I look so much forward to your videos on Sundays! Usually I make a coffee and just watch and switch off from day to day life a little 🥰 Lancôme Teint idol and Dior face and body are my holy grails 🤩 and I have been eyeing the Fenty skin tint for ages, so I think I’ll treat myself to that and then I’ll have a good solid set of three.
So surpring but boy the combo NYX bare with me + kiko milano insta moisture is the winner. No matter what. Light Coverage from the NYX combined with the beautiful slightly glowy aspect of kiko milano. If people wrap the kiko milano and sell as Pat, people would go bananas. Teint Idole and Luminous silk, I mean chef’s kiss perfection NEVER failed me.
@@ttsandra i feel like Kiko Milano is not a bog thing in the Americas. Such a gem brand in my opinion. I would compare Kiko Milano insta moisture with Dior Forever.
Always love to hear your thoughts on foundations!! I've been loving the Chantecaille Future Skin - I feel like I'm having a great makeup day every time I use it - but I've been debating whether to switch to the Lisa Eldridge foundation when I run out.
Fabulous video ... I am presently wearing Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate which I order from Neiman's - seems difficult to find now - no longer at Sephora. I have loved it for years. I also quite like Dior Forever Skin Glow. On days where I really don't feel like I want to wear much - I will simply wear concealer - I love the Cle de Peau Radiant Corrector - one of the shades is actually my skin tone - it is so natural looking ... and ... thanks to you my friend, the Phyto Cernes Eclat Eye Concealer by Sisley is now also in my lineup. Makeup is such a joy, particularly at this time in a very grim world. I hope that you and your family are safe. 🙏💙💛 Anne
thank you so much, Anne. I don't think Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate is going away anytime soon - I hear great things about the formula and the matching concealer too. I think Neiman's might have stock issues - I see some in stock at Nordstrom!
So I truly can’t let go of my Estée Lauder double wear…I apply super thin layers and set with the nyx dewy mist for a face that will last through a long work day. But now I mix it with Mac face and body or the saie glowy gel to customize. My standby is for sure the nars if I’m not playing a mix master lol. Love how concise your videos are!
My top three foundations include Wander Beauty Powder Foundation, Make Up Forever Reboot Foundation, and the IT Cosmetics Your Skin but Better Foundation. I really want to try the new Make Up Forever HD Skin Foundation when I use these up. 🌸❤️🌸. Happy Sunday, Sandra and everyone! ❤️ I didn't realize we were suppose to set our clocks forward. : ). Thank goodness I didn't have to be anywhere, or I would have been an hour late!
I’m pretty minimalist with foundations. Usually I have two types on the go, but right now I just have two shades of Nars Sheer Glow to adjust for when I self-tan. I didn’t like the sample of the LE foundation so the MUFE probably won’t be for me either. I do want to try the new Charlotte Tilbery but my shade was sold out when I last looked . And I’ll repurchase the Chanel Water Fresh Tint for summer. Have a great week!
Great review....really enjoyed it although I find the Nars tinted moisturiser much more moisturising than the Chantecaille tinted moisturiser, if you have dry skin...
With Spring/Summer approaching I definitely fall into the camp of skin tints/moisturizers and love the NARS and the Hourglass Illusion Hyaluronic. From what everyone is saying about the MUFE (and how skin like it is), think I may pick one up during the sale. Goodness, the Armani cushion is a pet peeve of mine too - it was because of you and Karima that I initially purchased it and have always loved it.
What a great roundup of foundations! I've been very curious about the new MUFE HD and how it would work on combo/oily skin. I've recently pulled out my Lancome Teinte Idole and have been loving it!!!
Thanks for doing this, perfect timing! My favourite foundation is Bobbi Brown Skin Long-Wear Fluid Powder Foundation but many colours, including mine, are disappearing from the website so I think they may be discontinuing it and I'm panicking. Think I'm going to try the Fenty Skin Tint in shade 2 since the Sephora sale is coming, to have something light and easy for summer.
Ugh I hope Bobbi Brown isn’t discontinuing it!! I swear it’s one of their most talked about foundations 😩 it’s honestly so annoying when a holy grail fave gets discontinued or reformulated
@@ttsandra I actually contacted Bobbi Brown and my shade will be back in 2-3 weeks, it is just out of stock. Not sure why they took it off the site entirely, but I will stick with my favourite once it is back!
Would LOVE to see you review the Lisa Eldridge foundation and the new Kosas. I cannot figure out my match in the Lisa Eldridge online. What shade of it would you order? I’m thinking 9 or 11 for me but not sure.
Definitely order a sample pack! That’s what I did - and they’re back in stock now. both 9 and 11 work for me. 9 in the depths of winter and 11 in summer I think.
@@ttsandra oh I’ve been checking so often and they’ve been sold out. I’m happy to hear it’s back in stock! Ordering now! So it sounds like you’ve tried it and loving it or no?
