Appreciate the Review. I haven't skated since the Skate Key, in the 80s. Went on a time machine ride, with my daughter, watching soul train and skate videos. She ended up getting the bug and had me teach her. Been going to the rink, for the past 3 weekends and got us both some skates. I couldn't find any Riedells in men's size 12. In fact, the only size 12s that are available and that I fell in love with are the Godfathers. Didn't want that beauty to be my first skate, in all these years. They're expensive. The only skate in my size, that also had an aluminum plate, were suede/leather and affordable, were these. They actually look pretty dope. I was worried about the back and how that would look but I can always grab a gold pen and graf on it or something. They're coming on Tue, so I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get there. Thanks

See, I think as long it's all black, it's a "men's" skate. That's why in my mind, I'm fine with the black Impalas. But I still would love to be bold enough to wear like red, green, or orange. But I feel like I'm being judged all the time.

I think they were Lollies, to go with the December release of Fundae no whip wheels. Anyway, she was saying the jade boot she was showing was her ex's boot, that he sent back. So like I said, I wish I could just be bold enough as other guys, and wear whatever color I like, other than black, with out the fear of judgment from others. I know it's all in my mind. But even with the black, I had that one comment from a neighborhood Kevin... why do we let it affect us? Like I said, I just need to forget about it and put on the glitziest thing I can find and give 0 Fs about it and have a blast!!!

Good question! Mine are an 8. I wear a women's 9 and I still have a little wiggle room in them. It really depends on how tight you want them to fit. Sometimes, I wonder if I should have sized down. I have a women's 8 in the Candi Girl Carlin and they are my most recent go-to skates because I like the snug fit. Also, I have bought the same skate in the same size and the actual sizing was different. So best-case scenario; if you can, order both sizes and send one back. I hope that helps.
If you’re in between sizes go up to the next size. The size 7 would most likely fit you better. I’m an 8.5 and ordered size 7 (women’s 8) and had to send them back. I went up to size 8 (women’s 9) and they fit perfect. I love these skates. I’m so glad I got them. I bought them “used” on Amazon and only the box was damaged but the skates are brand new and in excellent condition.
Just ordered the candi girl Carlin light blue and Burgundy. Then I saw these drifter.. Yes I will definitely be ordering these after my other pair comes and I see how they size up and feel. They are hott... What size did you get? Was it close to your actual size?

I absolutely love these skates.Just Beautiful.. I also love all black skates. So they are a little tight in the toe box but I will do exactly what you said to do and press down on them. I ordered a size 9 and I like a 10 in women's for comfort. My Candy girl carlin will be coming on March 2nd. I ordered a size 10 for those. Hope they fit.. Now I can send these stupid Chicago men's skates back to Amazon..lol. Thanks so much for the great review. I got these because of you.👍 44 year's old and back on skates. Wish me luck

I really want to buy these, but then I'm worried about replacing wheels when they wear out. Does the wheel have to be the same? or can we replace it with any type of wheel.
Wheels on skates are easily interchangeable. So, that is nothing for you to worry about. You can't replace them with "any" type of wheel, but as long as they are quad skates wheels, the possibilities are pretty much endless😊
Hi Jenna, If I wore a 10 shoe would get a 9 and hope for the best. I think that should work out though.😁 I wear a 9 in women's shoes and the 8 fits me nicely. I have wide feet too, so I had to spread the toebox out manually and loosen the laces, but I think that did the trick.

I bought my daughter black suede evolve crazy skates and she LOVES them. I bought a half size too big and she has slender feet so we bought shearling insoles for $10 from amazon and now it fits perfectly. I also bought shearling long scraps from someone to fit on my skate tongues. I have them on 1 pair of skates and love them

That's a great question. I can't really figure it out because 22cm seems to be off the chart, or rather in the boys sizes. These are advertised as men's, so I don't know if you can get them small enough. I'm sorry I can't help.😞

Yeah, that's not right! The problem is, is the black are the only solid color Impalas besides the voltage green ones (lol).
