tbh Renault Sport F1 team doesn't have a Renault engine. the chassis name is Renault but the engine is from Infiniti. Infiniti is the engine red bull had a few years back when Vettel was still inside

In light of the recent developments I decided to watch this again. No one can dispute Daniel's greatness. His contribution to formula one racing history is indisputable. Top shelf all the way. 👍

On a serious note, that move to Renault is a massive shock for all of us fans. None of us expected that.
I did, Obviously Red Bull was the most likely in recent weeks but if he was going to leave Red Bull, he was always going to join Renault...only logical option.
forzatoby Ikr. Might be the right path however. Remember 2012 when Hamilton announced he’d move to Mercedes from a top team no one expected it especially from a top team. Maybe he’s trying to do the same

You cant blame him though RedBull is kinda in no mans land for the past years while yes they are the 3rd team and get a win here and there, they didnt close the gap to Ferrari and Merc at all.

@@noahluphenghangmi6078 If the Mercedes engine is still the best next year, then Ricciardo will do wonders at McLaren, i expect him to be on the podium 5 times in 2021. It will be difficult off course, because Vettel will be in Racing Point and that will be the second team. RedBull will fall back down the order like in 2015

Honda can go either way, there is no sign that it's going to be worse at this point. Renault and RB are far from equal.
Naufal Kusumah Honda's PU seems very good at Toro Rosso. Outperforming even outperforming mercedes and ferrari PU's in some instances😅

The Renault engine has actually been very reliable in the works car, just a single issue this season. Looking at the trap speeds from all the races, the honda has made improvements but its still no better than Renault.

RB is betting on Verstappen..... He did right.

F1 is always less supportive of the Aussies cuz they can't bring as much money in
Ricciardo was always going to be 2nd to verstappen and he didn't like that
It's become clear that RB prefers Verstappen over Danny Ric.
Two years later, I'd argue the move hasn't done either driver anything bad. Verstappen now has a team fully centered on him, and Danny Ric is plainly showing himself to be one of the best in the current grid by dragging Renault to solid runs while his replacements at RB haven't been able to come close to replicating his results.
And victory no.8 has been sealed! Just when we all thought he wasn't going to get another one !♥️
Fast forward to 2021 and he STILL has not had boring race wins!

I’m surprised this video hasn’t reached the newer F1 audience, particularly those who know nothing about Daniel’s talent or skills in the right car. He’s moving past his prime, but he’s still one of the best non-champions in the sport

THE best overtaker in the business. And every other driver knows it, so half the battle is won psychologically before Ricciardo even sends it down the inside

Honestly, good move by Danny to move to Renault! He went to an up and coming team with lots of potential and a good teammate as well! I guess he would rather take his chances on Renault rather than a "rebuilding" Red Bull with the new Honda power unit. Good luck Danny Ric and hope we can see you overtake your way to the championship!

Probably Ralf Schumacher at Williams. A couple of wins and thats it.
Nanderlizer Nanderlizer tbh in ricc perspective either RBR or Renault is a big gamble. Sure Renault is slower now but we don't know what will happen with Honda engine as well.
I think it's just an escape from Verstappen and RBRs stagnation. The 2 years at Renault will just be interim until things for 2021 become more clear while also distancing himself from Verstappen thusly allowing himself to be seen in a better light.
Sidz, it doesn't matter. He signed a 2 year contract, and Renault isn't winning championships in those years. After 2020, everybody is out of contract. This is when the big moves will be made. If he stays at Renault after 2020, and they win 4 championships, it'll be a Lewis move.
It's hard to say, I don't think next year, but in two years maybe, just maybe he will be picking up a few wins
