Tania, because of you, I purchased the Cle de peau radiant fluid foundation and I seriously have never had anything like it, and I've tried tons....omgoodness this is the most creamy, beautiful foundation I personally have ever used...in my opinion NOTHING compares to it...I can wear it 12 hrs and it seriously still looks so fresh and beautiful on my 45 yr old skin...the price makes me wanna cry lol! but idc! The Chanel foundation is in my top favorites along with la mer and Tom Ford 🥰 they may be pricey but they have my exact matches and undertone 😘

After watching your video I purchased the cle de peau foundation natural (luckily it was on sale) and you were right! It is absolutely amazing!!!!! It holds all day, no need to set it or anything (I don’t really powder the perimeter of my face just the t-zone a little to blur the pores), it doesn’t sink into smile lines (even TF shade and illuminate does that sometimes), it looks natural towards matte but not drying or crusty, just like my skin but better and I love that it’s a medium coverage and I can still see my skin. Thank you for your reviews, it’s def worth every cent and is one of my holy grail foundations now! ❤️🐿

Hi Tania, great review. Make Up Forever is my favorite and the price is reasonable. Once I tried it, I gave my Lisa Eldrige to my daughter. They are both beautiful foundations but the MUF looks "brighter" on me and this old skin can't pass that up! Sephora gave me a couple of samples to take home so I was able to find my perfect shade. I am counting the days for the sale. Thanks for introducing me to this product.

The Makeup Forever HD Skin was a surprise hit for me. I have samples or full size of the CT, Chanel, Kosas, NARS, but was avoiding the MUFE because I have dry skin.. but man, it really is undetectable and the best of all it looks almost exactly the same after ten hours unlike the others that don’t have that kind of staying power.. ultimately working long days the longevity really makes it the HG for me right now, even though I also full sized the CT and NARS previously.. this is the one I will likely reach for most.
I have been reaching for it SO MUCH this summer!! Dare I say more than any other foundation ( except a tint ). It lasts so well in this humidity!!

I got a sample from the Chanel No 1 and I LOVED it so much, the best ever, but then I tried out the L’Oreal skin paradise in light 01, and it felt so so so similar in finish and even in tone! I had enough left of the Chanel to wear them side by side on my face for a day and they were indistinguishable! I’m still tempted to get the Chanel, but for now the L’Oréal is scratching the itch for sure! Would love for you to try the L’Oréal out and test and compare them though! As you’re more familiar with the Chanel, so you’d be able to better tell whether I’m just fooling myself or if I should bite the bullet! Loved this video! Our taste in skin and cheek products aligns flawlessly every time, we share the same favourites and you’re my skintone too, so I really love to see your reviews of new releases! I’d also love to know how some of these new foundations compare to old favourites! I remember you really liking the NARS pure radiant tinted moisturiser in Alaska, I wonder how that compares to some of these skin like fresh base products?
Hey Dory! I never tried the L’oreal one but I am intrigued now!! I may have to pick it up and tey it! The tinted moisturizer from Nars is creamy and more of a natural finish. Absolutely beautiful. The color i have is a bit light but I make it work!!

I bought the MUFE foundation after your video. Frankly speaking I HATED the original HD, so I was worried the new one would be similar, but thankfully it’s completely different in my opinion. I absolutely love it! So happy I gave it a try.

Oh your top 3 are perfection!!! I’m a more normal to combo skin type and was worried to try the Chanel but it’s so pretty on the skin! And the MUFE…..I find myself reaching for it even if I’m staying home…one pump blended out and your skin just looks better!! I actually got the Givenchy this week and the shade is a bit light but it’s very pretty so I will make it work…..
Can you go swap the shade?? I would try to do that! I do the same with the MUFE foundation. One small pump and I am good to go!! So so pretty!!
@@TaniaBWells I live in the Caribbean so I have to order everything online and returning things costs way too much unfortunately. For my birthday I finally bought the La Mer foundation from Sephora and apparently the bottle was mislabeled so the shade was almost a deep shade! Even then Sephora wouldn’t change it as I was unable to ship it back!!

I love the Chanel No.1 most out of the foundations Ive tried recently. The Nars radiant would be my second favourite. I'm 50 with normal/dry skin.

