@@phillydelphia8760 alright, since you missed my point ... " Like he wouldn't have thought to do that, while mv sees and understands without another thought" are you even serious? Just search on yt about racing lines in rain, and there are a fuckton of videos by coaches telling you precisely what max seems to "understand without another thought". Now, do you think any of the drivers in the grid, who have been racing since kids, different conditions, different cars, different tracks ... don't understand something as simple as exploring the track for grip? Do they need the cunt-in-chief-with-a-ridiculous-inferiority-complex MV to shrug off one of the most amazing laps in televised history as "meeh, he's just finding the grip". If you believe that's the case, then let's agree to disagree.
@@uninteresting-content-dump well you've just gone and written a whole lot while assuming what I'm thinking.. Very smart. There's a difference between a driver knowing wet weather lines etc and being able to actually do it. MV astutely observes what senna is doing in a very basic (comparatively) car. That by itself, is impressive. In a modern F1 car, its more everyday. However, not everyone is so skilled at the wet weather driving. As we can see from his reaction, you can see its something that would not be his first thought to do in that scenario. Likely because he is aware of his own limitations. No shame in that if it was the case, every driver can improve. But they all have different limits. Apparently taking the outside line in the pissing wet is not something he'd readily do. MV we already know will send it almost anywhere if he's got a gap. It's a different mental approach between to different drivers who are, surprise surprise, on different plains of talent. But if you want to be a dick about it and try to belittle someone with a differing opinion, I will repeat 'that says it all'
@@phillydelphia8760 I'll allow myself to make two more assumptions. You're a new F1 fan. If someone shows you a video they are amazed by, you'd ruin it by stating the obvious. All that video showed me, is that max is insecure. I hope I said it all.

@Davvy Jannes You have any evidence that everyone hated Prost, or are you just saying that because you do? He certainly wasn't loved by everyone, but he was definitely more likable than say, Nelson Piquet.
@Davvy Jannes If you haven't read Senna vs. Prost by Malcolm Folley, I'd recommend it. It gives some nice anecdotes and insight into both Senna and Prost's character and how their careers shaped them both. You may learn quite a bit more about both of them. There's definitely a lot more to both of them than meets the eye.
no, see Ayrton at Portugal 1985! today they wouldn't even have the pace car out in those conditions, the 2nd arrived at over 1 minute (Alboreto on Ferrari), the 3rd and 4th arrived at one lap, the 5th and 6th arrived at 2 laps. There is absolutely nothing today that compares to those races. Add 200 to 400 extra HPs compared to today, no TC, no launch control, no power steering, no carbon fiber breakes, it was another level of driving
South America gave us Maradona and Pele, Fangio and Senna ❤ World will never know what was being from an underdeveloped continent in late 80's/90's, and having people from your place being successful through the world, how this motivated, inpired and made us want to be resilient and hopeful.

Never seen this before. Thank you for posting. Ayrton was a hero to so many and just so likable. #1 in my eyes. Look at the exhaustion trying to lift the trophy at the end. Drivers 20 years ago, Christ they worked hard. No power steering, manual gear box, very poor safety at track side. The conditions they drove in before a red flag was shown is unbelievable. It's so so sad how many drivers had to die before we now have the track side support we have today along with the recognition that the drivers safety comes before the spectators pleasure!!!
That´s awesome. It´s good to see the actual pilots reactions about the Senna. And all they agree with the situations nowadays even against the past decisions. Fantastic!
I’ve always said that the rain shows the best drivers. In the dry everyone can drive on the limit. In the wet only the brave date to ever find the limit.
As the years pass by, Senna's legend only gets bigger and bigger. The fact that he died young and abruptly while still at the top of his game, instead of getting older and fading away from the public view, only contributed to his legendary status. Imagine 200 years from now, he'll probably be celebrated as some kind of greek hero from a distant past.

To quote the op.
@@phillydelphia8760 alright, since you missed my point ...
" Like he wouldn't have thought to do that, while mv sees and understands without another thought"
are you even serious?
