  • Welcome to part two of this custom workbench, mitre-saw (or miter-saw where ever you are) station build. In this video I expend the base workbench to integrate my trusty mitre-saw.
    I don't use (or own) a large compound mitre saw, for those bigger, deeper cuts I opt to use my table saw. For small jobs/projects however, such as picture frames, moulding and other smaller cuts, I always end up using my 'baby' mitre-saw.
    There is still more to come on this build so stay tuned for part three!

    Well Done! Even gave me an idea for my miter station upgrade going on now. Instead of building a new station for new saw, add an new top ( It was low anyway) Thank for sharing and thank you for the idea!

      Yes! I wanted flexibility just in case down the track I ditched the saw, got a new one, or perhaps wanted to repurpose the unit. If it's built as one giant single unit, it can only ever have one purpose, so this was my solution to make it a little more 'modular'.

    Deadset cracking job.... almost a shame to waste it on Ryobi :P Just kidding. Love the DIY tracksaw and your precision with this build, it looks fantastic.

      Thanks 👍 You're not wrong about the Ryobi tho, but I just can't bring myself to get rid of it yet just yet.

      @@barberspaddockwoodworking No need if it is still working, but as it dies you can look at upgrades ;) A lot of their gear is actually pretty good and should last a number of years.

      Well that's why I still have it. A reminder of the 3m x 3m garden shed I used to work out of not that long ago....

    That is too nice of station for that ***** miter saw. ;-). I'm glad I found your channel, I hope you have success. Looking forward for more projects. Been wanting to do the same thing, but I'm too chicken to start a channel.

    Those clamps are great arnt they the 10 dollar bunnings special mine went down to 5 dollars a pear man i scooped up about 10 pairs again nice work mate ;)

    • @barberspaddockwoodworking
      @barberspaddockwoodworking  Год назад +1

      Very much agreed on that. For basic clamping there is little reason to spend big bucks on them. I will however need to get some parallel clamps soon which will be a significantly bigger investment then these ones...

      @barberspaddockwoodworking  Год назад

      The certainly do, yes, but I've not pulled the trigger on them just yet (need to save a few more $$). As you probably know you can't just buy 1 or 2 clamps, especially for parallel clamping, gotta get at least half a dozen and that does add up fast!
