@@jaimedelgado7529 UV has been shown to stress cannabis into producing more resin and cannabinoids, however I don't think it should be incorporated into a fixture. This should be done at the growers discretion with additional fixtures. An ideal light would apply the maximum amount of photons possible (with a good spectrum) to drive photosynthesis as much as possible and not create any additional stresses. Most growers will already have a hard enough time trying to harness the light these vertical fixtures give off without their plants experiencing stress.
@@rustinpeace7466 that's your opinion and I respect it. although I have a different philosophy. I'm quite practical. why buy two seperate fixtures when u can get one that does both jobs? if I want I can cover up my uv diodes. it doesn't hurt my utility bill that much. since u know your lights could u recommend a cheap uv supplementation fixture like you're speaking of so I can have a look at specs/ price? cheers man
@@jaimedelgado7529 if I were to go with UV LEDs I would probably choose the horticulture lighting group UVA supplement bar. Hey, great review! Been following your stuff for a while now and always enjoy the videos. The instructions aren't super clear about max fixtures. The real number is closer to 500 per channel with using the E-Series Adapter as you are ;) I ran into the same deal with finding a place to mount the adapter. In vertical racks, those tabs on top are easy mounting points above the fixture. Otherwise in my tent I just place it on top of the center driver housing and use a couple of long zip ties to wrap around both. Hope you have a chance to test it out in a garden!

MRKWA you must not have noticed yet that any and all Shane’s reviews are slightly lower than most manufacturers specified data. This is mainly because any “good” company gets an outside study done in a sphere for the testing of ppfd, par, and efficacy. Flat bottom of a tent gives a great basic idea of how the lights perform but without the sphere no one can get the higher result. Bottom line whether it’s a MIGRO fixture or a budget fixture or a mid or high end fixture they are all getting better and better. Quality still has a price though and that’s what people seem to look past.

Go with how your plants look and adjust them, there’s no telling really just see how the plants like it I guess
It literally says 5x5 per light for flower
Great job as always 👏.. thanks man !!!

Nice , I'm excited for you to review that photontek 465w, I'm considering buying 2 for my 4x8 tent but will wait until you make your review ! Thanks !

How often do they have to be replaced
Can you test the pacific light concepts 16 strip photoboost.
Having issues could you please let me know if you connecting cord is rj9 to rj45? Can’t find the cable from master controller to adapter any help would be appreciated and yes I’ve contacted GAVITA no response
Same what's up
Do you need the adapter to daisy chain two fixtures together?
To control them and dim them yes. They do not daisy chain any other way. It is not from the power cord. It’s like an old telephone cable
Phone cable on controller is smaller than the plug for the e series adapter phone cable? Not plug and play do I need something else
Witch is better gavita or fluence spydr
please do a top of the pops style rundown of the best to worst please
Do the OpticLED Slim 650s 😃
How does it compare to gavita de 1000watt?
Very good test as usual, on this channel (y). But, i would like to ask, if you are going to test the "new" Lumatek ATTIS - better 300W version maybe... Thx and keep making tests like this, its very useful! :)
Plenty of other good LED's out there for much cheaper. Let's skip the Gavita (aka Hawthorne) and support better companies.
am I seeing right? no uv ? 2:28
that's unacceptable
However I've heard UV LEDs are not very long-lived so I would more than likely choose a fluorescent fixture with UV bulbs. From what I understand you don't need a lot of wattage to get the desired effects.
@@jaimedelgado7529 uv leds have extreme short lifespan
Hey, great review! Been following your stuff for a while now and always enjoy the videos.
The instructions aren't super clear about max fixtures. The real number is closer to 500 per channel with using the E-Series Adapter as you are ;)
I ran into the same deal with finding a place to mount the adapter. In vertical racks, those tabs on top are easy mounting points above the fixture. Otherwise in my tent I just place it on top of the center driver housing and use a couple of long zip ties to wrap around both.
Hope you have a chance to test it out in a garden!
Will that migro light be good for a 2x3 or better for a 4x4?
1.5m X 1.5m
Oh mate Michigan Cody saw your name after I commented. Recently acquired a Gavita 1700e. Been looking through your vids dude.
Jonathan Southward oh wow thanks. After watching my videos I need to get a better camera. Picture quality sucks but love the Gavita 1700e puts out great spectrum and had a good first run ever with it.
So what is the hours life span expectation of the Gavita 1700e LED's?
100,000 hours

