogy and Andromeda. Well, Meeting both friendly species and reapers/leviathan/remnants etc trough a new mass relay.
Given TIM'S propensity for complex planning, I think it realistic that he had a 'backup plan' just in case of failure. No doubt made prior to his full indoctrination. TIM was almost asari-like in his approach to the 'long game'. The possibility of leadership and well hidden, well equipped Cerberus sleeper cells is a probability- in both three Milky Way and Andromeda. Throw in the usual Council race in-fighting and the potential new arms race cause by all the new tech the races would grab and you've got huge story potential. Lots of danger, conflict, and potential for galaxy destruction. All things our lovely Shadow Broker would jump right into...
Despite what people say ME Andromeda was a fun game after the bug fixes. I hope they do in some way connect them games as the Kett alone are as bad as the Reapers since the Kett want to make everyone one of them.
These fan theory episodes are always fun, but personally I will just wait for actual confirmation and not just hints before I let myself get too hyped, lol. Plus based on where we think development is on the game, some of these hints and easter eggs might not be relevant by release. Still fun to speculate though in the mean time.
@MrHulthen I still love the videos 😆. But yeah from a gaming perspective, I've had to learn the hard way the last few years that things can change. Personally I hope that if it's "Mass Effect 4", they'll use the data they got from the votes from ME Legendary edition to form a "canon" ending, if they need to go that route. Or they could do something similar to what they did for DA Inquisition
Say, who isnt to say that the llusive Man could have had a child: Bring in Charlie Sheen to play the character to have some IRL continuity, with the obvious familial relationship, but also to give us a more "unhinged" or "intense" Illusive Man styled character. Charlie Sheen is 110% capable of outputting the same suave, calculated... collected... demeanour his father did for the I.M., but he also has a slightly more eccentric and wild nature, and could bring an accentuated edge or hardness, or even a little nuttiness, to the son of the Illusive Man.
I also really hope the whole Cerberus thing is completely wrong and these creeps have been completely annihilated by the Alliance once the war is over.
The antenna might not be pointing at #4, but pointing away from it. There’s no Hanger Bay 1… original Mass Effect. ME2 and ME3, the 4th entry in the series leading away from the mass relays into Andromeda, and then 5, 6, and 7 representing a new trilogy of games. Just a thought.
I doubt they'll incorporate Andromeda into it. While it's possible for Liara to still be alive 600yr after me3 (when Andromeda takes place), and while Liara was probably the benefactor that funded the Andromeda initiative. It doesn't really align with the date in the teasers. Even if the Andromeda Initiative had quantum entanglement communicators (which they had the tech for in the SR2 so it wouldn't be improbable) it would still be hundreds of years after the date of the time stamp on the surveillance footage.
You should make a video on the possibility that the geth megastructure or the dyson sphere allowing the things inside it to be safe from destroy ending,kinda how shield worlds in halo save things inside them from firing of the rings. Probably that's how geth got saved after the destroy ending.
Aah i wouldn't hold out hope, i N7 Day is still pretty fresh & it's likely they'll focus on Dragon Age for now. But i'll be there streaming if it happens!

Hmm i honestly just think it's an old man (not Joker) but I could absolutely see him as such if that was meant to be the case. The snowy planet could also be the same Stargazer planet but it's really hard to say since we don't actually see any discernible landmarks except for maybe the dual moons. I actually made a video some time ago about this theory
So do you think that Relay 314 (and other "non-activated" relays) are still intact? If so, the only reason to build another relay so close is if it's mobile and/or can be weaponized.
My new theory is game starts out Shep taking down All things still Cerberus when this ?relay is discovered and somehow Shep disappears. The hunt is on leading us to Andromeda with new character and maybe some Liara.

