The only one missing is Vitalumiere but because of the limited shade range, it's not a formula I would recommend. I appreciate a foundation that doesn’t contain sunscreen. I use Super Goop as a primer and can apply enough to be effective before foundation

My personal daily favorite is the Les Beiges tinted moisturizer. They say it has light reflecting particles; I love that it doesn’t look like you wear foundation but complexion looks so heathy & fresh & even. It’s the only one I finished completely:)) I know I’ll also finish the tint soon
Also the vita lumiere aqua looks beautiful applied on top of the camelia water cream (the one with the sheen)

So helpful! You made it so easy to choose a foundation, I always tend to look for info before I buy my makeup because I have super sensitive skin so this was just what I needed. Thank you so much.
PERSONAL TIP: mixing the water fresh tint with the Le Beiges makes a beaaaaaaautiful mixture! More coverage than the water fresh tint but with a lot of glow and freshness. It's also helps with the shades. I bought the Le Beiges in shade BR12 and now with the pandemics it's a litte dark for me, so the tint makes the perfect mach. I assume that a darker tint would work nice on summer, also. The combo is amazing and it's like a third foundation using what you already got.
Good to know! I’m so disappointed in the water tint. It’s the only Chanel product I regret purchasing. I will try mixing as you suggest.
@@deeford8318 They are both water based so they mix really well... the fresh tint is for a very specific taste, I only use no makeup-makeup so I love it but sometimes I really miss some coverage.

i love ultra le teint . its super long wear and thankfully has no spf . chemical sunscreens like octinoxate irritate my face w continued use and i imagine it might for others as well. for those afraid of too matte: this can be pretty matte when set w powder but skincare that has glow or sheen will soften the matte finish. at the end of the day my skin still looks great w a soft glow. ive even gone back out without redoing my foundation after a long day because it still looks that good.
You did an excellent job describing the various foundations. I started following you because I love Chanel makeup, but Chanel does not show my skin tone love. I can wear everything, but the foundations and bronzers. I would like to know what foundations do their deep complexioned models wear during the runway shows. The new bronzer is still not deep enough for my complexion. Years ago they offered a foundation for me, but discontinued it.
I have been missing Chanel makeup videos 😍 I feel like Chanel had so many launches last year but barely have any this year! It's been good for my wallet thought 😂 but I hope they release something pretty soon!
Chanel foundations are, for my skin type, superior to any other line. I apply the CC Cream all over, then lightly use the Ultra Le Teint Velvet in my t-zone where a little more coverage is required. Not only are these the best color match for me, they somehow enhance my complexion in the most flattering way. I prefer organic, cruelty free cosmetics, but Chanel will probably never go there. It's a guilty concession, but the payoff is superior to all other brands. Maybe one day .......

Was looking for holiday makeup & found your channel. It's been a while since I bought any high end makeup but Chanel is my favorite. The first foundation I bought was the vitalumiere aqua. Loved it. But when the velvet came out I was intrigued. Omg, I fell in love!! Such a beautiful foundation ❤️❤️ Perfect that you really do know what you're talking about. I'm looking to pick up something new so this is extremely helpful. ❤️

My favorite is Sublimage Ultra Le Teint, but Im 50 ish so that may be why! 💜
I also love the water fresh tint because it feels so good on and after you conceal, bronze, blush and powder you have all the coverage you need!💜

Amazing video, Erin! Over the years Chanel has truly perfected their foundation wardrobe offer. They keep perfecting the formulas, expanding the shade range, there is something for everyone, they're very innovative. My favorite of them all is the Les Beiges Water Fresh Tint. No other foundation truly looks undetectible on the skin. I was already impressed with the Les Beiges Moisturizing Tint, but when this came out, it blew my mind. There is nothing like it on the market. Nothing.

Thank you so much! Chanel discontinued my go to 40 beige Vitalumiere and I have not been able to figure out where to go from here. I tried the Giorgio Armani foundation and it's so cakey and dry. I'm ready to go back to Chanel.
I want to try more Chanel foundations, especially the water fresh tint, based on my experience with Le Teint Velvet. So pricey, and there was some trial and error with application…works best with a sponge for me…but it really does look beautiful on the skin, matte without being dry, and stays fresh/perfect until you take it off. Other things I’ve tried from Chanel are ok, but not so impressive to me that I would purchase again.

