The Chanel water fresh tint is truly magic!! I am almost out of my first one and I will definitely be repurchasing. It’s truly undetectable, and even though it is so sheer, it absolutely evens out my tone and makes my skin look nicer

Hi my favourite foundation base atm is Clinique moisture surge moisturizer in the universe shade, u can have as sheer as u want. The other foundation I'm really getting in is Charlotte Tilbury beautiful skin foundation. I'm not sure how it will go in a Australian summer but I only started using it about 2 months ago. I also love your makeup today ❤❤❤❤❤

Finally bought the Chantecaille Future Skin after looking at it in stores for years. I never bought it because I didn't like using a foundation I had to scoop out with a spatula. I finally succumbed to all the good things I heard about it. Alas, I realized that everytime I wore it, a big hard pimple would appear in 24-48 hours even though I have generally good skin and am way past menopause. With some help from some skincare sleuths on an old style skincare bulletin board, I came to the conclusion that an algae, lamanira saccharina it contains is what is causing the breakouts. Wish I had figured this out when I was still in the window where i could return it. By the way, I liked the finish but I have other sheer to medium coverage foundations I like just as well. Lately, I've been wearing Surratt Dew Drops almost non-stop.

Hello Sandra. My all time favorite foundation is discontinued and it is the Physician formula the healthy foundation.. It does not smell or act weard so I sill use it and I have a backup of it. Otherwise, my top five are : NARS Light reflecting, Shiseido Synchro skin, Dior forever skin glow, Merit stick foundation and my full proof summer in Tuscany 40 celcius degree and up is Erborian BB cream mixed with the Chanel water tint. I have on my wish list the Glossier Strech foundation, Koh gen do aqua foundation, Jane Iredale powder foundation. Voilà! Thank you for the video.

Full disclaimer: I start freelancing for the Mall of America Chanel Fragrance and Beauty Boutique this weekend but I do NOT earn commission so I’m sharing my take on items of which I’ve been trying samples to inform my product knowledge so that I may best help folks.
My favorites (that I’ve tried thus far): 1) ULTRA LE TEINT Ultrawear All-Day Comfort Flawless Finish Foundation (great natural matte finish and long wear on my combo/oily skin, especially on humid summer days or under stress if I sweat).
    2) N°1 DE CHANEL REVITALIZING FOUNDATION (My go-to in fall and winter this past year - light-medium skin-like coverage with a touch of dew.)
I applied to work at Chanel because their foundations are the only ones I’ve found that consistently don’t pool in the pores on my nose. A very specific litmus test but it’s my North Star and I’m just happy to have confidence as a consumer finally!
Your two Chanel pics are on my to-try list and I’m excited to play. ❤

The Chanel water fresh tint is the ONLY foundation I have right now. I love love love it. I don't even want to try anything else at the moment. Interesting tidbit on products for travel. Earlier this summer I flew in Canada a number of times and each time the security person told me that my cream products (like a stick concealer) are considered liquid. I had too many liquids as a result. I asked what changed since I've traveled with solid concealers (and foundations in the past) with no problem. They told me the definition has expanded to "spreadable". No issues with TSA in the US with the same products.

This is such a good video thank you for blessing us with your knowledge! The fenty skin tint is on my wish list for sure. I have bought 3 foundations this year and excited about all of them. I got the dior face and body again, the mufe reboot which I love the feeling of, and the Mac face and body as well. I am on a foundation ban till I finish the super old fenty pro filter hydrating foundation which isn't my favourite but I am determined to say adios to this year. I love to mix my matte ones with a dewy primer so they don't lose their radiance. I am really wanting to get into more skin tints but am content to just work with what I have right now. Oh and the Armani Neo nude is gorgeous as well. That one is probably the one I want to focus on once I finish my fenty.

