    Thanks for a great video! Thinking about getting the same 12" bars. Do these bars have holes to align the controls? And is there a hole for the pin in the clamp? Also, how much would you say this raises your hands over the stock bars? Do these bring your hands back closer to the rider compared to stock?
    Thanks for all your help!

    Kyle I love your videos I want to change the bars on my street glide but they charge so much to do it it’s crazy ! I’m trying to find a nice shop around me to do it cheaper I’m in New Jersey . Keep up the excellent work with your videos 🙌🏼🙌🏼

      Thanks so much Novo! I appreciate that. Yes, very expensive. The SG’s are definitely a bit more tricky since you have to take the fairing mostly off. But it’s definitely worth it! Best of luck 🤞🏻 maybe we’ll cross paths someday!

    For some reason I’m having a hard time with the cables. I cut all the zip ties and took them out of the slots the cables tucked in too. It’s still too tight. I only got 12”

    I just did my factory 47 handlebars 12-in last night got the throttle side done. Today I did the left side would have been easy but I installed kahuna heated grips. It was more tedious than the right side. I tried the clutch and brake side and noticed it was long enough so I unclipped the clutch cable and the brake cable ( cut wire tie that was almost hidden) I . That's where I'm at I need to plug everything in and hopefully everything works. I used cable pulling lube and it still was a pain in the ass more like pain in a fingers I got blisters from pulling the string.. it is very tedious you have to pull two cables staggered. You pull one than the other. I highly recommend using cable pulling lube... I will let you know when I'm done hopefully everything works... By the way I used a string tied to small amount of paper towel then they use a vacuum to suck the string right through the bars it took like 2 seconds. You don't have to drop a chain with a nut use a vacuum it's a lot faster... Just saying vacuums the way to go to start your tedious adventure Good luck everybody.

    • @MotoHeadKyle
      @MotoHeadKyle  Год назад

      Yep. I’ve done two sets of bars with heated grips. It’s a royal pain in the ass. That’s a good idea with the vacuum. Although getting the chain through takes only 5 seconds and that’s the least of the problem when doing bars🤣 it’s feeding the wires back through. Hopefully everything works out when you get it back together!

      @@MotoHeadKyle everything works no problems I actually push the handlebars forward slightly they're almost shoulder height.. it's definitely worth doing yourself .Once done ,open up some brewskies and enjoy the great work you just did That's what I did...lol.. definitely a difference in feeling from factory garbage bars to these..

    Hi Kyle, I know it isnt going to be easy, but do you think its possible to get heated grips wire through as well on the left side ? I am also thinking about going with the 47 12" signature.
    I just need to figure out having them shipped to Denmark Europe :)

    • @MotoHeadKyle
      @MotoHeadKyle  Год назад

      Yes absolutely it’s possible! I ran that on my personal road glide. It definitely is more challenging but take your time, use some lube and you’ll be fine🤘🏻best of luck with it!

    Hi great vid thanks. I’d like to change the bars on my 22 RG limited. Can I re use the factory heated grips already fitted? What’s the difficulty that makes it so much harder? Appreciate any advice. Thank you

    • @MotoHeadKyle
      @MotoHeadKyle  Год назад

      Yes, you can re use the factory heated grips. It makes it harder because you’re feeding an extra set of wires through an already tight space. So they naturally get snagged up on the corners inside the bars. It’s doable but you’ll just need to have the patience.
