After reading other reviews, several years ago, I used a small Dremel to make a small passage between the windshield and the top of dash, on my Limited so the antenna wire doesn't get pinched and mounted the antenna opposite the vent button on top of dashboard. The reception is much better, and the antenna looks as though it belongs there. Mounting the antenna inside of the fairing is asking for reception interference.
Hey Roger. That is a great idea and exactly what I did on my Street Glide. Hoping I don't have to do that on my this motorcycle, but time will tell. Thank you very much for watching today!
Nice video, Ty! For me, I've already got SXM in my car, truck and RV. Arguably, it would be nicer built in to the bike, for sure, but I just stream off the app instead. It works great, and at no extra cost.
Hey Dave. No doubt. The app works great. I use it all the time when I am working. I just enjoy the option of not having to use my phone for music when on the bike. Have a great day sir.
I love XM Radio. Listen to it in the semi, since retiring I listen to it in the garage. I got a lifetime subscription many years ago. My favorite channels are the blues Channel, Bluegrass Channel and the Christian channels. Used to listen to the trucker's channel before I retired. I used to listen to the old-time radio shows on classic Radio. Ride safe.
I have to work in the office twice a week and when I go in the first thing I do is put my ear buds in and start my SiriusXM app. Music and podcasts all day long! Thanks for watching Kerry!
This day and age with the price of this bike, this should be included. HD's wireless headset upgrade should be included too. Even then, you have to buy their headset, and if you want good speakers for it, they're extra and way overpriced. On top of it all, plenty of reviewers are very unhappy with it.
Hey Mark. I have heard many people say that same thing too. So far the product works well but it is an added expense so that stinks. Thank you very much for watching sir.
🛑🛑 Good Install Ty. 😀👍 I have Sirius on my CVO Ultra Limited. I like that I can listen to my favorite channels, while roaming the hills and valleys of Pennsylvania uninterrupted. 💯 Classic Vinyl, and Classic Rewind are my choices; however I may be “dating” myself. 😂👍 Easy Install. Great Results. 😀👍💯
Love that your to the point and direct. Not 15 mins of fluf and stuff. 2 questions, 1- can I just take my old xm module (still activated) and re-install on my new bike? 2nd What can you tell me about adding a CB radio module to the 120 anniv road glide?
I appreciate your comment very much! Thank you. For your first question, Yes, I think you can, but I would check with your local dealership to make sure. I have no idea about your second question. I haven't ever done anything with a CB radio. Thank you very much for your time!!
Ya Know what Sir, GREAT Video! No intro, no mention of all your riding experience, and no long explanation of all the little details everyone already knows. Simple, Right to the Point, and Good information. One Question - how much was the Moduial? Nick in Arizona
Thank you very much! I appreciate the kind words. Here is a link to the H-D website for the module. I hope it is helpful. SiriusXM Satellite Radio Kit - bityl.co/Hd1s
Thanks for sharing Ty. This is honestly worth it to have XM, but you would think on some specialty models(cvo and anniversary) it would be standard. Been using my xm app lately.
I think H-D used to offer this on the CVO models, but stopped a while back. I listen to XM constantly so it's a good thing for me. Thanks for watching Jason!
@Ty From Tennessee the last one I installed was with a pro installer helping me, and it was a 2-week old Civic... we had the seats, dash, and center console all out of the car, lol!
Ty did XM send you all your Components for your bike or did you have to buy it though other Source, Also my next question is is that I used to have XM in our car? My wife's car and there'll be spots where it would shut off. Are you gonna have that problem on your motorcycle like if you're up here towards me and write in the dragon? Certain places where there is a lot of trees and different places that is a good question. I'd really like to know if you might have that issue. Because I stream everything off my phone straight to my headset on my motorcycle and I lose signal on my phone. I have Verizon 1/2 the time I can't even listen to music so I've come to the point where I just put all my music on a. Flash drive and I just plug it right into my phone so that way I don't have to have this issue but I've always thought about having XM. On my motorcycle but wasn't sure if it was gonna be spotty or not.
Hey Jeff. I bought this myself. I purchased it through my local H-D dealership. Yeah, when I'm out and about on some back roads I'll lose signal just like I would with my phone, but for the most part it works great 99% of the time, at least it did on my Street Glide. I hope that helps and thank you very much for watching!
I was wondering why you didn't use your phone and apple car play on the XM apps and save $425 bucks I called Sirius XM they said just use your phone $71 a year have the same 23 road glide anniversary Sweet.
That is most certainly one option if you don’t mind using your phone. I would rather use my handlebar controls and store my phone in the inner fairing. Just seems safer to me but it really all boils down to personal preference. Thank you for watching. I appreciate your time.
That is one option for sure. I enjoy being able control the radio from the motorcycle so that I don't have to worry about being distracted by my phone. I say do whatever works for you! Thanks Ozzie!
I think if you have the Apple car play you can control it from factory controls. I think I will go with the phone option so I can use it in my truck as well.
Check out this video next! ruclips.net/video/9PrRxQwTRKA/видео.html
I have SiriusXM on my phone, and bluetooth it to my bike. Love listening to Classic Vinyl.
No doubt. That’s a great station too. My favorite is Turbo (41).
I do the same but can’t change the stations threw the bike controls ? Any ideas