Actually they are as every relay must obey every command that the citadel master relay sends like the relocation protocol after every harvest so the galaxy is fresh for exploration for the next 50,000 year generation this includes those inactive relays but because the citadel master relay fell to earth falling over Great Britain and france with bits and pieces falling over europe and the north pole ice caps it's safe to say that humanity pretty much has a monopoly on reaper tech and more specifically relay tech which would take years given how long it took humanity to parse the martian archives.
If inactive relays weren’t used, it might also explain how the geth survived even if destroy becomes the canon ending, if some were located in a system behind an inactive mass relay.
@@ItsAv3rageGamer there is only one recorded instance where the geth and a mass relay survive and that's the one that the geth use as a telescope for the andromeda initiative and the jump zero relay for the andromeda initiative but we have no knowing if that relay survived the self destruct protocol all relays inactive or active since the citadel is the biggest and the master relay from which you can if the geth or another artificial intelligence deigned to override starkid and monitor every relay from the comforts of citadel tower.
I dunno. As a story telling device it's all about humans for two reasons: (a) humans are the ones playing the game and we want to be the heroes of our own story and will relate to it more, and (b) humans are intergalactic baby morons so we have a built in device of "you can explain everything to this dipshit because they have no idea what's going on". Humans just hit the intergalactic stage for this cycle to be harvested. If this wasn't a human-centric game the reality would likely be that the heroes would have been the salarians. Their entire thing is knowledge, information gathering, eidetic memory (them saying photographic gives me a conniption), and, very likely, manipulation.
With it being a human-centric story, that also requires the other species and leaders to do some very stupid things, in order for humanity to really push to the extreme levels of success it does. Humanity is still extremely young, impulsive, greedy, aggressive, and entitled. You take away the story necessity of the general concept of what we are presented in Mass Effect, at the galactic level, and humanity's place would have been far diminished. Of course, you can easily argue that if you take away the human-centric story you take away everything that is Mass Effect, because humanity's journey, and heroism, is the story they are telling. We likely will never get to play a hero who is asari, or salarian, or drell, or elcor. Especially elcor. There's too much ingrained history to be able to easily write a game with such vastly different protagonists. I mean, unless you pulled an FF8 and had a multi-cultural orphanage on Earth so everyone is culturally human, but you could be a blue tentacle head outside multiplayer. .... I don't know if I would be mad at that.
But, you are more likely to continue to see the stories told through humanity's lens, making humans the heroes, and the saviors, and the victors against all odds. I tend to see games as much in terms of the environment and history as I do through the main character. So, despite how human-centric the games are and how much it is humanity saving the galaxy, I'm still pretty "humans suck", but I'm kinda that way naturally. Plus, without humility and understanding you just get humans as megalomaniacs. BioWare does try to definitely shove in plenty of human depravity, greed, and success at all cost, as well. You may have a shining hero, but you also get TIM. You have two-faced Alliance leaders decrying the exploration into AI, and Alliance black ops bunkers creating AI and interfacing with enslaved organic minds. Like... humans also REALLY SUCK in Mass Effect. So... yeah? The galaxy can be grateful for Shepard's victory and how he/she helped to bring everyone together. But they aren't ever going to bow down to the unerring influence of mankind. Cause that definitely doesn't exist.
This is another great breakdown as always and I love your theory that we might be activating the 314 relay. One thing I will say though is that on the right side of the blog post concept art, it specifically says SFX5, which as you know was the ME1 project name, so I think the hangar bay could be referencing a Mass Effect 4 sequel, but there's also the Mass Effect 5 on that Illium looking concept art. Ashe (Lady Insanity) also found that two signs in that same concept art are from Kadara port from Andromeda, so I think it's another indicator that we're also getting some kind of Andromeda sequel. Obviously, we don't know anything for sure, but all these clues are so fun to break down!

the idea of activating the 314 relay is plausible and it explains what Liara said since the council doesn't want it to be activated. and if it opens a new part of the galaxy allows the devs to create new stories and new aliens and makes the discovery of a new civilization possible. another thing: if the relay was dormant it means that the crucible signal in the destroy ending didn't reach all the galaxy. and I think it will be called ME4. about those numbers why there is no number 1 if they are hangars?
It also got me thinking about other reaper created relays that ain’t active when the crucible beam was fired at the end of mass effect 3 I wonder if they will still work
well i'd like to say that the Destroy ending (and all others) do reach the whole galaxy, cuz there are pulses after the relays launch the energy, but the inactive relays may be in near perfect condition cuz they weren't active and they didn't launch the energy

Agree with most of the points made. The idea of salvaging Reaper corpses to upgrade our ships and such is so fun. Each Reaper is a treasure trove of tech and information about unknown past species. I really hope that gets explored even just as side content.

