My baby girl is almost 2 weeks old and we’re slowly but surely getting the hang of things. I’m glad I stumbled across your video because it shows me that I’m not alone and that I’m doing things the best I can 💜
Love this! Reminds me of how i did it with my kids, now 15 and 11....i think a good routine is key to getting sleep yourself. Waking for day feeds routinely, having light in the day, keeping it quiet/dark at night, not picking her up in the night straight away, not rocking to sleep in arms, using a sound machine, putting them down from awake, always burping them. These techniques help for a calm baby overall. They know the routine and feel secure. I was thinking maybe she woke more than usual in the night u filmed cos the night light was on still to film and it was different for her!
Love how relaxed and happy you are and I’ve seen many moms videos, you seem the most natural and real. Thanks for sharing your day and night schedule. Very helpful and made me feel soo calm and ready to meet my first baby. 🥰
Just want to point something out for first time moms out there, be careful with schedules if you are breastfeeding, a schedule with a newborn can really mess up your supply. At this age, feed on demand always !! Newborns feed A LOT and its totally normal ! Of course everyone does what works for them, but I feel like this should be mentionned ❤ You have a beautiful daughter Nicole, she is the sweetest ❤❤
I couldn't agree with this more! Our western culture seems to be very focused on getting babies on schedules and sleeping through the night asap. Feeding on demand and throughout the night is, of course, great for a sufficient milk supply and a wonderful tool to get baby dialed down and back to sleep!
As a mom I believe you do what’s best for you and your baby. Whether its scheduled feeding or on demand. Whatever is best for you. Don’t let anyone on the internet and that also goes for relatives with unsolicited advice, tell you whats right or wrong.

Love how realistic your videos are & how minimal you are. You don’t buy a ton of over priced, unnecessary items for your baby girl. I’m a first time mom of twin girls, 28 weeks on Friday. So I watch a lot of these videos & so many RUclips moms buy fancy, over priced items that more than likely won’t get used, but it’s just for the looks. you are super real in your videos. I like that. Anyways, your family is beautiful. You can truly see how happy you are to have a little girl and how in love you are with her. It’s beautiful! Take care.
I recently learned that with the haaka the correct use is to start feeding baby on one breast, move them to the next breast and then place the haaka on the breast the baby just fed from. You don't want to use the haaka on the breast before it's been fed from.
Thanks so much for this video. I’m currently 9 days into newborn life with a toddler and I was feeling hopeless and alone there for a bit but this helped me realize I’m not alone and this exhaustion is normal 😊
Im having my first in 7 months. I wake up with so much reality check of the amount of change that will happen, struggling to find the clarity and reassurance and I often try to listen to affirmations and mommy blogs to soothe that anxiety. Your video definitely made me feel more content and at ease, just the way you handled things gave me confidence that I’m capable of this new journey. It reminded me of the joy and sweet in between moments that make the tiresome worth it.
Girlllll I can relate to this comment! I found out I was pregnant in March. I give birth in November and until now it's been nothing but chaos and reality checks. The father wants nothing to do with her and isn't helping. I was too sick to work my 1st trimester. Car stolen. Needed to find a new place to live. NestedBean swaddles are a LIFESAVER. I used one with my first and now with my second who is 2 months. He actually sleeps more than 30 minutes at a time which has been crucial when I have a 2.5 year old to take care of too.
Love this video! I’m a 62 yr. Old grandma (Meme). I raised three and breast fed them…..it is so rewarding. Keep up the good work. Look how organized you are…you’re a pro!

