Foundryside is a series that I feel I don't hear about too often but when I do, people are always giving glowing reviews! Glad to hear your thoughts! 🗝
Its just a really fun time, and I think sometimes we undervalue that quality in books but man is it just a well paced fun ride
Great review (:
🗝 Angela I always appreciate your thoughtful & articulate reviews, especially whole series reviews. I read criminally slowly, so I feel I need to ruthlessly curate my TBR. I’ve dithered over the Founders since before Shorefall’s release, but it’s definitely on my list now, thanks so much ♥️
You did a phenomenal job at describing this book with out giving too much info away. Bravo
🗝 Going to move these up the que
🗝 I reaaally need to read this series! I own book one but haven't had the chance to get to it yet, but your review makes me excited to get to it
Yesss hope you have fun once you do pick them up!
So exciting to hear that you ended up enjoying this entire trilogy!
I am definitely going to do a reread of book 1 and 2 before diving into the finale, but I am not even mad about it, because these books are just a blast to read. Sounds like we have had a very similar reading experience so far, so I have high hopes for book 3!
Thanks for the great review 🤩🗝
I hope you have just as fun a time as I did!!
This was great! I fall into the category of liked but didn’t love the first book, mostly because of the characters, so I really appreciated you talking about that because I was wondering if I should continue or bot
Yea I think the character work is pretty much the same personally so unless you really like the plot and magic the rest might not be for you
Sold on the description of the group dynamic!
I think you will have a BLAST with this series
Fantastic video! 😍👌 I'm just reading Locklands right now and I'm so excited for that ending. ☺️ Have like a 120 pages left and it's intense.
Did you get to the ending?? What do you think?!
I JUST finished Foundryside (book one) yesterday and LOVED it!! It's one of those books that I'll be recommending to people who love The Rose and Rook series.
I was mentioning to a friend the other day how its weird how many venetian fantasy books have cons or heists lol
I just started my reread of Foundryside, can’t wait to binge the rest
Yesssss, have fun!
Hi 👋 like ur review videos!! Happy reading to you!! 🦋🎬📝
Thank you! 🤗
🗝🗝 I am going to pick up book one!
Hope you like it!
before watching: I hope this is just 10 minutes of you saying the word 'yes'
Ha! Exactly my thought too before I started the video.
Guyssss I am trying to make something "useful" 😆
🙃
🔑🗝️ I had been waiting for Locklands to come out before I read Foundryside, so I ended up reading all three last month into the beginning of this month. I really enjoyed them! 4.5 out of 5 stars!!!
Yesss that's about where I am at too!
This is on my audioapp I think! Might try it. :D
I’ll start the third one this week. Just finished Persephone Station about 20 min ago (really liked it), before then was December Park (really like it), so I want to continue the good reads.
Hope you have fun!
Decided to start it last night. Stayed up too late reading of course. Enjoying it. I’m on a mini-vacation now so I’m happy to start my chill time with a good book.
I like how Bennet, Max Gladstone, and even Fonda Lee are pushing the setting boundaries we too often place on Fantasy.
The "modern fantasy" setting does appear to be gaining more popularity. Let's hope we see that more in games and shows.
🗝
I really need to see if my tastes have changed enough to enjoy this series better. When I read it first, it was just good and I forgot to continue. Clef is amazing though.
I think if you like Clef you should see it through to the end!

I’m still sad that I DNFed Shorefall, especially after how much I loved Foundryside. Mostly because I noticed how uninvested I was in the characters once the plot slowed down. Clef (and the way Sancia interacted with the scrivings through him) was the biggest pro for me but I feel like that was the smallest focus in the sequel.
Potential spoiler for the series:
I will say Clef plays a much bigger role in the third book than the second. He is by far one of my favorite parts of the series. Although the third book was missing a different POV that I really missed. But all the decisions made sense to me even when I wanted something else.
@@LiteratureScienceAlliance This is very good to know! Maybe I'll power through book 2 someday so that I can find out how it all ends.

my only pet peeve with this series is the fact that i can’t find the first book in hardcover 😭 🗝
I can find them on amazon for way too much money lol I keep hoping they will print more
🗝🗝🎶
Did you read Eragon? 😶🌫
Yes