In Greek mythology, a Cerberus is a three headed dog that guards the gates of the underworld. If you look at the Cerberus logo, it's split into three pieces. It made me think, maybe Cerberus has three CEO's with each one controlling their own division. We know Cerberus operated in cells, so if one goes down it doesn't compromise another.
If the Illusive man was the only figure heading Cerberus, the Reapers would have known about the Andromeda Intiative and the relay system being built when they took control. I'm guessing the benefactor is another Cerberus CEO and the one behind the relay construction is the other.
With Liara's line about human defiance, I can't help but think about the line in the movie The World's End:
"Face it, we are the Human Race... and we don't like being told what to do"
That 'REAPER' definitely refers to the Reaper DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). There's also a reference to a .rpp file, which is a Reaper project file.

The part about the antenna meaning it's Mass Effect 4 is contradicted by the other piece of concept art that says "SFX-5" in the background, Mass Effect's name during pre-production being SFX. While the antenna is an understandable conclusion on one hand (even tho kind of a stretch) the SFX-5 thing is clearly the obvious right answer here (the right answer being BioWare is treating this as ME5 and not ME4)

I think it's pretty clear it is pointing at 4 as a clue that the next game is Mass Effect 4. Not only is 4 the sequel number to follow ME3, and MEA was clearly NOT a sequel...but look to the left of 2. There is no 1 there. Well, Mass Effect 1 is NOT Mass Effect 1. It's Mass Effect. No number. And that is exactly why there is no (1) to the left of that (2).

Furthermore, I think the reason it goes up to 7 is either that they plan to do 4, not 3 games. Or, it's simply for N7...7. And finally, it could mean that there is a trilogy coming, with a new game after that which ties MEA into the end of this trilogy.

During the mission to destroy the Geth fighter network shepard gets uploaded into the Geth, could it be possible that Legion saved a copy of Shepards consciousness into the Geth servers? I have a feeling this could be a "First Contact" between Milky Way species that were not deemed worthy of harvesting by the Reapers.
So the races we've known could be dealing with the races that were supposed to enherit The Citedel after the Reaper War we experienced.
I'm thinking we could see a migration of Council Races depleted by the War and fighting for resources from The Milky Way to Andromeda. And people like "The Benefactor" and the remenants of The Initiative will have a part to play going forward.
what if cerberus were to procure and rebuild some destroyed reapers from the end of ME3? there could be multiple factions repurposing the reaper tech. So you wouldn't be fighting the previous reapers but reprogrammed and mostly repaired ones from ME3. The Geth could also potentially assimilate some they found into their hivemind. Lot of possibilities going down that road, even if it was just some side quest related stuff.

I think Cerberus wanting to come back and build their own Relay network to unknown systems makes total sense and could be a fun story. Especially if they make contact with something the galaxy was better off not running into.

The more and more things get shared the more I can’t wait for the next game. I feel like if they did want to go with a first contact war game it could be like a Reach or ODST situation where it can be a neat spinoff where none of the characters survive in the end
Cereberus has been 2nd place antag for the entire series, be nice if they’re main antag lead by an Illusive Man AI or one of his acolytes in this game, especially with that tease and Reaper tech they’d without doubt salvage.
Cerberus is actually a pretty scary villain because they represent how far humanity can go to get to the top.

They had fast cloning tech as well. Surely the Illusive Man would want a backup and with those eye... implants. There wouldn't be a problem like close shep had if they were the same type of implants.
@@combatmagi1006 If I remember correctly the Illusive Man's eyes weren't implants but the result of coming into contact with a reaper device. I think it was the spike. It was shown in the comic they made detailing his involvement in the first contact war.