To be moms out there: not all babies are like this. And it was a huge slap in the face for me and I had to release all expectations. It’s not what you see on RUclips and instagram. It’s not always this easy. It’s not always beautiful. Sometimes breastfeeding is hard and it can be heartbreaking. To the moms that don’t struggle with these things, you’re lucky. But some new moms need to know, it is not like this. I struggled so so much the first month because of the expectations and things I saw while I was pregnant. My baby is 3 months now and I’m just now learning his habits and we have a good routine. I still find it hard to do tummy time, etc. we are just surviving at this point. Being new parents is exhausting. I’m so grateful to my husband for the help he gives me! We didn’t get 4-5 hours of sleep until he was around 2 or 2 1/2 months old. This video doesn’t show the crying. It doesn’t show the puking. Also if your baby is colicky, it’s not like this at all!!! My baby was colicky after my milk dried up. We ended up switching his formula and taking him to the chiropractor. He is doing soooo much better now. Also I had every intention of my baby sleeping in the bassinet next to our bed but he is such a loud sleeper and made so much noise. I was waking up with every little sound he made. Also my grandma would have to come watch him for a few hours some days so I could nap!
True that! My baby is almost a month old and my third baby in 3.5yrs... babies can be wildly different from each other and at different times! My baby is currently an 'easy' baby, she feeds between 9-10, and my husband cuddles her and does house jobs until 2/3am when I have her and he goes to sleep (it means guaranteed sleep for both of us each night). As long as she's held she's generally happy! I know that this phase won't last, because babies phases never last in my experience, and that's ok: ride the wave! This video shows a calm baby in an easy phase, great for her mum! My middle child who is now 20m is a cmpa baby, projectile vomiting so often we lost our sanity and the washing was overwhelming and soul destroying. When babies are having a hard time, its a really hard time for the parents too, I'd say to FTM: give yourself the grace you would show a friend, you're baby parents, it's your first time and you can read and watch all the things but it doesn't give you the experiences that your own child will, and you will be an expert on your own child in no time!
Here’s the thing…. I’m sorry that you had a hard time, however this is in fact HER experience with HER baby. There are RUclips channels that show all of the things you described for example kristiana channel has show her baby colic, the fits, the constant crying all day and night ECT her breaking down all of it. And that was Kristy’s experience with that one baby. So much so that she no longer wants another. She has prior children who were just like this baby so she didn’t expect this. The thing is, anyone watching these basing their lives off this already have an issue simply in that. To think that you watching SOMEONE ELSES life will be reminiscent of yours is just insane. But also this is clearly within the first few weeks when MOST babies are like this even colic babies. I get what you are saying but it’s also false. All you have to do is put in colic baby, or sleep regression or whatever you are going through and there in fact is someone on the other side of RUclips that is experiencing it also. But to sit and watch what we deem “an easy baby” and say oh! My life is going to be just like this is just crazy! That’s like someone sitting f and watching me with a night nurse and nanny and saying I’m gonna do that but not incurring the cost of it. It’s not realistic for everyone .
@@ashleycurry8112 oh I thought maybe a man was writing this and I just got mansplained 🤣 Thanks for completely dismissing my situation. I almost didn't survive that first year. I don't need anyone telling me what my expectations should have been. Do you even have kids? Have you ever had PPD?? It is not just this post but almost everything you see about babies on social media, is not realistic. I was seeing it before I had my child. So why would I seek out colicky baby videos. 🙄🙄 Absolutely ridiculous for you to come here and say this to me. Obviously 20 other people feel the same way I do! And I have never seen a channel that is realistic and shows colicky babies. Also my baby was sick for 6 months with colic. Not the first few weeks. You know nothing about my situation. Women need to know it's not all sunshine!!!
@@jennb9730I think the person above this responses point is that you’re being rude to the creator of this video. She isn’t glamorizing anything and isn’t a first time mom either. I don’t know why you feel the need to be so accusatory towards her. Yeah, it’s obviously not realistic for all newborns, but this is HER experience.
I’m so glad I found this!! I am a FTM and my little guy is just over 4 weeks old. Watching this reassured me that we are doing things exactly the same, almost to a T! Currently exhausted but so in love. Funny how similar newborns are ☺️ Aria is so cute! Thank you for this 🩷
Aw my gawd I laughed so much at the end 😂 34 weeks pregnant and a first time mum so it’s fab to see these kind of videos to give myself a bit of an idea of what it’s going to be like 😊
I thought I was evil for feeling exhausted 😭 I get sooo frustrated It brought peace just watching this, knowing I’m not the only one, though your little one is a year + possible by now. Thank you ❤
