Even though the stock has been in a downtrend, Elon deserves that pay... he met the milestones and created the value. He is obviously not your typical CEO, but he is Tesla and without him this will just be.another car company IMO. This is an all hands on deck moment. DON'T get all pissy because of the current stock price. You need to have patience there is still a lot of value to unlock in the company, but we need Elon focused. I never vote on these type of thing but I will be voting for this. And if you are a shareholder you need to step up and vote yes.

Yep I agree and suggested this on another video. It's no different to a hire car, your hire doesn't stop until you meet the requirements of the contract you entered into with the hire company. In the case of robo taxi part of that contract will be to shut all doors.

6500 shares voting yes for EM. No judge should negate the will of the shareholders and no person should have to work for free. EM has effectively worked for free for the past 6 years because this judgement screwed him over. He was already granted the shares based on meeting pie in the sky benchmarks. He earned the comp package and made many shareholders that held the stock, very wealthy. Voting Yes, is making good on a promise.

Matt, I think it is impressive that you are more conservative and are all in on Tesla. I think it's the right move and I am just about all in myself... But I think it's Impressive because Elon seems to thrive on chaos, drama, conflict. I think he actually works best in this type of environment especially when the odds are against him and doubt he can do what he says he can do. Maybe Im wrong but I think of someone who is conservative as favoring stability and order over uncertainty and chaos. Cheers bro and thanks for the work you do on these videos to help inform us

Gets rid of the over supply. They can then increase the price by $5-10k & operate a long waitlist.
Auto door closers are cheap & simple. Most Tokyo taxis have them, it’s peanuts.

Simple, ride and its cost is not complete until the car is made ready to move. Until this the ride charge continues with a warning message via the robotaxi app and audible warning from the car. If this is ignored, a Tesla mobile manned robo taxi unit comes to the car and sorts issues like doors out and then, in addition to minute by minute charges paid by the rider, there is a vehicle call out charge on top. Sorted.

FSD reminds me of the Human DNA Genome Project circa 1998, when it was predicted that it would take another century. Then computer power of CPU's jumped and within 5 circa 2003, it was solved. By 2020, reading of DNA had dropped to 100 dollars for basic, and 1000 dollars for in depth...
I get the FSD thing but why not do both compact and FSD. Some people just want their own car especially in the US. Personally i use ride share but sometime i just want to drive myself. I will always own a car

To cancel / postpone the 25k$ car was mandatory. The reason to do so was NOT the FSD advancements (they helped a lot) but the missing availability of LFP batteries in my opinion. The 25k$ pricing and architecture was based on LFP. These batteries were planned to be delivered by CATL or BYD. You can't successfully sell a low cost EV in the US without the the IRA tax credit of 7500 $. However IRA made CATL or BYD battery imports from China into the US financially obsolete.
Tesla plans to manufacture LFP batteries in Nevada based on CATL licence, now. But ramp up will be slow and insufficient for the 25 k$ car (and is focused on Megapack integration).
I think the India factory will be mainly used for the new model ‘2’

India (and Europe, etc) are not ready for FSD taxis..
At the same time, charging infrastructure is basically non-existent. So there might be a part of that factory dedicated to that as well, plus ofc some battery goodies 👏🏻 But I guess we’ll hear about that soon 🙃

Hi Matt, the door problem that’s a simple issue if we can have automatic closing at and hood the door problem can be fixed simple with sensors to know when something or someone is in the way, and even the external cameras can be used to know when the door is clear of obstruction to to automatic close it. if you can send a rocket to the booster and to reuse it, then they can figure that out.

If you don’t close the door, the meter keeps running. Also, Robotaxi has you phone info, so it can text/email/notify you until you close the door. 😂
What has a bigger take rate. FSD or optional paint color? Does the optional paint color increase performance? Is the optional paint color something other manufacturers don't offer? FSD doesn't automatically mean big profits. You gotta have a market for it.

