With the global tournament approaching, Daniel and Johnny work to rebuild their team. But old enemies and new threats stand in the way of victory. - Развлечения
The enemies/rivals tension they had in the movie was so intense that seeing them hang out like friends just feels weird lol. Goes to show that they're great actors.
in fact, they ARE real life friends
They did hate each other during the film they became friends years later
Wow! Method!
They dont hate each other @@Paul-ss8mg
I’m waiting for them to start arguing and square off
This is how I imagine Daniel and Johnny's characters reacting to rewatching this as well.
I wish!
Like Rocky And Apollo in Rocky iv😂
Unlike William, I can hear Johnny say "pussy" and "badass" a lot while watching it.
They age like a fine wine
Today, they look about the same age. However, back in 1984, Ralph looked much younger than William, although in reality he was the older one.
Its weird to think that Ralph is older in Cobra Kai than Pat Morita was in Karate Kid
Yup. He looks like could be his dad. Before his grand dad
@@finckel2682 You could say the same about Ralph and Thomas Ian Griffith, who plays Terry Silver. Terry looked way older than Daniel in KK3, but Ralph is actually older than Thomas
Cobra Kai is everything the Star Wars Sequels should have been. Only bringing back legacy characters when they have a reason and a purpose to the story, treating the originals with respect and reverence without being afraid to critique the characters, but still staying true to the original characters without ever making them feel like different people, introducing the new cast through the old cast and making them equally important, plenty of corny references but only after its had enough original stuff to earn the throwback moments. Not to mention a painfully rare writing competence that current film and television is sorely lacking. Throw in the best television original score in decades and some bloody great stunt coordination, this show has earned it's place in history. Time to go out with a bang.
Well said!
I can't agree more with this comment. It is very true, only if star wars didn't go star woke.
Agree
Amen my friend.
Yep this show is an absolute masterclass 🙌🏻
I love seeing Ralph and Billy react to the OG KK film!
You and Jacob are sexist again women I have video proof
Frrr
These 2 are the DREAM TEAM of the show!

It's so dope to see them together after all these years just chilling being friends. My favorite movie of all time
Best revival tv show ever. Seriously
Seriously, this show has no business being this good lmao.
Absolutely
As a kid watching this scene, I’d cry when Johnny gave Daniel the trophy. That to me was always the most poignant part of the entire story.
Very, very true. That was a huge moment. The journey this movie takes you on, to get to that scene, is a tremendous one. Tons of emotion at that trophy scene. Very special.
Too bad cobra Kai made Johnny bitter 😂
Ok, so I watched this movie as a kid and probably a dozen of times over the decades and watching Ralph and Billy sit and watch this gave me goosebumps. I LOVE that Daniel, Johnny, Chozen, and the bad boy of Karate, Mike Barnes, all end up on the same side. My inner 10-year old is totally nerding out.
Facts me to man i actually know ralph and his whole family personally its crazy how they turned this into a series it was a comedy skit at first with this scene for years
@@KariMirFilmz Ok, so the thing that I LOVE about Cobra Kai isn't just that it's a sequel, it's that they've added so much background information. Johnny's character has really been expanded on. In the Karate Kid, Johnny was just a one-dimensional bully, obsessed with Daniel. We had no idea what his family life was like, and as a 10-year old, it's not something I would have ever thought about. It never occurred to me that Johnny saw Daniel as the bad guy and that John Kreese manipulated Johnny into being a bully and that Terry Silver manipulated John Kreese the same way. This series gives us so much more nuance to these characters we love so much. I'm so happy the Ralph and Billy were happy to reprise their roles in something other than a comedy sketch.
Johnny : he doesn't look bad to me 💀
It's really good to see them talking to each other like normal people without swearing and passive aggressions
*For a second, I thought it was going to be Daniel Larusso and Johnny Lawrence reacting to the first fight because of the thumbnail. I was about to jump up out of my bed, LOL* 😂😂😂💯
Been waiting for this video for 40 years lol
😭
So have i lol!
40 years?! Now I feel so old...
Always laugh how all his friends celebrate with Daniel at end of film.......despite never helping him or sticking up for him in entire film 😂😂😂
Best sensei duo in the valley 🔥🔥🔥 Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence
I thought everything is good between them when Johnny hands Danny his trophy. But in the beginning of Cobra Kai series, it showed Johnny is still having a deep grudge with Danny.
Yeah, I know what you mean. That just never made sense to me why Johnny is so resentful all of a sudden.
