I love John 6, God used this chapter to finally shatter my delusion of saving myself by works. Jesus straight up declares the best news ever then runs off over five thousand people because nobody wanted to hear it. He even goes as far to say they can't even choose to believe in Him unless the Father first draws them. You can't even take credit for your faith. There is no room for pride or self-righteous, every saint is no greater than the worst sinner without Jesus Christ. Let His mercy be declared to all of the creation to sing of His glory, and His honor. Those that exalt themselves shall be made low but those who humble themselves shall be lifted up.

Yes but God the Father decides what people He draws to Jesus. Why then does He decide not to draw most people to Jesus? There are reasons why most people die unsaved.
Understanding is important. For example if someone is determined to cling to the teachings of the Quran, then there's a problem because Allah is a false god.

Yes people do have a will but nobody seeks God initially even though they have a will. God has to seek us. If God didn't have mercy on us nobody would be saved. People go astray. Everyone goes astray. We are lost. Like sheep we are lost. God seeks us and thereafter the reason some people have a hunger and thirst for truth is that God has given them that hunger and thirst for truth.

Putting faith in Christ for salvation is completely opposite from what every religion or philosophy in the world will tell you because they make it about you. Thank God the work of salvation is about Jesus. That’s where many miss the mark because they don’t have saving faith. From the beginning until now, we can only be justified by faith. Habakkuk 2:4 “Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith.”

Then go do something that shows your faith is alive

Thank you for this, so simple and powerful. I hear/see people discredit this by using the scripture that even demons believe in Jesus, so believing alone is not enough. They're saying you have to earn it which goes against scripture and is putting faith in a sinner (self) to earn salvation. I like your video on that as well about trusting Jesus not selves.

I am new in believer of God Jesus. Is stopping listening to metal music, smoking weed and things like that are considered works? Like trying not to sin as much? Once saved, you cannot lose your salvation in ANY way. We have already been sealed by God. No one, not ourselves and not Satan, can remove that seal. And besides, we will not be here for the mark anyway. We will be raptured prior to the reveal of the Anti-Christ.

I have a question.
You said that we are saved by grace through faith, not our works. So if we make a mistake and sin, it won't have any effect on our salvation, right?
Matthew 6:15 says : "Your heavenly Father will forgive you if you forgive those who sin against you; but if you refuse to forgive them, he will not forgive you."
Based on this, if we don't forgive others, we won't be forgiven, and we'll lose our salvation.
So are we still saved by faith alone?

What do you need to believe about Jesus to be saved? That he is the Son of God and God in the flesh. That he died for all our sins and rose again on the 3rd day.

@teresabailey7400 The Bible says that eternal life is a FREE GIFT that is attained at the very moment of BELIEF/FAITH on Christ and His finished work on the cross where a person is eternally saved in a nanosecond - John 5:24.
John 5:24 - Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, HATH everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is PASSED FROM DEATH UNTO LIFE.
There are many devout Roman Catholics, Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, Calvinists, Arminians, etc, who all claim to have a "relationship" with Christ, but are not saved. Why? Because they all have another "Jesus" that is not the same Jesus of the Bible. They have a "Jesus" that requires the front loading and back loading of works in order to possibly save them at the very end of their lives.
(The front loading of works "to get saved" and the back loading of works "to stay saved and to prove to oneself and others that they are saved.") The thief on the cross in Luke 23:42-43 never had a relationship with Christ, but he was convinced that he was a sinner in need of a Savior that would save him from eternal judgment. He was convinced that Jesus is God and asked Jesus to save him where Jesus personally declared to him that he is saved right then and there.
All other false doctrines/denominations within mainstream Christianity including Roman Catholicism, Mormonism, Jehovah's Witness doctrine, Calvinism/Lordship Salvation all teach that having good works and having a relationship with Christ is imperative for "possible salvation" at the end of one's life depending on how well the person commits, obeys, and perseveres to the end in faith. That is WORKS salvation which cannot and will not save anyone, hence, Jesus's rejection of them at the Great White Throne Judgment - Matthew 7:21-23.

People think I am trolling when I say I’m not working my way to heaven. Think what you want. I’m just being clear. We don’t work at all period. Don’t confuse what must I do to “be” saved from what must I do to be Jesus’ disciple. I’m not sure I can be his disciple, it’s costly.

I see and do believe these passages, but how come there are verses that seem contradictory, like when Paul wrote that there is a sin that leads to death (blasphemy of the Holy Spirit?) or even the book of james where he talks about Abraham being justified by works. Or when Paul writes if you live according to the flesh you will die , but if you live in the spirit you will live. I just pray the righteousness of Christ is imputed on me. I know I can’t trust myself . If anyone can breakdown any of these passages I would like to know more

Hebrews 13:10 speaks of eating from an altar seperate from the altar which those under the Levitical priesthood eat from and Jesus spoke of eating His flesh and drinking His blood for eternal life. The old testament sacrifices being eaten points to the sacrifice of Christ which we eat of to have eternal life. Again Jesus said "do not labor for meat that perish but for the meat that endures unto everlasting life which the Son of Man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed" He speaks here of giving His flesh for the life of the world. He speaks in the most simplest terms saying how one may receive this meat "John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. "
Jesus referring to His flesh as the meat that endures unto everlasting life which would that imply that eating of such meat would have everlasting effect on those who consume it, Indicating that His flesh gives us everlasting life which cannot be lost.
Question. What about apostasy? What if, after having been saved, someone no longer believes, and even rejects and detests God, and becomes an Atheist or Satanist? Because think about it. God does not force you into His company. Of you dont want to be with Him, He will honor your choice. But, having already been given the gift of salvation, how can he still honor that?
If someone gave you a free car but no longer drive the car and deny you ever had the car, did you still receive the car? Or you were given a free car but never went to pick it up. Honestly if you really received the holy spirit it would be hard to deny having it.
@@tomcatpurr Oh I agree. The Holy Spirit is quite an experience, and I can't imagine giving it up, personally. But I wonder if it's possible to be endowed by the Holy Spirit only to fall away from it later. And if it is, would God still put you into His company for eternity against your will? Something I've been confused about.
@@aaronharlow2137 Well being born again of the spirit means that Gods eternal life is now yours. thats what it means and the whole point of being saved. And since Gods life is merged with yours its something that can't be lost. Also when we are still in this sinful flesh sometimes we fall but when we're raised with sinless spiritual flesh bodies that Jesus was also raised with it would be be impossible to not want to live without God forever.