Thank your for the foundation roundup, so interesting to see different preferences. I am combination as well and during this summer oilier than ever before. My go to's were the Chantecaille anti aging tint for an easy daily look on top of my Hydropeptide sunscreen, for more perfection the KGD Moisture Foundation, CdP Radiant Cream Foundation and Sensai Luminous Sheer tint (amazing). I just reordered my OG / HG KGD Acqua Foundation - this took the spot of the luminous Silk foundation as a "healthy" option without alcohol and perfumes. Come fall, i will reach out to my LaPrairie Foundation, so luxurious and perfecting. My no buy ended and with my small budget until YE I purchased the Prada Foundation.... The color is off (way too light) with LN25 on my light to medium skintone. The undertone leans peachy which is very good. Not so sure I like the finish as everyone is raving about it.... It slips and slides on top of sunscreen. I will have to test it with primers to see how it works. Not giving up just yet, as fall/winter is yet to come and my skin will get lighter eventually. 😂

Thank you for sharing your favorites and your experience with the Prada! LN25 and MN45 were the shades I was trying to decide between. I hope you’re able to get it to work with the right base prep - although it’s frustrating when you get a new foundation and it just doesn’t work on top of your usual routine. It ends up making you reach for it less because it’s fussy! the KGD Acqua has been on my wishlist for years I think once I use up my current bottle of Luminous Silk I will finally buy and try that one

I know you love your high-end foundations (totally get it; I'm dying to try a few!), but you know how it is with parent companies and the formulas between that of said parent companies and the high-end brands... minor tweaks. All that being said, I wanted to recommend you try the L'Oreal Infallible 24Hr. Fresh Wear in the shade 425 Linen. We're pretty much shade twins; I may have slightly more olive to my skin. Light to medium coverage, imo, but buildable, natural finish.
I always recommend people bring their current perfect match foundation from home in their purse to the drugstore, and then compare foundations side by side to get the perfect shade match. I think Linen is your shade regardless. It has been my favourite since it released.
I pump some to the back of my hand and swipe a bit onto forehead first, each cheek, nose and chin, then apply with a dampened sponge (that's also been further squeezed out in a towel) for a more sheer coverage. I often even dilute it 50% with something like a moisturizing "primer" (which is really just a moisturizer- it's handy because it's in a tube). I'm not camp primer for most people; I believe in good skin prep.
You may be a convert, Sandra... ;)

My fav foundation is the Luminous Silk and I'm also a 3.5! Right now I've been mixing it with MUFE HD skin, but I'm actually doing that b/c I don't love the MUFE on its own. Ageing formerly oily now probably normal (summer) to dehydrated skin, like light to maximally medium coverage: spent the summer with Westman Atelier stick and skin tint foundations (depending on weather and occasion), love both and will repurchase, just bought Hourglass veil skin tint and have been using out most days, love, also in collection, old faves Nars Tinted Moisturiser and Laura Mercier oil free TM, but I think they are both trumped by the Hourglass, Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful skin: in the end too makeup-ey, Lisa Eldridge: too full coverage, even with all her sample cards I bought two and neither is ever my shade (mixed race skin with great shade variation between summer and winter), hated Chanel water fresh tint (probably they don't have a shade for me either LOL). How would you say the Chanel water tint compares to any other tinted spf?

There’s no spf in it at all. It’s like a hydrating water-based serum with a pinch of pigment! way more thin and watery in texture

Oh sorry, I meant how it looks on the skin - does it give a different look to what the ULTA MD tinted spf or skinceuticals tinted would give? Very tempted to purchase this but trying to figure out if its different to my collection@@ttsandra

@@Aaizamurad i haven't tried the elta md tinted SPF but compared to skinceuticals tinted physical fusion SPF it gives a bit more of a luminous blurred effect on the skin. theyre really beautiful layered together. the skinceuticals tinted SPF is really neutral and perfect for my skin tone, and then when i do the chanel water fresh tint in "medium" on top it gives a hint of sunkissed warmth to the skin but it still looks like i'm not really wearing anything, just my skin but better!
