I have a 2008 1500 4.8 with the same plug not plugged into anything. Same brace on the back! I would say just pull a factory one from the junk yard if you can find one.
I do want to say that with your old one with just the button on the dash you can reset it by going to oil life with the key on but engine off and then hold the button till it resets. Took me way too long to figure that out.
Excellent video. Bought my 2010 Silverado LT new December 24, 2010. This was a great simple 5 minute upgrade. Cost $46.21 from Amazon. Wish I had done this years ago.
My lt came with it even the rear view back up camera, no leather, no heated seats, under middle front storage and flip console are my favorite Instead of the console that takes up the floor pass gap between the front seats no sun roof but I wish I had heated seats. I think 13.4 but always 13 except the first couple days of owning it the average was 17.7 I watched it drop and stop never to exceed 13.4 again but will drop to gallon and half in winter when I idle alot
ANY GM Truck you can find engine hours !!!!!! Key off ! PRESS the odometer button down !! HOLD till engine hours will pop up !! Little known FACT !! 👍👍🇨🇱
Seeing you use a knife to pop off your trim was leaving me so uncomfortable 😂then the way you were handling the knife while trying to put the pieces together just left me uneasy but thanks for the video I learned something new about my truck
Haha I have a 2012 silverado LS an don't worry bro you think ur truck is dirty you should see mine haha there a layer of drywall an sawdust on the dash I clean it once a week top to bottom an it don't seem like I do haha but I work in construction flipping million dollar houses an I beat the shyt out of this truck
I was fixto sale mine before it Messed up. 120k miles on it. I found a old buddy that told me they can delete it in the computer. So now it should last and not have any problems
Also did all injectors would run fine for about 5 most 15 miles or it would be fine but first aggressive throttle response check engine light would come on , got the intake manifold done fine every since

I have a 2012 work truck I bought new. I did this mod a few years ago and it's been working fine. The plug was already there on mine, too.
Even with manual locks and windows?
The DIC upgrade is the first thing I did when I bought my 2012, complete plug and play even on my SWB single cab

My 2009 1500 doesn't even have a trip meter. But I pulled the panel and the connector is there, indeed.
Glad you have the driver information center now like the rest of us
I have a lt too and I had that from factory I don’t know why he didn’t have😂
@@hunterryhorski7289I have a 08 lt and I don’t have it
@@mindfulmeditation6082 well that’s sure odd I wonder why in my 2010 and my 2013 I have on both from factory
I have the 2010 lt and it doesn't have it either.

I love that trim panel tool! Lol😂🤣
Great info didn’t know what that plug was for
Mine comes in ltz at right of steering wheel. I have electric brake control as well but that's aftermarket lol
Mine already had it, I didn’t even know they didn’t come with it.

Does anybody
notice how clean that truck is? Wink wink...( i got your back)
I have a 2013 LT trim and I have the instrument cluster
I've got a 13 lt and it's got the information switches
Yep
I have the same truck but LTZ I have NEVER gotten the fuel economy to change from 13😂
man i get 12 mpg
same
Word 13
Why
12
I cringed everytime you used your “trim panel tool” 😂😂
2011 afm delete, intake, exhaust gets 16.2mpg
Is the suspension and tire size still stock?
What was the cost of the delete?
My 2010 1500 Lt came with the buttons on the side interesting
depends on like the package work truck wont have it but the top of the line would

Just ordered for my statik 07 Lt single cab. Gm really suck for not having this on all trim models
How I take apart a semi dash when in a hurry. Lol. I work fleet vehicles so.....
I wonder if the volume controls are in the steering wheel too, maybe you can buy a replacement one and just put it on.
Yes, the plug is there
my 13 lt z71 already has that?
This is neat
My LT had it from the factory. Had automatic climate control too. You sure yours isn't LS?
I doubt the mpg with no lift will change much of the fuel economy, but a fun lil experiment nonetheless 😁
I have a barebones (no a/c, no pw and no pl) single cab regular bed Silverado ...this will work for that?
Yes
Could you just buy a aftermarket moh gauge like a digital one would that do the same as this upgrade instead of buying a whole new dash panel.
Interesting
Both lt’s i had came with it
Weird my LT has that
Great vid
Does any one know if these work on a 2008 gmc sierra 4.3
Only must do is disable AFM.
Tint and a new deck.
I did the afm dod delete last night
@@Hats4everyone good call. AFM wrecked my motor. I didn't know about the flaw until the infamous lifter tick and oil always being low was present.

@@Hats4everyone keep an ear out for the lifter tick and always keep an eye on oil levels. That AFM is a b*tch.
@@m.m14433how many miles did your truck have when the engine got wrecked?
You ever see P219A code? My truck keeps having this code come and go away by itself. Possibly injectors on passenger side?
Probably an O2 sensor

I jealous of your gas mileage
09 Lt 1500 should have the same unused plug correct?
As far as I can tell every truck this body style should have that plug.
The lift is killing your fuel mileage.
You mean to tell me that it will also tell me the psi in the tires instead of just add air to lf tire
Yes sir
Does anyone know if a 2011 silverado 1500 ls would have th3 same unused plug?
Should have it
Yes
Will this work on the v6? I know I’m poor 😂
My 13 lt has it so I don’t know what your talking about lol
LT trims do mine does
What a waste of a video