Getting myself to watch it wasn’t easy. But man I got so invested in the rekindled rivalry it took me over two weeks to finish the first two seasons. I have no second opinions
what blows my mind is when actors say they haven't watched it. I've watched that seen hundreds of times. It kind of feels like the actors sometimes don't get to feel the magic because they are in the stew as it was being cooked.
I always feel bad for actors because they don't get that "first time" watch as a fan as well...
They should do the watch along of all their scenes from that movie
"It's a piece of pop culture".
You're so right mate.
I can’t believe this was 40 years ago! Until the lockdowns, I never imagined being so invested in this iconic rivalry
Ralph looks and sounds like he's just finished a big joint 🤣
At 0:14, after that take down, I can't help but feel Johnny is thinking "Dang, I sure walked right into that one."
It's been a part of my teen, I still have a movie collection until now, I love to collect 80s movies, it brings back my happy days when I was a teen
❤40 years ago is insane😮
I'm the same age as the movie more or less. Kind of depressing 😂
Cobra Kai has been such a fun show. There has been a lot of poorly assembled 80s nostalgia content cranked out the last few years, but Cobra Kai is an exception. Appreciate the intermittent shout outs to Pat Morita!
Just makes me wish Ghostbusters can take notes from this show
It was actually held in an actual karate tournament. Zabka and Macchio looked all around and Zabka stated to Macchio what the hell are they even doing there.
A reference to the fact everyone else actually practiced karate, but he and Macchio were in a place they did not belong. Deer in the headlights type of stuff.
Still they became icons representing the art to appeal to many people becoming interested in learning karate.
Both of em have weathered well! It was a good kick but the Johnny actor sold that kick, so good.
i love you ralph macchio
Omg no way. This is so cool. It still tickles me that it’s them- like them them when they were younger. Like, they’re reprising their own roles 30+ years later. I’m so happy to be here and am such a fan of the movies and now the show. Can’t ever look at the trilogy the same way- cause I know (we all know) what happens in the future 🥹 ❤
The GOAT Franchise 🥶🔥🐐
William zabka nailed it!! Not in the film. Watching a piece of pop culture.
These guys are living proof that pop culture can prevail in the present
Johny may have had one of the biggest character developments in the history of story telling.
If William Zabka and Dante Basco get together for a project, my reaction would be Johnny and Zuko teaming up
Great film. Classic
I really want a new KK movie with these two 🤞🏻
And here we are the fans, we could watch every Karate Kid movie any sunday and then go watch some Cobra Kai on Netflix, and now there's gonna be a new movie after season 6. Is nice to be part of this truly happy fandom.
Try to be happy being part of the DC or the Star Wars fandom hahaha.
Love you guys so much!!! Thank you for recreating my childhood.
Loved this!
Damn, these guys look good! Love the show so much. I’m going to miss it.
It's so cool to see them watch their younger selves❤❤❤.. legendary movie!&both of them are gorgeous
Can u guys please bring this back to theaters. For the anniversary
Part of our great x generation !!!
Thank you guys.
What about Ralph and Yuji rewatching their characters final fight in Part 2?
Wow time flies! That's so crazy!
ralph❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Bro I can’t unsee that they are playing a character it’s like they are just playing themselves 😂
ralph is 62 guys...62!
william is a little younger but both look superb for their age.
One word...Fantastic!!
One of the best scenes in cinema history.
Just imagine them get the call from tv production saying hey want to do a karate kid tv series also we calling cobra kai and johnny hero and daniel still looks great
Great show great job from the writers and the crew
It still gets to me that johnny didn’t actually hate danny especially how he gave him his props after winning the championship ❤
But how it all started on the show couldn’t keep me from getting invested so easily
I love these guys dynamic❤ it’s always so fun to watch
they both aged so incredibly well wth!!!!!
Macchio! I loved him in Psych
Honestly Part 2 is my favorite. Not only does it up the ante, but the setting, and Miyagi’s struggle definitely is more interesting to watch. Also i love the setting too, and I’m happy it comes back in Cobra Kai.
I like that it was Miyagi’s movie as much as Daniel’s.
I like part 2. It’s just a shame they filmed it in Hawaii instead of Japan.
The musical score in part 2 is phenomenal as well.
Love this. My all time favorite movie.
Daniel and Johnny are like Goku and Piccolo.
I would say Vegeta, they still got their rivalry going like vegeta and Goku but they are now friends and rivals and not enemies. They still compete but they come together when they need each other the most and they co-operate. They still have a bit of a grudge with each other but still they overcome it with their friendship
@@aaravabin.8603make sense, since Trucks and Gohan ended up taking a backseat to their dad's lol
@@oshikuru09 facts, hahaha
@aaravabin.8603 Chozen = Piccolo
It feels like I'm watching WWE Superstars reacting to their matches.