I realized that the secret to making a million is saving for a better investment. I always tell myself you don't need that new Maserati or that vacation just yet. That mindset helped me make more money investing. For example last year I invested 80k in stocks and made about 246k, but guess what? I put it all back and traded again and now I'm rounding up close to a million.

The pay package that the judge shut down is not done with. Anyone who holds Tesla stock as of April 15, 2024 needs to vote on June 13 to ratify reinstate the original pay package that Elon has earned.

@@franckiewicz0831 my understanding is yes the money will be released to Elon, but there are a few more legal formalities that must be finalized for that to happen which means he will not get money immediately.

Fred from Elektrek is Jaded and cynical towards Elon and Tesla. Fred and his partner Seth see everything at Tesla from the perspective of the glass is half empty. Elon rightfully blocked them on X years ago making Fred more cynical. Sadly Fred and Seth were very successful using their referral codes and won several roadsters. Let’s hope the roadster never sees the light of day 😮 and Elon can have the last laugh 😂
I had a nasty thought today about robotaxis -
How do you prevent them from being used by terrorists or criminals to do damage? Eg - How do you prevent someone from filling it with explosives and sending it off to park somewhere sensitive - or using smart summon?
Will the robotaxis need to be full of sensors to detect explosives (or drugs etc)?

The only FSD obstacle I see that no-one likes to talk about is political. What is Elon's strategy for getting legislation and regulation in place permitting Tesla autonomy to be used?

Robotaxi will probably be able to close its own doors. Model X has had this capability for many years and it works great.
It’s of the utmost importance that every Tesla with hardware 3 or better can be used as Robotaxi. EM has promised that FSD is a way to let your car make money for you as you sleep. Long before the announcement of Robotaxi.
People that suggest doing more than one thing at a time simply don't understand the proven strategy. Decide what the highest priority item is and do it, nothing else. Come on guys this should be obvious.

I am over 6ft tall and I fit fine in the rear of Model 3, when I visited USA a few weeks ago my Uber ride was Model 3 and I sat in the back very comfortably.
I vote for Elon and Trump, even if Trump does have some things to learn about EVs, especially Tesla EVs, even though he does drive one 18 times a day. Mr. Musk should invite him to GigaTexas for the tour.

I had an investor who was once on the Forbes 400 list. Only ventures with extremely high potential payoffs excited him. I expect Elon is the same way and already has lost interest in everything but FSD at Tesla.
Vote for Elon.. if Tesla doesn’t have Elon Tesla doesn’t have innovation. There will be no tech sharing from Elons other companies and Tesla would become just another car company. Many investors did not invest in Tesla just for its cars but for its tech and future projects.

A comment for the algoritm
Big fan of the channel, Tesla and Elon! But on the bonus package... It's ridiculous to give CEOs packages like this in general. Nobody deserves to make 560,000 times the salary of their average employee. That's fucking insanity. It's practices like these that are ruining the economy. If that package was divided up among all Tesla employees, instead of given to the [already richest] man in the world, each person would get around 400k. What's more, those people would actually spend it instead of hoarding it, and it would strengthen the economy.
Elon is heavily invested in Tesla and he's not going to bail because he doesn't get an extra 56 Bill. His goal is to make the world a better place, and to do that, the wealth has to be more evenly distributed.
Admittedly, if any CEO ever deserved recognition for outstanding achievement, it's definitely this one. But maybe we could just thank him and crown him "most contributive human in history."
Elon should just double or nothing this 56B pay package to hit a new target for 2030 that would get tesla to 5T in market

Hey Matt…Do you think people really understand that awarding the CEO stock options on 12% of current outstanding shares is exactly equivalent to all the other shareholders giving away 11% of what they own to him? This perception that stock grants are free somehow still fools the ignorant. A passive shareholder now owns much less of the company. He/she is the one paying him. If people are ok with that, more power to them.