I am 10 weeks pregnant and I have a 15 month old. I am so nervous for this transition but this video actually helped calm my anxiety about it! I still have time to prepare myself but I will definitely be looking back at these videos in a few months. Thank you Nicole 💞
So dope! I'm 12 weeks pregnant. Due date June 20. I'm assuming we're both have a similar due date. I've been experiencing horrible morning sickness. Wbu?
@@aubreynaarcher8916 Hi! I’m 12 weeks on Thursday. My due date is June 23rd. My morning sickness was horrible during week 6-9 and now it’s only in the morning or if I get hungry. Congrats!!
I’m currently a new mom with a 2 week year old , so far it’s been challenging for me but for her daddy it’s pretty easy for him. Definitely taking all the notes
This is so lovely. I will be a first-time mum in early Dec. Thank you for this. I never had my own mother, and my grandmother passed in my early 20's so I don't have a lot of other women in my life guiding me on what to do or expect!
I nurse #5, my 5 week old, on one side each feeding and sometimes twice on the same side to get the hind milk! He’s not ready to empty both sides yet or maybe my milk supply is good with all the electrolytes and water I drink. I also always nurse my babies to sleep if they want, it’s pretty natural and healthy for them! I also only wake my babies to if I’m too full of milk and neeed to nurse to relieve it. Babies don’t really go on any kind of schedule for a few months as they get used to life outside the womb.
For new mamas out there. This is one way to do it and not the only way. Do what you're comfortable with, but know there's nothing wrong with being as responsive as you want or as you feel your baby needs, cuddling your baby whenever and however they need (you don't have to be business like), and feeding on demand. Don't stress yourself about a schedule unless you want or need one. The cuddles are something you can never get back.
@@Nicolelelagreen yes! And you do it beautifully and make it look easy...even getting thrown up on! I just remember my first weeks with my newborn and being extremely stressed about trying to follow books and schedules and wondering whether or not to wake my baby, want to be sure mamas know it's ok to do what's right in their hearts. Love your content and what you share publicly about you and your beautiful family!
This is suuuuch a good video!!!!! She is so so sweet, my goodness! I have a 3 month old little girl myself (that I’m currently nursing while watching). It is nice to feel validated and not alone in the daily adventure of keeping this little girl fed and happy ♥️
I know you posted this video last week so you might not see this, but if you find that your baby is more comfortable nursing in the football hold you might want to have her checked for torticollis. My son had torticollis when he was born (it’s like a tightness in one side of the neck ) and it made it more difficult for him to nurse on one side as opposed to the other. We found ourselves having to do the football hold a lot. It’s easy to identify and fix so I just thought I would throw it out there in case.
I know this is for Nicole but I wanted to say thanks for commenting. My son has Torticollis and get mad a lot when nursing (my forceful let down doesn’t help but I think it’s also related to the torticollis) so I’m going to try the football hold to see if it makes a difference
Wow thanks for this info, so helpful! She's doing a lot better now so I don't think she has that BUT in case it starts up again I will def have this checked out. Thanks mama
I'm on my son's account .I'm an old lady now but watching you helped me remember alot. You're such a good mom and you have a wonderful family. Thank you
This is SO helpful, I am 17 weeks pregnant with bubba number 1 and its so great to see how actually its not all that scary, I've built it up in my mind a lot. tysm
personalized baby blankets and swaddles are great gifts for baby showers as they are practical, unique, and sentimental. Parents love to receive items that are customized for their baby, and it makes for a thoughtful and memorable gift.
Nicole you are a wonderful mom. So inspiring. Im 6weeks pregnant after 10years of waiting. 🥰 We are believing for a baby girl too. And I’m starting school in two weeks 😭😭imma gonna cry like idk how I can go to school like knowing I’m leaving my baby alone well with my mom and sister but still
What a perfect baby! our first 3 weeks were a nightmare. Cluster feeding, low supply, feeding every hour. I started supplement with formula and life got better.
We’re being induced in about 11 days if we don’t go in naturally, and this has really helped encourage me to know more of what it’s going to be like afterwards. Thank you! 🙏🏻❤️
If there’s no medical reason as to why they are inducing you then you would absolutely go into spontaneous labour. Synthetic oxytocin in which they give to start labour can lead to extra interventions and also intensify your contractions to become unbearable resulting in an epidural.
@@SuperSugarbubble I agree with Hayley but I don’t know the reason and do what you you feel is right for you. You have a choice in every decision and can say no. 💙 Annisa
@@SuperSugarbubble Natural labor can be unbearable too. I had an epidural with all 3 of mine. Thank god. Especially my 3rd baby, I felt like my body was being split in half.