Could you do a Test of the New Mars Hydro FC Series ?
They ain't out in Europe as of yet.. October so they reckon. I msgd mars Hydro lol.
Yes please I thinking about buying mars hydro fc 4800
@@phillroberts7798 Thanks, good to know that. I just saw one American Guy unboxing the FC 4800, so i thought they would be available here by now, too.
Don't get me wrong. We can have them shipped from China. But you might as well double the price. Its like £300 for shipping. I seen them also and wanted one. Was very disappointed when I found out they ain't here until October..
so if you want the controller you also have to buy the adapter?
man than the price of 4 hlg diablo boards pls tell me whos bankrolling ya
Would love to see you test Optic LED Slim 600.

looking forward to that vipar xs review
Id like to see you do the review of the Sonlipo SPL 2000 or 3000.
Its a bar light samsung 301lmb . The 3000 looks to smash a 5×5. Got a built in timer dimmer and veg and flower dimmer. 269$ for the 2000 or 349 for SPL 3000..
Or the sideking replica of the 6 bar ROI.
Is the Controller included with the Light?
No
Great video thanks! I’ve always wondered about those unique heatsinks on the gavita
compair this to the lux 645 led pro two less bars and higher output from what ive seen
This is a great light but heavy on the wallet. I cant wait to get my new array light in I'm gonna put your light to the ultimate yield test hopefully I can go from .73 gpw to over a gram per watt.
I’ve seen people do 2g/watt al day long with this light! How’d it do on your test?
@@realife4104 terrible I have ran 3 runs of the same strain 3 times and the results are less that a 175w fiet light from home depot. Buy a Mars sp 3000 for the same price you will be doing way better with that then this piece of junk
@@closettotable9253 that’s disappointing lol I’ve had this sitting in my cart for like 2 weeks trying to decide… it was between this, a Mars 3000, and the SF4000 anyway though. Thanks for the heads up
If you can afford it buy a spider farmer I have a friend that has 1 and he is harvesting bat sized nugs
@@closettotable9253 what lol
The wonderful rided light give such a bad yield?
Thats true?
What array 2 , 3 or 4?
We all wanna see the geekbeast pro test shane :/
Have you or will you be reviewing the 2000e version? Seems not real world info on these units🤷♂️
Hi,
I'm not sure if Shane has been contacted to review the 2000e version.
Thanks,
@@MIGROLIGHT maybe one day🤷♂️
Better than the Zeus 600 pro?
Certainly not on price. Would much rather the Zeus pro or 2 Attis 300w
Have you seen the mars fc4800 looks very promising.
I think spider farmer is better than mars
i think gavita missed a trick the size of the box it comes in and you cant take it apart the lumatek i think is much better great work witht he video
2.4 "class leading". what about lumatek with 2.7 ??
MRKWA you must not have noticed yet that any and all Shane’s reviews are slightly lower than most manufacturers specified data. This is mainly because any “good” company gets an outside study done in a sphere for the testing of ppfd, par, and efficacy. Flat bottom of a tent gives a great basic idea of how the lights perform but without the sphere no one can get the higher result. Bottom line whether it’s a MIGRO fixture or a budget fixture or a mid or high end fixture they are all getting better and better. Quality still has a price though and that’s what people seem to look past.
I just don't understand know why people prefer 1000w hps? coz it's much cheaper?
Only thing that I don’t like is that you have to buy those controller adapters for every led of you wanna use any type of master controller
Please do the spider farmer sf4000!! Thanks Shane!
looks like a 4000k white with some red ? would anyone agree?