1: Surratt Dew Drops, 2: Westman Atelier, 3: Koh Gen Doh Aqua and Moisture mixed together. Literally, they're the only foundations I have except for a sample of Chanel No. 1 since I just decluttered all my ancient foundations. The Fenty sounds interesting. I'm also thinking about trying the Tarte Maracuja tinted moisturizer. But I keep talking myself out of buying anything else because I tell self: "how many foundations do I need open at one time"?
your collection sounds PERFECT, Andrea! I would ideally love to whittle it down to just 3 killer bases too but I have very little self control so I doubt I can get there lol I may need to declutter some of the oldies too if I can't use them up in time
I also LOVE Fenty and Nars tinted moisturisers/tints but have you tried Erborian BB Cream? It’s perfection for me ❤️ I have recently bought Charlotte Tilbury’s Beautiful Skin foundation but would not recommend it - it’s too shiny, and dry. I am currently having a rosacea breakout :-( and am finding Armani’s Power Fabric to be very good at concealing and staying put all day x
thanks for sharing your thoughts :) i have tried the erborian but none of the colors were good matches - it all turned really pinkish on my skin but the texture and finish were stunning!
Hello Sandra ! Very interesting video! My favorites foundations at the moment are : La Mer soft fluid long wear foundation , Dior capture totale super potent serum foundation and Clé de peau radiant fluid foundation matte . ( I found a very good dupe for the La Mer one . It’s the Rare beauty liquid touch weightless foundation. The finish of this foundation is incredible! ) Thank you ! Have a good evening 💕
This was a very informative and handy guide to foundations that I appreciated very much. Now don't laugh Sandra, but I did not realize the PUR selfie foundation had a doe foot. I went to my stash and low and behold there it was. Felt a little foolish. I like using the Estee Lauder Doublewear when I need it to last. I have a few weddings coming up and this foundation wears well through a long night. I have mature skin and I don't think the MUF HD is for me. There are so many new products coming out and I'm trying to resist.
it's an endless sea of new products - so I am thankful for the little sample giving me the opportunity to truly give the foundation a decent run to decide if i love it enough to buy the full size! double wear's longevity cannot be beat, especially for long events like weddings. I think if you really had to, you could make the MUFE work but it would require some more moisturizing products underneath as it's so thin and quick setting.
I have so many favourite foundations, but unfortunately my most favourites foundations r always discounted. Sadly but I am liking Charlotte Tilbury beautiful skin foundation, so so beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you for this video! This was so informative! I didn’t like the MUFE HD foundation when I tried it maybe 10 years ago but you have me convinced to give it another try!
Loved this video!! I tried the makeup forever and loved it at first but wore soo bad on my skin… now I want to try it again lol 😆 I just purchased the Givenchy Matte… on day 2. So far so good. Also in rotation my Lisa Eldridge, Chanel ultra le teint and Tom ford traceless soft matte .
Give it another chance! I firmly believe that foundation samples should give us at least 3-5 uses so we can gauge performance better. Also the skincare we wear underneath plays such a huge difference it’s half the battle sometimes lol this just happens to work perfectly with my daily routine!
So interesting, I love the Nars tinted moisturizer, but I love the Laura mercier tinted moisturizer also. ( you didn't liked it, remembering from your make up collection tour) I have a Mac foundation in a color that's too dark but I try to juse it up mixed with the too faced born this way foundation and a drop of the Lisa Eldridge elevated skin ( her liquid highlighter) in the rosy shade. That highliter is an exact match for my skin undertone. I suppose my skin is quite rosy, I have a hard time finding good shade matches in foundation. They are often to yellow or brown. I am pale but not that pale, something between light and medium. And I have the feeling when they make rosy shades it is always in the very light options. So I am a mixer of foundations. (Don't judge me🙃)
not judging at ALL - I think mixing is the best and funnest part of being a makeup lover. sometimes the mix ends up being way better than the products alone. I still think about mixing chanel water tint and the pat mcgrath foundation LOL that was such an amazing mix and i used up the water tint so I really miss it now!!
@@ttsandra Love this, yes, I love mixing foundation. ❤ So nice to know you mix also different brands together and discover an even better option for your needs.
I want to try the Em Cosmetics cushion too but so annoyed it has SPF! I just find makeup with SPF to be so inconvenient for people who prefer certain sunscreen ingredients over others due to sensitivity or whatever and SPF just adds an unnecessary barrier to being able to otherwise enjoy a makeup product that’s not supposed to be primary SPF anyway. (Edit: typos 😂)
Ugh I totally get what you mean! It’s also one of my pet peeves when makeup brands use the SPF in their formula as a selling point - most of the time we are not applying half a teaspoon of foundation to our face and necks to ensure proper protection. A separate SPF is always a better option and like you said, we can choose the sunscreen filters that work best for our skin!
I enjoyed Trinny London BFF serum tint but I could not get a decent match which was so frustrating. All pulled very peachy or pink (got 3 different shades so did give it a good go). My perfect match is Dior 1W and simply couldn’t find any shade from Trinny that wouldn’t make me look peach or pink. Such a shame.
Chanel No 1 is next on my list to try but I need to finish at least one bottle of my PMG foundation shades first 😂 that one is my holy grail and I have 3 shades
I personally hated the new HD cuz it was a completely different formula from the first 2 versions. A lot heavier to me and way more matte. Kinda just sat there on the skin. For me nothing beats the Dior Airflash or the Era Face Aerobrush foundation (NOT the era everyday) those 2 look so amazing on the skin and they don’t even look like foundation. If you haven’t tried I highly recommend!
I always love hearing what everyone’s experience is! I didn’t love the two older iterations of the HD foundation because they didn’t wear well on my skin at all. I def think this new version is more oily/combo skin friendly. with a dewy skin prep underneath I’ve seen some dry skins get a nice glowy look out of it - but that can take too much effort which isn’t always warranted for everyday
