    You have such busy schedule and I don't hear to complain about it much. It inspires me so much because sometimes I am such a complainer and I don't like that about myself. I feel like I chose this busy life, I have an option to have an easy one, So my a** shouldn't be complaining. I don't even have kids. So you are big inspiration.

      Jenny Le thats great. I was wondering whether a doctor could work part time so it isnt too hard on the family life. Also some specialties may not be that demanding, right?

    • @drjennale

      +honey bunny one of my preceptors (family medicine) owns her own clinic along with 10 other partners and the majority of them work part time. Part time to them is 1 full day and 2 half days of clinic. Those who work full time work 4 days a week. So plenty of time for family.

      Jenny Le my family doctor came to Canada from Russia. She was a nurse in Russia and my doctor came with a 3 year old and her husband. She had to learn English and go to school to be a family practice doctor. She used to run an office with few other doctors, but has since got her own office and she teach at a university. Her oldest daughter sometimes work at reception when's she's not in university, but I haven't seen her lately. The youngest daughter is 13. She goes on vacations a lot and Fridays are her half days. During the week she work till 4pm and weekends off. Her youngest daughter is a musician as in she plays violin and goes to performance.

    I’m new to your channel! I love it! I’m trying to find a video where you talk about you and your husbands’ schedule/who watches the baby when the other one is at work/studying. I’d like to go back to school but I don’t feel comfortable putting my son in daycare or with a babysitter. We also are in the military so we live too far from family to have help. Do you plan to have another baby soon?

    • @drjennale
      @drjennale  5 лет назад +1

      Stan is the rock star and watches Wyatt most of the time when I work. I try to study when wyatt goes to bed or early in the morning. We did put Wyatt in daycare 5 months ago when Stan went back to work and honestly, it’s heartbreaking because I’m not the biggest fan of his daycare. That being said, we all need help. I think finding someone you trust for childcare will be most important.

    What's the biggest difference with ob/gyn capabilities if u go through family medicine first and do the year fellowship or the 5 year obgyn residency?

    • @drjennale
      @drjennale  6 лет назад +1

      +Diana S OBGYN residency is 4 years. Family Medicine is 3 years. And a high risk OB fellowship is 1 years. The only difference is location. Some bigger hospitals won't allow family medicine physicians to deliver babies dude to insurance liability. But I'm the hospital I'm working at, FM physicians can do everything an OB does even surgeries if they done the fellowship

      Rose ŕøśë If you are passionate about medicine, you need to keep doing research and keep asking questions to the people who can guide you the best (academic advisors, credible online websites). It can be confusing, and you may not know what steps to take in the beginning, but keep researching and asking questions! Best of luck.