I bought the Chanel cc cream foundation based on one of your old videos and I am in love! The best foundation I have ever used. Fantastic coverage and glow, rich nourishment and transfer proof! It looks stunning on skin!

I'm in love ❤️ with the Ultra Le Teint - regular, not the "velvet" variation. The "velvet" one seemed to be more powdery and cakey, which I didn't care for. On my combination skin, I find the regular Ultra Le Teint a bit more dewy or moisturizing. I also wear shade B30. I admit I have not tried any of the others, but I don't need to! I've received compliments such as that I look happy or smooth - whatever that means (haha!) But I do have some rosacea and NEVER need or wear blush. The Ultra Le Teint is enough coverage to mask any redness, yet it doesn't look TOO matte or cakey on me. Thank you for such an in-depth review! I was curious about the others, but for now, I'll stick with the beautiful Ultra Le Teint.

Just the other day I was looking into Chanel foundations, this video is coming at the perfect time!! 😍 I was curious if you would recommend Chanel foundations for acne prone skin? I do not have acne anymore but it is very sensitive especially to oils, they usually break me out ☹️
I react to oil, and I have used the CC cream successfully for 10+ years. It is excellent.
I use the water fresh tint and don’t have any issues with it breaking me out. It’s maybe the only foundation that doesn’t break me out actually!
The 2 that I use mainly are the Les beiges and water fresh tint and both are great on my oily acne prone sensitive skin 😊

SPF in makeup is not a reason not to wear SPF. IF you want the best antiaging skincare product in your routine - it should be SPF - for the amount you need to apply for best practice application there is no way using a face base can substitute no matter what the SPF is. Everyone should wear an SPF every day, rain, sun, or cloud. Apart from that I really appreciated the review on all these different foundations in the Chanel line. It was very informative. Thank you.

this is such a great review!! I almost use all chanel makeup (the only other brand i own products from is chantecaille) and i used to loveee the vitalumiere foundation (the square bottle one). I am trying to minimize my makeup items and this review was really super helpful in choosing what’s best for me!! (the CC cream sounds like a winner👍🏻)

Wonderful video, so helpful! I have the Sublimage in the glass bottle, and the 10 shade is a half to full shade deeper than 10 normally is. I mixed in the Water Fresh Tint in Light and that corrected the shade for me. It also diluted the Sublimage a little bit so it didn’t sit on my skin badly.

I went to the Chanel counter a few weeks ago looking for foundation. The associate behind the counter recommended the Les Beiges for me. I could not be happier. I think that it looks better after a few hours than when you first put it on. It does not accentuate my fine lines and wrinkles either!
I just purchased my first chanel makeup product which was the timeless beige double sided longwear lip. Im too lazy to look up the french name. Lol. Omg that lippie is so comfy and so flattering! Next time i go back to macys im gunna pick up another one. Maybe in a pinky nude color. I need to watch ur chanel lipstick video again to figure out what pink i wanna look at.

Could you do a video where you show the new foundations to remplace old ones that aren't produced anymore? For example, I LOVE the Chanel cushion Les Beiges Touche de teint belle mine, but I have no idea what to replace it with for the same result (I felt like I didn't have any foundation and it would "hide" my redness and give a very no make up look vibe)

Ultra Teint velvet is perfect, smooth and the best foundation i have ever had. I don't even mind the alcohol because my skin doesn't mind it.

For daily use i like le teint velvet (powder, natural matte finish) but i love the chanel fragrance ❤

Unfortunately Chanel is still using Octinoxate as SPF in their foundations. They also use talc and alcohol in most. I do love the Water Fresh tint and the ingredients are better but I haven’t decided how to use it with sunscreen yet.

Hi Erin, have you heard anything about the Chanel CC cream being reformulated again? It seems to be out of stock everywhere, which is usually a telltale sign of something changing. 🤔 This is my go-to everyday "foundation", although I do really like the new No. 1.

Hi Erin! Thank you for the video, I have the 2 Matte foundations one in the black bottle and other in the glass bottle. Sorry I suck at the names. Now I know why I Hate the one in the black bottle, it oxidizes and I probably don't shake it enough. I normally don't have any issues with other foundations but this one always looks weird on me. I'm thinking of getting the Les Beige foundation in the glass bottle. Again thank you for testing these foundations for us.