I really don't think Cerberus is going to be involved. They were pretty thoroughly dismantled by the end of ME3. I get that they operated in independent cells, but without the Elusive Man and his command cadre, most cells would probably just go dark. Assuming they weren't destroyed during the events of ME3.
Alright hear me out if your theory on Cerberus building a relay that also could mean they can remake Shepard as they did make a clone to try and kill the real shepherd, so this could how we see shepherd again and have our friend liara save you like she did in mass effect 2.

I still strongly believe in the ME theory that the Jardaan were the reapers, and it was they(or a rogue, which might explain the hinted at uprising) that created - from their point of view, artificial life - the Angara.
Or, the leviathans are back - I always thought it was silly that a species capable of traveling anywhere without a mass relay, STAYS in the milky way, right under the reapers, so called, noses.
They can travel, yes. But it's possible they were not superior in other galaxies. They may have found an even greater threat than themselves, inviting their own destruction back home in the milky way. They were obsessed with superiority and control, so it might not have been a risk they were willing to take.

The theory about the next game being a prequel focused on the Relay 314 Incident never made sense to me. I just don't believe Bioware would make a game where our central conflict would be against the Turians. It's also much too small a conflict. The original trilogy pitted us against an ancient foe with the power to destroy all sentient life in the galaxy. Andromeda pitted us against intergalactic Nazis waging a genocidal war in an attempt to breed the perfect race. A misunderstanding over a relay would be anticlimactic.
Love the theory and the involvement of the the relay 314 and as we know mass effect is known to have so many story arcs that lead u to the final confrontation with the main villan and i believe that the reapers the 314 relay, the uncharted space, creberus and Andromeda are all involved here just imagine the size and the content that we could have here and maybe we're looking at the beginning of another trilogy here.

Perhaps the "MR7" is a Moveable Mass Relay which can also Transport itself (possibly even to Andromeda with incredible speed) which Cerberus has been working on in Secret during ME2 and ME3. I mean they managed to Make a whole new Normandy (SR2) within 2 Years without anyone knowing, so who said they couldnt make a Whole Relay ship based on Reaper Tech they gathered in 2-3 Years in Secret? I find this quite intresting and actually quite Possible, the death of the Illusive Man doesnt necessarily mean the Death of the Ceberus or the Projects that they have had.This Theory makes too much sense for me to not be actually included in the new ME...at least some parts.
The use of black and yellow/orange color can be seen throughout mass effect 3 on most buildings, especially the citadel.
And if you look here in the color pallet, there are some deep shades of blue, so clearly, that's a reference to Leviathan, and the reapers are a nickname for leviathan being the new big bad

Has anyone ever theorized with Cerberus backing the Initiative and possibly this new ship/ relay/ weapon thing, that with the Citadel being a Relay to Dark Space (and the possibility of a Dark Citadel which I love the thought of) and the Nexus, an Andromeda Citadel replacement, whether the Nexus itself has some dormant relay tech built in to it and this is how they will bride the two together? Maybe with this relay ship being what can travel between the two galaxies?
They don't come in pairs. Traveling to Ilos didn't need one on the other end. You just ended up stuck if you traveled there, hence why the Protheans had to make one to escape to the citadel. But you are still correct that dark space has a mass relay with the same capacity as the citadel, otherwise the reapers couldn't have used it.

The Citadel is the main mass relay and was used to defeat the Reapers. Moreover, the Reapers built the mass relays and used them.

I would love to see a story where we see the pitfall of what happens now that there are no more Reapers. What if new species grows out of control as they were not stopped by the reapers. I think it could be fascinating.

Relay 314 makes sense. The RGB signal went through all the relays to get around, if 314 isn't active and leads to uncharted space, Reapers being hidden away is entirely a possibility.
And how did the Reapers get into uncharted space?
It could be that it's not an antenna but an unbiblical a walkway at which a spacecraft can dock with move material and personnel from vessel to station and vice versa. The number is probably what a flight controller would tell a pilot of an incoming ship to dock at when giving the pilot the ok to dock. Like Mass Effect 1 the controller tells Joker to dock at docking bay 22.