I want to see a interview with them after they did the first movie.
How many interviews are they having oml
Been rewatching this recently and just watched the season 3 finale last night.
Epic.
So many sequels or reboots or whatever are terrible.
I personally bought seasons 1 through 5 on dvd because i love them so much.
I dont normally do something like that. So me doing that speaks volumes to how good this show is
It blows my mind that William was the only teenage actor in the movie and that Ralph is only a few mouths younger then Tomas Ian Griffin but he looks so much younger,
Someone said they both look like Tony Hawk and I can’t unsee it
Incredible
Williams character as Johnny Lawrence is so fking hilarious. He definitely makes this show 10x better. All his comments are so damn funny. The karate kid was all Ralph’s but Cobra Kai is all Johnny Lawrence.
No. Its about theyr union
First seasons he was the main character
@@marilisepassos you definitely got the texting skills of Johnny Lawrence and the English speaking skills of Mr. Miyagi.
Legends!
Loved this its amazing! Goo netflix
Did Ralph Macchio have a growth spurt in his 20's? He is taller than he was in all 3 KK movies, now.
One of the best movies ever made, I need to rewatch it soon. Captures the beauty of California and living in the area that timr. So amazing the locations.
As a SoCal native I wish I lived in the 80’s. I’m 31 actually
Wow over 40 years since Karate Kid . WOW , THEY LOOK GOOD 4 THERE AGE
This is so cool I saw the movie
Awesome 💯🎥🔥🤘🥊🏆
Cobra kai is So much better than it has any right to be these days.. These guys are going against the stream, and is just creating a fantastic tv series.. Most series today should take notes of this, and up their game!! ✊
0:03 to 0:06.. THAT ... punch from Johnny should have been a point in favor of Johnny. Funny how everyone including the writers and the directors and everyone in existence seems to ignore that situation and that point
Guy puts his leg out and you run straight into it😂
daniel stole that championship. nobody thinks that kick to the face was legal. 😄
@@vinsanity40k how do you run right into it face first 😂
I love this movie!!
❤❤❤❤❤William zabka and Ralph macchio
Only problem is Johnny made friends with Daniel right at the end which nobody ever mentions, not even the actors themselves which means cobra kai the series wouldn’t even happen if they actually followed what really happened at the ending seconds of this clip 😄🥋
it makes perfect sense
@@11BscoutNG Nope. Watch the ending. Johnny was clearly happy for Daniel. They literally forced the whole cobra kai series, which I dont mind because its awesome, but they should have done it a far better way to start with.

Iv never heard William or Johnny say that the kick wasn't illegal until now.
Said no it wasn’t legal
@@Ethannewberry47 O. Well it still bugs me that he's says that. It wasn't illegal. The creator of the Karate kid said it himself in an interview
And it was only said no hits to the face in the third movie. Never in the first movie. The kick was legal!!!!
@@Maryweather28-fy8jj yea it wouldn’t make sense being illegal
@@Ethannewberry47 Thank you!

40 years. Wow!
these two look amazing for their age
it makes me so sad that cobra kai is coming to an end, it was my childhood
They seem kind of over it, and who could blame them. They've been making Cobra Kai intensively for six years, since before the pandemic. And they've both carried the legacy and burden of the Karate Kid for decades, too. Now is a good time to say goodbye and walk away, so they can enjoy retirement and all that Netflix money in peace without fans bugging them.
Well after Cobra Kai is over there's gonna be another movie bridging with the Jackie Chan one. They definitely aren't done yet. Plus at this point they choose what they wanna do.
@@metalabsynthI’m really worried about that one. I swear
Those movies will last forever...so well made and always a family theme, like Michael Landon. This stuff stands the rest of time. I'm watching it now...go figure
All people from 80s and 90s are special that's it made by God .
❤40 Years ago OMG !!!
I liked zabka in the Equalizer playing Robert McCall's son😂
That was before the toupee
Certeza Certeza só Coral!
I like Mr Zabka’s acting from before the kick, receiving it and afterwards. Good intensity throughout.
I don’t think that kick would have been as exciting without his intensity.
Real life Ryu and Ken.
Too bad Pat Morita wasn't alive to be apart of Cobra Kai.
Sweep the lick
Bro this is heat 🔥
💯💯💯
Billy Z is still pissed off
Young Johnny looked like Logan Paul
Except William Zabka is actually a nice guy and not a dbag like Logan.
❤️💯
