Maserati's also have the sticky button issue. I've heard they're caused by cleaning products which contain all kinds of chemicals which somehow makes these buttons all sticky. Luckily the 1st owner on my Maserati always used water on a microfiber cloth to clean around any button so no stickiness here
i have an alfa romeo, and some things go wrong not unlike these problems. But i except them because it's an italian car. It should say "not today" when you role up your window or disconnect your phone for no good reason and not play all songs you put on a usb stick in the car. It has an own mind and i love it for it.
Hi, this is a great video! I also like your other one, explaining why you like your F430. One question: have you ever driven a 458 Spider? Would you prefer the 458 over the F430?
Good video covering those nagging items. I can see how the folding top issue could be embarrassing if you're trying to put the top down while others are admiring your car and you have to shake the top by hand. Lol. Also too bad the rear window is plastic. They shoulda made it outta glass in such a nice car.
6 ) The tail light mounting brackets crack, leaving the tail lights loose. 350 dollars a tail light. 7 ) The red paint on the intake manifold starts to chip off. 8 ) The motor mounts break easy.
Thought it would be just another clickbait video with things like ''I don't like the looks of the gas pedal'', but these are some legit issues. Good video :)
Hey man, I'm also from New England. My dad is thinking of buying an F430 (gated 6 speed). Going to look at it next week in NJ. Any advice on things to look for?
Speedaholics make sure he gets a Pre Purchase Inspection (PPI) done and it needs to be someone not connected to the seller. Also the factory headers are known to fail just google it. If they weren't replaced with aftermarket ones you might be able to talk down the cost. If the factory headers fail it could mean catastrophic engine failure. Also check for gooey buttons in the interior because that can get expensive to fix or replace them too
Yes we have a PPI scheduled with a 3rd party. Thanks for the heads-up on the headers, we'll ask them about that. As for the service that it's supposed to get every 3 years, is that necessary? I've heard conflicting things in the forums as to how often it needs to happen. The car only has 8k miles
Speedaholics that's a very good question the F430s are known to be very reliable cars. We've only had to do normal oil changes and reset the F1 system once but that's cheap stuff to service and now our car needs brakes
TheMister Mann nothing to be worried about since most owners most likely already had the factory MKII headers installed or aftermarket ones were installed. If not you have a good bargaining point on the car you are looking to purchase
Ok be careful going over bumps, get headers, do your tug job, LOL, wear gloves when you open or close the windows, why are you down in the carpet when you should be driving the car is beyond me, or are you just the detailer who does not own the car and just hate when you have to vacuum. LOL Seriously, great videos, I am a subscriber now.
I've got a 2006 F430 coupe that I've had for over 3 years now. I'd like to compare my experience of ownership to yours. 1. The low front is actually higher than my Peugeot 407 Estate. 2. If you are buying second hand make sure you have the Mk2 manifolds. 3. I've got a coupe 4. Sticky switches are an issue on all Ferraris, not just the F430 5. Floor mats.... Really dude?
You pay all that money for planned problems that this company knows about. Again garbage parts. AND WE ALL ALLOW THEM TO GET AWAY WITH. there should be penalties.
i mean... you can drop it off at my house
Hahaha i was thinking the same thing

Andy, can you do an update on the top speed headers performance? Heat, sound, mechanical issues you encountered. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the info
Hi, this is a great video! I also like your other one, explaining why you like your F430. One question: have you ever driven a 458 Spider? Would you prefer the 458 over the F430?
The floor mat hooks and sticky buttons are an issue in the 360 as well.

Saw you on 213 yesterday,The car sounds and looks really good.
Thanks!

Ok thanks. And one last question, what were the recalls for? Was it related to the header failure?
Speedaholics the only recall im aware of was in the spider. The top hydraulics line was leaking causing fires.
The top shake was a good move
Lol
You forgot to mention the 6th reason......Porsche 911 :DDD
Some quality issues are common for all italian cars.
Ferrari is not an exception in this regard.
Should I buy a 458 or California?
458
Let’s trade for my KIA then dude because I have 5000 things that I love about the Ferrari Spyder 👍🏼
Ok... I subscribed because you and your NE accent are funny s shit...good content also.. keep it up, eh?
glad you enjoy listening to us speak about the cahs. Thanks for the sub!
Guy on you tube put 1k headers on and wrapped them himself sounds awsome
Daniel H's 430?
I was looking for a 430 but now you've got me worried about the headers! :-((
TheMister Mann nothing to be worried about since most owners most likely already had the factory MKII headers installed or aftermarket ones were installed. If not you have a good bargaining point on the car you are looking to purchase
Is headers the exaust???
@@ferro706 Headers .. the name in the U.S. and in U.K. known as the manifold, which connectes the exhaust to the engine.
Ok be careful going over bumps, get headers, do your tug job, LOL, wear gloves when you open or close the windows, why are you down in the carpet when you should be driving the car is beyond me, or are you just the detailer who does not own the car and just hate when you have to vacuum. LOL

EVERY folding top needs lubrication.
people should have your problems
Are you Greek?
Niko Giannopoulos No he’s Persian
Just buy a reliable Porsche...
my "reliable" 2009 Carrera 2S with only 35k miles needed 2 engine rebuilds for score cylinders 4-5-6 in 12 months @ £8k each
you mean the poor mans Ferrari, no thank you, I don't like VW
You pay all that money for planned problems that this company knows about. Again garbage parts. AND WE ALL ALLOW THEM TO GET AWAY WITH. there should be penalties.
Everything you whined about is literally fixable with just a few thousand lol... maybe don't be broke when you buy a Ferrari and you'll be fine?
You have Australian accent.
