It's collective challenge If the entire minecraft community places a certain amount of resin blocks, and kill a certain amount of creakings, then everyone gets the skin. They're just adding a new default skin if players are able to collectively do these things in a certian amount of time

They're probably just going to add it to the launcher as a default skin, being included alongside Steve, Alex, and the other default characters.

I think the skin would be a new "model" where the model is animated differently. It's the only thing they can do that players don't already have the power to do themselves.
It could be that the skin the community gets is like the dead mouse one where it's actually got more things to it, like creaking ears or the head is placed more to the left, something that makes it different to the usual character model