Love the rankings! I've been loving the Nars! I have always been a more radiant foundation gal but considering trying one that's a little more of satin matte for staying power. I work 10+ hours a day and still wear mask so this would be helpful. Have always been afraid to try due to having dry skin. The Givenchy sounds like it may be a possibility.
Same for me! The sephora sale is this Friday. I am dry skin and work in a salon and 2 days it's 10 up 11 hours. The Givenchy sounds like a possibility.

Great video! My top favorites are No 1 de Chanel and the Kosas. I ended up ordering the Yummy Skin primer and foundation during the Beautylish sale this weekend and am looking forward to trying them using your tips on how they work best. Can’t wait to try the primer under other foundations as well. I got a sample of the Make Up Forever yesterday at Sephora in the same shade you used. I was literally applying it while watching this video. Oh my gosh it really is pretty. This was one release I was going to skip and now depending on how it wears today I may have to get it at the Sephora sale. You are so right that it’s pretty right away. Have you tried the DM Yummy Skin primer under this yet? I think it will be a great foundation as the summer hits here in Tampa bec it’s so humid and this is a lot less glowy than the Kosas.

I agree with your Top 2 I LOVE both the Chanel and Makeup Forever they are my GO TO right now and the Kosas is my everyday work foundation because of the way it last and looks through out the day. I work in a factory so that is saying a lot lol

I have never tried that foundation.. and it was because of the packaging..:/
loved the charlotte tilbury foundation and was mixed about the dior forever matte one. I found the dior one applied patchy in areas and had trouble blending in some places. Also it oxidised too much for me (shade 2WO oxidised slightly darker and more orangey during the day, the matching forever concealer does not do this for me and is much truer to the colour). The charlotte one in 5N is a great olive toned foundation and I love the colour and like the formula but do prefer a slightly more matte formula.
Nice to hear all your thoughts about the differences. That is so helpful! I've tried a sample of the make up forever. That is a lovely foundation- sadley the shades are very deep. I tried the lightest one and it was too yellow and dark:-( I have also tried the dior. Oxidised like crazy. I looked like 🍊 I would really like to try the chanel but It is still only available online In my country. I really would like to be able to try it first -it is quite pricey. Maybe I will go with the nars. It looks lovely on you and it has nice light shades😍

I am going to have to get the Chanel No1 everyone keeps putting it as fav! I have a lot of these foundations and you’re right they serve different purposes. Also I mix things a lot too matte? Add a little glowy foundation or primer etc.
Yes!! I mix foundations, primers and make a new finish for a foundation I already have! The Chanel is very skin like and light. It’s an every day foundation for me!
The Chanel No 1 and the Cle de peau fluid natural are also my top 2 foundations ever!!! I actually like the shade match of the Chanel one more on me, but the CdP just works somehow! 😂

I think the O30 would work best for me. I got the O40 last summer but it was still too dark.. so I decided to pick up the O20

I love foundation reviews! I've purchased quite a few off of your recommendation and I have yet to be disappointed. I have a question about the Rose inc. I know you prefer the Chanel over it. I wanted to give it a try but I'm on the fence about the shade match. You said 40 was too light. If you had to pick another shade, would it be 50 or 60?
I would probably pick 60! I haven’t swatched them, but 40 is pretty light..

I can’t put down the givenchy foundation omg. I love the glow formula but i work long hours as nurse it does stay but not as long as the matte foundation. The givenchy matte stayed beautiful in my 12 hours shifts mask on and mask off. Its kind of looks better as the day goes love it.

The Nars is what I hoped the Charlotte would be. I like it with the new Hourglass primer. Too bad because 4N was the perfect shade, and no SPF! I tried the Kosas in 170 and felt it was a little light also. What shade would you get for summer? Really appreciated the application close-ups for comparison. Super helpful 🌸
I think I want to get 190 for the kosas! I want to go in and swatch it though. Kosas shades are weird:) i don’t think the MUFE has a scent, but i’m not home to go swatch it🙈 The CT 4N is one of the best shades for me as well! It also has such a good undertone!!!

I love givenchy glow foundation so much. Omg my skin become radiant, glowy and hydrated as well. It didnt feel sticky liek other expensive foundation. Very light on face and also have medium coverage. I love it so much. Its my holygrail foundation now

Hi Tania, have you tried Chanel Ultra Le Teint? You might really like this as well. It’s such an incredible foundation, lasts a very long time, perfects the skin and is a soft matte.
I did try it a couple months ago and I love it. I did end up purchasing it and I think it’s amazing!

