Niche Zero - How To Calibrate Your Grinder

Instructions on how to easily calibrate your Niche Zero Coffee Grinder.
1. Clean your Niche Zero
2. Lightly tighten the bean funnel
3. Align the bezel ring to the calibration mark
4. Turn the bean funnel to your desired setting

I kind of miss the old video. It was so homey.

Meanwhile, despite calibration, my grind setting is below zero and it is still not fine enough. I get out 36g from 18g in 25sec at 9bar. Target is 30sec which requires finer grind size I guess.
Is there a critical limit for the Niche?

It is supposed to be zero micron at the smallest setting. Based on above video, you should "tighten" the funnel gently till it does not move anymore (burrs touching each others), then move the black ring to match small arrow and dot as described in video. of course do NOT power up the Niche is such position as burrs will be damaged. I read also other comment that cleaning up (removing parts) helped solved a too tight product because brand new. Then everything should be fine after 3 to 4 kg of coffee, to season the burrs.
My comment is based on reading comment sections, I should get MY Niche in a week or so :)

@@vinct7023 thanks for your suggestions. In my case it was in fact the cleaning, combined with a loose screw. By that the coffee sticked more and more to the mechanics of the grinder leading to a certain distance of the burrs even in zero position.
Now, as I understood this I’ll keep an eye on tightening the center screw from time to time… and clean the Niche more often 😉