My daughter was having trouble feeding in the evening as well, turns out the muscles in her mouth/face/shoulders were extremely tense causing facial fatigue! Consider going to a lactation consultant to get her checked 🙂 it’s like night and day now! We got her full body massages 3 times and a chiropractor visit!
Thank you for sharing this video - my due date is 1 week away with my first bubba and I know this content is showing the less glamorous side of motherhood but it's still making me so excited!

Can we just say that Nicole is doing great job taking care of the baby but also not forgetting about her son? A lot of parents focus too much on newborn making thier oldern children feel lonely. Nicole shows that the balance can be achieved even if your baby wants all of the attention.

I really enjoyed your video! My baby girl is 4 weeks tomorrow. We have been struggling a bit, especially with our night routine. It's good to know everything we have been experiencing is normal. I'm so getting a glow in dark pacifier and white noise machine!
my baby sleeps at much 2 hours streches and she is almost 6 months jajja your night is heven for me. all babys are diferent and every mom and family have to lern from their babies and whats best for them. It is very exausting but when your baby gives you that little smile after feeding everything worth it. It is also very important to ask form help if you have the oportunity spetialy for naping douring the day. FROM URUGUAY
Sweet video. So similar to how our nights were with our newborn (now 2 month old) except all the gassy problems that made our girl so unhappy and fussy. It was rough, happy to know your not dealing with that. It was hard. Baby sleeping well at night 3-5 hr stretches also made my period come back at 6 weeks hahahaha For anyone who has rough nights, just know that it will pass and although that is not helpful (like hearing people say that to me was not) you will get through it ❤️
Thanks for the super encouraging comment!! Def a good reminder that this won’t last forever. Honestly I feel like a month just flew by so it’ll only be a matter time before she’s fast asleep all night and I’ll be missing our midnight snacks haha
@@Nicolelelagreen we are first time parents and had our baby at home in a birth pool so everything felt like SO MUCH the first few weeks. When I see Mama's who seem to have perfect newborns, postpartum bodies and overall lives I feel sad for all the rest of us who had such a rough go at it all in the begining (I am happy for those women and believe they deserve to be heard where they are) With each stage there will be challanges so hearing from Mama's in each stage is so encouraging. Our girl now goes to bed at midnight and sleeps 7-8 hrs then cluster feeds all day LOL! Just when you think you have a little routine down, it all changes ❤️
Watching this to see how it is for other moms because my first child was an exceptionally difficult newborn, but I really want more children. My first was insanely colicky, clusterfeeding non-stop for hours at a time, high needs but low sleep needs, and wanted to be held at all times initially. We're trying for a second one and I really hope that this one is more average. Maybe we can even implement a schedule this time around instead of just struggling to survive.
Mine is a difficult one too 😭 not colicky but very fussy. Almost a month old and I’m super sleep deprived but love to see his little face and a growing healthy baby makes it all worth it 💖

NestedBean swaddles are a LIFESAVER. I used one with my first and now with my second who is 2 months. He actually sleeps more than 30 minutes at a time which has been crucial when I have a 2.5 year old to take care of too.
This is such an amazing video! I’m 8 months pregnant and this video actually made me feel less stressed! Your family is amazing, lovely kids ❤

@@ashleycurry8112 oh I thought maybe a man was writing this and I just got mansplained 🤣
Thanks for completely dismissing my situation.
@@animalsaroundus2 ok this was ONE YEAR AGO!!! I was not in a good place mentally. Obviously
I’m glad you post the real struggle. So many Instagram girls post the “perfect times” and it’s not always as easy as it seems.

I thought I was evil for feeling exhausted 😭 I get sooo frustrated
It brought peace just watching this, knowing I’m not the only one, though your little one is a year + possible by now. Thank you ❤
I am 10 weeks pregnant and I have a 15 month old.
Definitely taking all the notes
the most realistic night with a newborn i've ever watched. I really enjoyed it
Thanks for sharing! I’m 5 months pregnant and this makes me so excited to meet my baby boy ❤️
This is so lovely. I will be a first-time mum in early Dec. Thank you for this. I never had my own mother, and my grandmother passed in my early 20's so I don't have a lot of other women in my life guiding me on what to do or expect!
I’m in the same boat, new mom no mother or grandma let me know if you want to exchange info!
For sure great reminder! There’s so many ways to do this, this is just what works for our family 🧡
Thank you so much!!
Thank you
Amazing work! I also have a 3 week old right now and our night time routine is not nearly as flawless as this! Great work momma!

33 weeks here
What a perfect baby! our first 3 weeks were a nightmare. Cluster feeding, low supply, feeding every hour. I started supplement with formula and life got better.
You did the right thing
We’re being induced in about 11 days if we don’t go in naturally, and this has really helped encourage me to know more of what it’s going to be like afterwards. Thank you! 🙏🏻❤️
You’re almost there! Take the last few days and weeks to try and relax.
You got this Mama 💙 Annisa

Can we just say that Nicole is doing great job taking care of the baby but also not forgetting about her son? A lot of parents focus too much on newborn making thier oldern children feel lonely. Nicole shows that the balance can be achieved even if your baby wants all of the attention.

I’m 2 weeks PP. Newborn and a toddler also. I’m over here like I can’t wait for that 4 hour stretch. Lol we’re still doing just about every 2 hours 😴😴
Sweet video. So similar to how our nights were with our newborn (now 2 month old) except all the gassy problems that made our girl so unhappy and fussy. It was rough, happy to know your not dealing with that. It was hard. Baby sleeping well at night 3-5 hr stretches also made my period come back at 6 weeks hahahaha
For anyone who has rough nights, just know that it will pass and although that is not helpful (like hearing people say that to me was not) you will get through it ❤️
Thanks for the super encouraging comment!!
She's the most adorable lil shooting star I've ever seen, such a sweet little blessing 💗💗💗💗💗
That last part with her throwing up a little bit on you was hilarious and so realistic haha! But as you said they’re aaalll worth it
Watching this to see how it is for other moms because my first child was an exceptionally difficult newborn, but I really want more children.