That’s the way I use it to. I might still buy an antenna for the bike just for ease of use though.
How much is it a month if you already pay for it in other vehicles?

I’m too frugal to pay for music. 😂 It is a nice upgrade though. Good work on the installation and instructions.
Thanks Pete! Just think you wouldn't have to change the station on your whole trip to Alaska!

Very cool, I like to use my iPod. Spotify is not the best. But not to bad. I have near 800 songs so far. Always adding more.
Hey Ray! I'm a Spotify fan too. They recommend some great music for my tastes and interests. Thank you for watching!

I have a 2018 CVO rg and it comes with the Sirius xm option. You just gotta call and activate it.
You can activate on the Internet. I like to stream RUclips music from my phone it is included with premium. Nice install video. Ride Safe
Thanks HDR! It's been a great product so far. RUclips Music is very good too. Thanks for watching!
I didn’t see where you mounted the piece for the antenna to set on? Is it on the video? Thank you
I’ll have to go back and check out the details of the video. I’ll take a look this evening. Thank you for watching!!
I’ve been using CarPlay but this is my next mod
It's a pretty easy install and works great! I had this on my previous Street Glide too. Love your channel and thank you very much for watching!
Any reception issues now that you've had it for a while? That seems to be the biggest complaint.
A little bit especially if you are in the shade. But for the most part it operates great!
You made it look SO EASY! Now, come up here and install one on my Street Glide, eh? :D
hahaha! If I can figure it out...ANYBODY can! It's a pretty cool addition to the infotainment for sure!
@Ty From Tennessee the last one I installed was with a pro installer helping me, and it was a 2-week old Civic... we had the seats, dash, and center console all out of the car, lol!
You kind of have a Ryan Urlacher look going on in that profile picture Ty. LOL. Great video as always!!!
hahahaha! Never noticed that till now...Thanks Toby!
You should have weather and traffic too. I heard you have to explain or ask for technical assistance the should hook you up .
Hi Michael! That’s a great suggestion. I will probably get SiriusXM on the phone and see if I can get that going. Thanks for watching!

Can you use your bike controls to control the xm radio I can’t change the stations
Looks like you are ready to roll now.
Love XM! It makes the ride so much better! Thank you for watching!
Your thumbnail looks like Ryan Urlacher.
I will take that as a compliment. It's been a while since I've watched his channel. Time to revisit, I guess. Thank you for watching!
You didn't show how to install mounting bracket
I’m sure you can find that information on the HD website.
@@TyFromTennessee nope
We listen to Pandora for free ! There shouldn’t be a language barrier in America we speak English
I hear ya friend, but it is the world we live in. The person that I spoke with was very helpful though...Thank you again!!