I always love your videos my friend. I never even thought about the activation of dormant relays. That could be very interesting. I'm trying not to get overly hyped for the next Mass Effect given the state of current AAA development in the industry. Pretty much everything releases broken these days. Mass Effect is my favorite gaming franchise of all time though so it is hard to not be super excited for another one. I just hope that BioWare can truly take their time on this one and blow us away. Crossing all my fingers and toes. One can dream.

Something I´m kind of wondering, if the Mass Relay in the Shanxi system (relay 314) is dormant, how did humanity travel to and from that system, as systems don't usually have multiple mass relays right (besides the region where the Citadel used to reside I believe)? I might be wrong so if so, I apologize for being dumb as it's been a while since the last time I played any of the Mass Effect games.
That's actually not explained as far as I know. I might have been wrong on the part about it being in the same system, but it's probably in another system closeby, which would explain it

I really find the first contact concept interesting for a continuation. Mass Effect 4. And what is a plausible story when picking up the puzzle pieces from both the trilogy and Andromeda. Well, Meeting both friendly species and reapers/leviathan/remnants etc trough a new mass relay.
Given TIM'S propensity for complex planning, I think it realistic that he had a 'backup plan' just in case of failure. No doubt made prior to his full indoctrination. TIM was almost asari-like in his approach to the 'long game'. The possibility of leadership and well hidden, well equipped Cerberus sleeper cells is a probability- in both three Milky Way and Andromeda. Throw in the usual Council race in-fighting and the potential new arms race cause by all the new tech the races would grab and you've got huge story potential. Lots of danger, conflict, and potential for galaxy destruction. All things our lovely Shadow Broker would jump right into...

Despite what people say ME Andromeda was a fun game after the bug fixes. I hope they do in some way connect them games as the Kett alone are as bad as the Reapers since the Kett want to make everyone one of them.
These fan theory episodes are always fun, but personally I will just wait for actual confirmation and not just hints before I let myself get too hyped, lol. Plus based on where we think development is on the game, some of these hints and easter eggs might not be relevant by release. Still fun to speculate though in the mean time.

There’s no Hanger Bay 1… original Mass Effect. ME2 and ME3, the 4th entry in the series leading away from the mass relays into Andromeda, and then 5, 6, and 7 representing a new trilogy of games.

You think maybe Liara is talking about the found footage? That she's talking about that in-construction relay?
I doubt they'll incorporate Andromeda into it. While it's possible for Liara to still be alive 600yr after me3 (when Andromeda takes place), and while Liara was probably the benefactor that funded the Andromeda initiative. It doesn't really align with the date in the teasers. Even if the Andromeda Initiative had quantum entanglement communicators (which they had the tech for in the SR2 so it wouldn't be improbable) it would still be hundreds of years after the date of the time stamp on the surveillance footage.
You should make a video on the possibility that the geth megastructure or the dyson sphere allowing the things inside it to be safe from destroy ending,kinda how shield worlds in halo save things inside them from firing of the rings.
Probably that's how geth got saved after the destroy ending.

Mr H, I gotta ask - and maybe you've done a video on it - what're your thoughts that the dead reaper Liara is climbing is on the same snowy planet as we see Stargazer and Child? I'd also like to throw it out there that whilst I could believe it's Joker, it does also sound like an older Hackett too.
Hmm i honestly just think it's an old man (not Joker) but I could absolutely see him as such if that was meant to be the case. The snowy planet could also be the same Stargazer planet but it's really hard to say since we don't actually see any discernible landmarks except for maybe the dual moons. I actually made a video some time ago about this theory

So do you think that Relay 314 (and other "non-activated" relays) are still intact? If so, the only reason to build another relay so close is if it's mobile and/or can be weaponized.

I heard a theory somewhere that all the reapers didn’t participate in the harvest that some were against harbinger’s plan and though organics and synthetics should have the right to choose their own path if that’s true those reapers could show up in next game 🤔
