Originally I applied the Mitchell camouflage cover to my Vietnam War M1 helmet (same as yours, received two weeks ago) but then it looked all loose and wrinkled and sloppy. So I searched how to make it tighter and have it conform as snugly to my helmet as possible. Then I discovered this great video, followed your steps, and now the helmet cover fits as tightly and snugly to my helmet as possible. Thank you so much for making this video. It totally helped. I'll never get over my M1 helmet (as you can tell from my profile photo lol).

On top of that I did the restoration work on that particular helmet shell which happened to be a WWII era McCord.
What is the cover made of and where did you get it?
@BibleEnthusiast8194 It's a original and I got it from Ebay. I think it's cotton and it is a double stamp.