They all look really beautiful on you. Next time I wouldn't do it all in one day. I would stretch it on do one a day, and do it that way. That way your skin wouldn't hurt so much. LOL.

So interesting, for me CT beautiful skin is definitely weightless on skin after it sets and it last on me well.
I heard that from a few people. It also looks so smooth and light on my sister.. not sure why i feel it on the skin to much.. still a beautiful foundation and amazing color the 4N!!
I will eventually pick up the Cle de peau just after hating the original radiant matte version left a sour taste but yeah eventually I will give this one a go ,) Tanya have you tried the Dior Air flash ( been out forever ) I just picked it up and can’t wait to play with it…..I have the LE just have not opened it yet same with the new MUF, and just got in a new shade of the TF shade and illuminate which might be a tad to dark so plan to mix both shades to see how it goes….. I didn’t care for the La Mer fluid, and the Chanel not sure, still deciding my thoughts
My all time favorite foundations are the GA luminous silk, and the PML mainly because it a spot on match for my skin tone
The Dior Airflash is a staple in my collection! I actually still use that in my kit cause it’s so beautiful on the skin!! I tried a sample of the La Mer and i wasn’t blown away either.. But i only tried it once…

Love the ranking. I have the Charlotte T and like it alot. I agree it shows the pores a bit. I believe because of the luminosity. I have the Danessa Myricks and also agree its finicky. 6n is a bit too light and I think I'm gonna return. I've FINALLY ordered the Chanel no.1 today! I had a sample of the Nars...very pretty. I might buy the Givenchy during the sale and hope it works with my dry skin. 🤞 I think during the sale I will try the Hourglass primer just for my t-zone for summer. I also ordered the Jane Iredale beyond matte foundation because I heard it's really not that matte but lasts. Have you tried it? It's not new.
I have tried it and it is beautiful on the skin! It is NOT matte at all, I actually find it luminous! It has very good coverage!!

CT Beautiful skin foundation works the best without any skincare underneath. Trust me. Use magic cream or something like Embroillise cream. For oily skin, I love love love love love CT beautiful skin foundation.
I did try it with just a simple moisturizer and it’s just ok on me.. I have more of a dry skin though! It may work better on oily skin
@@TaniaBWells I live in INDIA and we have summers 10 months a year. CT beautiful skin lasts on me in scorching heat and constant sweat. It’s like a glue on my face. Hm.. they are both stunning! Givenchy can give you more coverage and more perfected look. The MUFE is more skinlike.. Gives you medium coverage but can be built up! Hope this helps!!❤️

Not sure if you’ve tried it yet, but I’ve heard the Shiseido radiant lifting foundation is a dupe for the cle de peau foundation you showed. I’ve never tried either so I can’t speak to it
I tried it and I can see similarities, but the cle de peau is more skin like for me!! I do love the Shiseido one!!
What was the learning curve for you with HD Skin?
I moisturize well under, but now in the summer i find the HD to be the Perfect foundation!! It stays in place so so well!!

I love the YSL All Hours Foundation. They reformulated it and I love it. Also the Dior Forever is a beautiful matte foundation! Those are more full coverage foundations though. Are you looking for a light coverage?

Really? I find a good primer helps a lot! For me the most long lasting ones are the : Lisa Eldridge ( lasts 12+ hours), Dior Matte, Givenchy, Danessa Myricks!
Which primer do u like? For me it makes me. Look wrinkly, textured, both dry and oily any idea what is wrong? Have u always been able to wear foundations for long? And it looked good?

I usually use Sonia G Jumbo base, BK Beauty 101 or Merit Brush!

The CT one doesn't surprise me at all, this was a foundation I decided I wasn't going to get after I saw the first review. I could see its thickness and I wasn't blown away with the finished look.
There are two that I would like to try :
Givenchy Prisme Libre and Kosas Revealer.
Both of these look so pretty (for different reasons) and I think my collection NEEDS them - so it makes total sense for me to buy them, wouldn't you agree 😉?
I can't begin to try to imagine applying 10, or was it 11, foundations in one day! Your skin must feel so raw and dry ... not to mention the damage done to your skin barrier 😱
I prescribe lots and lots of tlc, including nourishing face masks and a good honey based overnight mask. Lashings of hydrating/nourishing essences layered between gentle serums.
